WA Guardsman Sentenced to Life for Aiding Terrorists
jazzjumper replied to a topic in Speakers Corner
Because he wasn't convicted of treason, but of... Why he wasn't charged with treason probably has a lot to do with amount of evidence required to get a conviction. The burdeon of proof is extreme under the UCMJ. The list of charges is here. He can get up to life, but it isn't considered a capital offense under the UCMJ. Story is he didn't even bleed. However, it could all be cleared up if he simply released his medical records. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Okay, lets talk inevitable costs. Furnace/AC - needs to be less that 10 years old and inspected. Replacement cost 1200-2200 Roof - same deal... cost can be 1700-5000 depending on the size style. Water Heater - $250. Refrigerator - 700 Washer/Dryer - 1000 Now, the idea is to use a reputable realtor, and get a quality home inspection. Walk around with the inspector as well, and make certain that you Getting a first year home warrenty for appliances is an option, mine cost me $375, and had a $100 deductable. I used it once, on the furnance and A/C. Saved me about $1200. Bottom line, home ownership is a big responsibility. Search and choose wisely, bid a little lower, and make certain you have some in savings to cushion the effect of problems. Also, know that things like curtains, etc will put a big dent in to moving in as well. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Good question. I own, and have owned a few before this one. The overiding factor was the economy of the decision. There are many websites that offer some good hints on a rent versus buy decision. However, it is a big decision. If you have no savings and you live month to month, and you aren't settled in the location you think you'll be for 5 years, renting is probably a wiser decision. If you have a steady income, a little savings after a down payment (for the inevitable costs associated with home ownership), then you might try researching "rent vs buy" on google. There will be tons of links to help you out. Good luck! No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Cool, I never thought of the reason for it, and didn't quite expect that answer. Learn something new everyday. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

What does it mean to win the "War on Terror"?
jazzjumper replied to narcimund's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes I do. Try this and search on Spain. That is only the economic development $...there is more. Wow, look at that, we gave more than $2B to Spain in 2003. I wonder if you can find out how much your precious EU gave you guys for economic development last year? As a matter of fact, we give to all the countries in the EU for economic development. Imagine that...the mighty EU needs subsidies from the evil US. No, funding Israel is (which is what I said.) We went in to Iraq to quell the posibility of terrorism (Al Quaida...and destroyed 3 of their training camps), and to enforce the 14 resolutions that Iraq ignored (many of which Spain supported.) The WMD argument is a media invention. Bush never stated the reason we were going was because Iraq had WMDs, even though the media goes in to a frenzy about it. You've done little to prove your point except to rant a left-wing US media approach to an argument, and you misrepresent what I say rather than deal with the substance of it. It's effective for many people who wear out in an argument easily...but since I'm recovering from surgery, this is a good way to kill time. The facts (which you don't link to) don't exist. If so, feel free to link to them if you care to. I'd be happy to learn something through all this. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit! -
Cool, what altitude would that be? No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

My point is, it's fun to watch the liberal media trying to spin GWB's successful speech (their words) and the immediate 11 point bumb (which their own talking heads estimated at 5-6 points maybe.) Again, I put no stock in any of this...it just goes to show you that watching politics can be a good sport if you have a sense of humor. LMAO... I guess all the hate-mongering worked. It couldn't possibly be that the RNC had a better message than the DNC, and that they held a more inclusive convention. Time Online says... Frankly, I don't put much stock in any of the polls. But since the left lives and dies by them, it's fun to poke the tiger. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Did you put a deposit down? What does your lease say? You can always file a claim in court and it's up to them to prove the condition of the apartment when you left. The worse that can happen is you pay the money, but you inconvienence them. I'm all about training management companies. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Not really, those resolutions mostly condem and deploy, or minor calls to have Israel do the same. They are nothing like the 14 action oriented resolutions against Iraq. However, good point about resolutions. Yeah, I just get a little pissed when someone from overseas is obviously harping the liberal media without thinking it though. I do like the exchange of info. I learn a lot. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit! -
Too funny! No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Yep, regardless of who is in power, bad things happen in the world. Those are dark moments in US history. The school massacre is an atrocity in any religion, to any country, to any way of thinking. It's barbaric, cowardly, and senseless. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Keep another window or two with business on it. If he shows up, use Alt-tab to switch quickly between screens. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

that is not entirely true - the accumulation of chicken-hawks and war-theoreticians who would choose to go to wars on ideological reasons and who would trumpet with war herosim they had absolutely No, WE meaning the Republicans. Kerry brought it up, regardless of the state of affairs in US politics. We are responding to the veracity of it. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

You sound like a wonk from the liberal media press here. We went in to Kuwait to get Iraq out and to protect Saudi Arabia (because they asked us to.) The free flow of oil at market prices drives the world economy... but if we were invaders, why didn't we just take the oil ourselves instead of continuing to purchase it at market prices? Yep, it's blood money to keep them from killing the Palestinians...it's the only thing keeping that part of the world from braking out in to all out war (which Israel would win handily.) Specifics? John Pollard is still in jail. The next issue is something we are looking in to. My response is still the same. Not any more. We are a free country and got caught because of our freedom. Yep, but they the trail went back to Osama in Afghanistan Yep, crushed Al Quaida and the Taliban (for supporting them. Yep, and liberated another nation, who in fact had ignored 14 UN resolutions (which Spain supported mind you.) No one should have voted for them if they weren't willing to take action to enforce them. We did, get over it. Yes we do. So what? We are the largest user of oil in the world. It's what drives our economy. Yep, our actions do speak louder than our words. When piss-assed countries like yours get threatened or attacked, or experience some natural disaster, where does most of the financial and humanitarian support come from? How much do we help Spain every year? I'd be more than happy to cut your and other ungrateful countries off, but that would have repercussions to that part of the world that go against our national strategy. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit! -
I agree...but WE didn't bring them up. He did, so I think it's okay to question the veracity of his claims since that is the only thing he is using to justify him being elected. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Good, then I stand corrected (if he'll release his medical records.) No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Okay, the same right wing news site has updated this story. While I haven't confirmed this yet through the Navy's public affairs (and I'm working on it), if John Kerry really did make those comments about Adm Borda, and there is a problem with any of his medal citations...he just lost himself the Presidency. Judicial Watch has apparently filed a complaint through the Navy's IG, which compels them to investigate (per Navy regs, for all those naysayers who say now the Navy is trying to influence an election.) Look here. This is funny, watching Kerry implode. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

[ You couldn't handle it. Prove it. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Yes I did. He's a Democratic, as you well know. Many of the other dems had similar speeches, but I grant you that Zell was mad, and he looked mad. Frankly, he said a lot of things the the Regan Demoncratics love...and just moved their votes to Bush. I did read many of the speeches and I disagree with the premise they didn't come near what Rudy said. The Dems attacked continously. The RNC did attack as well, but it was on Kerry's own words and record. Watch for the bump...should have some data on that in the next few days. Hey, different question...John Edwards mentioned Kerry carrying around shrapnel in the response to Bush's speech (yet, another first in convention history). How will Kerry answer that? He never took subcutaneous shrapnel! LMAO! They are IMPLODING. Fun to watch. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

That is a really good question. All the protestors caught on the floor so far have been plants, meaning they have shown up, gotten credentials and training. It turns out they are Democratics. But my serious question is, how many Republican protestors were removed from the DNC? I can't recall any, but I wasn't paying as close attention. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

Bashing? No, quoting...there is a difference. They are simply quoting his own words and examining his own record. And what was the Democratic Convention? That wasn't a love fest to be sure. Hey, Chris Matthews and company said it was a home run, A+. I'm surprised they thought so well of it. I liked it, but then again, I like GW. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!

I never said that about GWB, but given the options (Gore or Kerry) the right man in my view is doing the job. As far as dead guys, I mean the 3000+ Al Quaida that have woken up dead can't hurt us anymore. How many is enough? All of them, I say. We are fighting them seriously. I have friends there right now. Pakistan is doing their work in Pakistan, we are doing it in Afghanistan. There were training there, and we took out three of their camps in the north. Yes, but that is apples and oranges. There were borders and known weapons in that arena, as well as a government to deal with. They just wanted to spread communism. However, islamic terrorists want us dead, period. Well, I think the people of Mass must like them both because they continue to re-elect them. However, since in 19 years Kerry has authored nor coauthored any serious legislation. He has missed 76% of the votes this past year. Now if the people of Mass think that is cool, it's for them to deal with. As far as Kennedy and Kerry? They both amuse me. I could care less what they do in Mass. I do care what they do that affects the rest of the US, and it's why I'm totally against Kerry for President. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
