  1. Then you're in line with your ideological friends" "A new Gallup poll reveals that, in 2021, just 45 percent of Republicans report having a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in science, compared to 72 percent of Republicans in 1975. Democrats and independents have remained largely confident in science as an institution over the years, shifting from 67 percent to 79 percent, and 73 percent to 65 percent, respectively, between 1975 and 2021, per Gallup." There are pills you can take for your depression.

Well hopefully next time you can be recognized for your potential. Perhaps a new seat can be created on the UN P5. The P5 plus Windsor perhaps.

I'm surprised that they didn't ask your opinion! An acknowledged student of history. With a deep knowledge of psychology, anthropology and social conduct. Your cynicism is only matched by your deep intellect.
  4. For the GOP there are the additional issues of adultery, theft then the big one. No gods before god. Yet trump proclaimed himself as "the chosen one".
  5. Thats why one of the more intelligent lawyers was crying. The others were using the mumbo-jumbo "I know nothing" defense.

Brent is out! Windsor is the new leader and chief. Best troll in SC. Sorry Brent.
  7. So is the EU. Coming soon to American exports, carbon import duties. "The most contentious element is something called a border carbon adjustment tax. It would impose tariffs on the greenhouse gas emissions associated with products imported from outside the European Union and, in effect, would protect European companies from goods made in countries with less-stringent climate policies. Among the products that it could target, according to a draft leaked in June, are steel, cement, iron and fertilizers. This carbon border tax could not only shake up global trade and invite a dispute over protectionism in the World Trade Organization, it could also create new diplomatic fault lines ahead of international climate talks taking place in Glasgow in November."
  8. Obviously its not but they can hardly admit that they knew their submission was false or misleading. Evidently the affidavit contained a statement from a polling station worker. Who stated that they saw votes being switched. The judge asked the lawyers if they interviewed that witness. They stated that they didn't know who directly talked to that "witness". But it was none of them. So they swore that hearsay statements were true. It sounds as if they are collectively trying to flimflam a judge who has seen and heard it all before.
  9. Wherever, under any law of the United States or under any rule, regulation, order, or requirement made pursuant to law, any matter is required or permitted to be supported, evidenced, established, or proved by the sworn declaration, verification, certificate, statement, oath, or affidavit, in writing of the person making the same (other than a deposition, or an oath of office, or an oath required to be taken before a specified official other than a notary public), such matter may, with like force and effect, be supported, evidenced, established, or proved by the unsworn declaration, certificate, verification, or statement, in writing of such person which is subscribed by him, as true under penalty of perjury, and dated, in substantially the following form: (1) If executed without the United States: “I declare (or certify, verify, or state) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on (date). (Signature)”.
  10. These lawyers aren't totally stupid. An affidavit is a sworn statement. When a lawyer submits it they swear it to be true. Hence "nobody read it" The entire"matter" is a sham. They know what happened to Giuliani and they want to avoid discipline themselves. I'm surprised that when the male lawyers witness the crying they didn't go for a hail Mary themselves. Perhaps prostrating themselves at the foot of the bench then wailing and crying. Like a world cup soccer player trying to draw a yellow card against an opponent.
  11. I applaud the time and effort you spend on some of your posts. Rolling my eyes is sometimes too much of an effort for some of the ideas around here.
  12. "The B.C. Wildfire Service has spent more than $95.4 million fighting fires this season, eating through more than 70 per cent of its annual allocated budget before the start of peak fire season. The forestry ministry provided the figures in a statement to CBC News on Wednesday. The wildfire service's total budget allocated for the 2021 fire season is $136 million." Not including the costs to towns and villages completely destroyed. Sounds like the government will have to buy more bulldozers and water bombers to "fix" the problem.
  13. trump's pissed that he missed out on that 10k. So he sued Google, Facebook and Twitter together with their CEOs. "Shortly after the news conference wrapped, Trump’s political entities started sending out fundraising messages that touted the lawsuits in their appeals for money. One such text message, written as if it were coming from Trump himself, includes a link to his joint fundraising committee Save America, which also raises money for other Republican political initiatives." trump and the GOP both know the GOP base is a bottomless pit of cash equally matched with stupidity.
  14. Sometimes it takes a whole community to educate a redneck racist.
  15. They both built walls! Hitler the Atlantic wall and trump the Mexican border wall. I guess neither one was successful.
  16. Adolf Hitler “did a lot of good things.” according to trump. Of course he did if you're a GOP/trump supporter.

    covid-19

Agree, thirteen thousand and rising at 14%(over two weeks). Once travel opens up internationally the variants will be jetting about as well.

    covid-19

Perhaps Excellent examples of restrictions that cost little and provide protections. IMO sporting events like NASCAR, baseball, football, etc. Events where the stands are full are excellent opportunities to spread covid. Especially in areas of the country where vaccination rates are low.
  19. If anyone bothers to waste their time watching this video, I didn't. The producers of this video: "PragerU, short for Prager University, is an American 501(c)(3) non-profit media company that creates videos on various political, economic, and sociological topics from an American conservative perspective...PragerU is not an academic institution and does not hold classes, does not grant certifications or diplomas, and is not accredited by any recognized body.[7][8] PragerU's videos over a range of topics including climate change, racial issues, and opposition to immigration have been criticized for misleading or factually incorrect content.[9][10][11][12] In August 2018, PragerU criticized YouTube for adding fact-checks containing basic information about climate change to PragerU's videos about climate change.[25][9] The videos support and argue for capitalism, against a $15 minimum wage, and that gun ownership is a constitutional right. Dave Rubin states in a video: "racism, bigotry, xenophobia, homophobia, and Islamophobia" are "meaningless buzzwords". In a video about the alt-right, Michael Knowles argues that it has nothing in common with conservatism and instead is close to leftism, except the left is much larger.[4] The videos promote the Electoral College, arguing that it thwarts voter fraud and that "pure democracies do not work".[13] Climate Feedback, Reuters and the Weather Channel have found that PragerU's videos promote inaccurate and misleading claims about climate change.[34][35][36][37][9][38] Over a dozen videos promote fossil fuels and dispute the scientific consensus on climate change.[9] PragerU was founded in 2011 by conservative radio talk show host Dennis Prager and radio producer and screenwriter Allen Estrin,[13]in order to advocate for conservative views and to offset what Prager regards as the undermining of college education by the left.[6][14] It receives the majority of its funding from the fracking industry.
  20. I would add that Americans distrust their government more than other western countries. They distrust the services their government provides and their motivations more often. The US military exempted. Along with that distrust is a lack of trust of other citizens. Of the bond of civil society. This leads in part to the whole SHTF society is razor thin mentality. Of me, my Colt against everyone else.
  21. The rest of your statements are false or misleading as usual. Yes and even Ruger knew that more than a $1 was a waste of money because of NRA corruption.
  22. Part of the trump/GOP and blind-intellectually challenged followers playbook. Spread it around, perhaps some will stick. Perhaps the smell will distract. Even if you're not downwind, play the victim. Sorry if your fake news, disinformation and anti-science playbook doesn't get the response here you want. The US is number two after India for fake news, disinformation, etc. among all countries. I know the GOP always aim for number one
  23. Statements of reprimand roll off the backs of lawyers. Like drops of water of a ducks back. Unless they are sanctioned with fines or costs its all moot.
  24. At trump enterprises taxes are for little people. When trump talks to his base of little people at his rallies. Their accountants aren't around to explain the nuances of fraud and tax planning.
