  1. Good for you (being in the military.) Medals and ribbons are two separate things (I'm in the military as well.) Yes, medals do have an associated ribbon. But if you go back to the era and watch the protests, and watch the vets who threw their "medals" over the fence, the were indeed the medals (not ribbons.) The point was that Kerry changed his story so many times, and then eventually rested on the fact that ribbons and medals are used interchangeably. Why would the White House give credence (and press) to an obvious forgery? It serves no purpose, other than to validate an accusation. They don't care, because they know the truth is coming out and damaging Kerry far more than the spurious allegations are hurting the Pres. It's amazing to me that people can run on the "anybody but Bush camp." You know, I don't agree with him on much of his social policy. But he is the right war-time leader. Since the democratics couldn't put together anything more than Kerry, then I'm easily in the Bush camp. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  2. Thanks for offering...I almost always do. My point was you could do a little and post a workable link so others could confirm it easier. It also allows you do to some fact checking of your own (at the Heritage Foundation.) What a minute...what am I saying. Never mind. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  3. Right, I think it's an election year vote grabber....won't happen and I hate the idea of it. Benefit limitations....said like a true liberal. They are getting something for nothing. I prefer to think of it as putting them in charge of managing the limited government resources to handle their own healthcare. Are we to pay everything for everyone at will? True...easy fix. Vote him into office so he can't practice law anymore Yeah, right....that is why the people of Arkansas voted for Clinton...to get him out of state government. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  4. QuoteCheck out what the Heritage Foundation thinks of the two candidates overall, not just on one issue that makes up less of the budget than interest on the national debt. [crosspost removed] Yeah, you quoting yourself is really convincing. Why not post the like to the Heritage Foundation info. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  5. Okay, totally agree with this part. The facts in Mass don't support this. Just look at Kerry's voting record. We can dispense with the campaigning for this part of the discussion. Okay, this is where the crux of the philosophical differences come to a head. I think we spend too much on health care right now. It's not the money, it's the way it's being spent. Fix the insurance and delivery docuemntation system and there will be more to go around for the people who need it. How about this: 1. No free or subsidized health care (rather than true emergency services) extended to non-citizens (other than legal resident aliens.) 2. Individual medical accounts that people are responsible for, so they choose what they spend their health care dollars on. If they see the money going down, there is a chance they might be a little more choosy about their visits. 3. Tort reform. We must cap both lawsuits and the amount a law firm can make from a lawsuit to discourage junk law. Oh, by the way, isn't Kerry's running mate an ambulance chaser who made his millions by convincing groups of people, too stupid to get out of jury duty that gynocologists were responsible for their children's birth defects? Now there is a problem that should be fixed! Kerry sure knows how to pick a running mate...guy isn't even qualified to get reelected in his own state. Yeah, Kerry is certainly my choice for the Democratic nominee! No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  6. That's less than 5% of the entire budget. Worth it to insure the 45 million people who don't have insurance now.Quote So, you think it's worth more than $2,200 per person per year for insurance...only to nationalize it and make it something like Canada's? Long waiting for routine procedures. It's a crock. It's not only the money that bothers me, but it's the idea of ruining the best medical delivery system in the world. Not worth it to me. I don't agree with 800 Billion for a Mars trip either...but then again I never heard that either. Bottom line is how do you pay for it? What do you cut? Overall, Kerry is more liberal (look at voting records) that Carter ever was. Look what he did for our economy. No, Bush will do better. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  7. Wow, I feel honored. Quade and Billvon replied quickly! Okay, even tho this might be a troll (and I can be a sucker for them), here goes. Dan Rather goes on to 60 Minutes with documents given to him, purportedly by the Kerry Campaign. Now, experts and others are saying it's almost certain they are forged. Clicky. Of course, I heard Dan deny that they were today and said he is 100% certain they are authentic, and has the proof to back that up (but won't.) The documents are simply too accurate to have been produced with anything other than a modern word processing program and a laser printer, not to mention the almost perfect alignment and strike of each letter. Since that wasn't possible back in the early 70s, then they must be... The idea that they came from the Kerry campaign emerged this afternoon on Rush Limbaugh show (flaming can now commence.) I'll find the details of that for future flaming fuel. Okay, for those who doubt Bush's service. Clicky. And if you still doubt after this, say so and I'll provide 5 other well documented and well cooraborated links. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  8. Sure, I predict two differences. 1. This one will have a shorter media life (54 days). 2. This one will be proven true within the week. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  9. Hmm, I guess the NCPA doesn't agree with him. Over 10 years, they estimate Kerry's health plan alone will cost more than 1 Trillion more (yes, a T). I wonder what programs he'll cut and how he'll raise taxes to fix the deficit it will obviously create. If that is $100 Billion a year for you math novices added without new taxes. Clicky But, I'm sure it's just a right wing think tank trying to influence the election. Of course, the left would never do that. Hey, anyone else here the rumor that it was the Kerry campaign that turned over the forged documents to Dan Rather that started all this fun mess? Wow, what if that were actually true? That low rumbling you hear? It's the Kerry campaign imploding. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  10. Okay, we're talking about two diff things. I'm referring to the CBS story with the personal memos. Getting suspended from flight status isn't all that uncommon (esp for Guard pilots that don't fly commercially.) It completely fails to mention the fact that he gained more points every year of service to fulfill his baseline obligations to the Guard, which is the reason no one ever disciplined him. Ask me? I didn't claim those memos were forgeries. I was talking about the personal memos the CBS discussed on 60 minutes... which are by all 3rd party accounts. The ones referred to in your story are ones that had been release earlier (as stated in the story.) No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  11. What documents are you talking about? CBS says..."On "60 Minutes II" on Wednesday night, CBS' Dan Rather introduced four documents he claimed were written by Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, 1st Lt. George W. Bush's superior, establishing that Bush failed to meet the standards required by the Texas Air National Guard in the early 1970s." Where did you get the idea that the White House turned them over? Puff puff, give. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  12. MFRs written by service members are still considered official records. Sure there have been. Watch Fox news for 30 mintues...they are flying everywhere. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  13. Ah, so Kerry said he threw his medals over the fence, and then came back only after someone challenged him and said he threw someone else's medals over the fence, and then finally it was his ribbons he threw. We forced on all these flip flops, he said we routinely in the military refer to medals and ribbons as interchangeable. Well, I've been in for 5 times as long as he is, and we all know there is a significant distinction between ribbons and medals. My question is, is Kerry being thoughtful or telling two (or more) different accounts of an actual event? Remember, these aren't other people's takes, but his words from his mouth(s). BTW, all these audios have been aired on Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity's shows. I could dig up links to them all if pressed. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  14. Which ones? And are you the open minded guy who says they are being thoughtful? Oh right, that is just Kerry. Face it, Swift Boat guys have more people cooroberating their stories. Hell, Kitty Kelly can't even get quotes from Susan Bush right...and certainly has no one (except her invested publisher) supporting her. That slow rumbling you hear is the DNC imploding. It will continue for just under two more months. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  15. Hold on, the monkeys are poised to fly out of my ass. Why would they? It just gives the dems more press. Yeah, I'm sure the Swift Boat Veterans ads forged the video of Kerry. Well, I can tell you four things: 1. It's quite difficult to make an IBM selectrive I do superscript. 2. If you'll examine the documents, you'll see that the font alignment is laser exact. NEVER would an IBM selectric do that. 3. It wasn't SOP even when I got in to take the time to super/subscript anything not academic in the USAF. 4. Since someone created the exact same doument with Word 2003 and the same font (and I mean exactly), I'd find it hard to believe But, I'm really glad you have such an open mind about it all. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  16. Wow, I agree with PK (on the moderate part.) Frankly, I'd have to write someone in. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  17. Dude, you are just too bored. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  18. LMAO...I did that once. Doesn't it depend on how close the raindrop is to the end of the emitter? No, I didn't get off, but I did get the lowest possible fine. Jackass got me doing 47 in a 40, 2am in the rain. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  19. Even better...at least you have guts. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  20. Bwwwaaaahaaaahaaaa...nice way to spend your time. I bet you push ropes around as well. Guess that asshole on I-10 wasn't such a bad guy afterall. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  21. Oh well, at least you have the standards by which you'll submit your vote. I'm sure our country is better for your wise and thoughtful decision. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  22. Sharon Bush has stated on the record that she said no such thing... yet all the new Try this. You'll have to find the link on Drudge's page, but it's not his story, it's a Washington Post story. It's a smear attempt that Kitty has NO basis for. Another assault from the left. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  23. Fair enough, but when was that, during the build up? I was in force planning at the time, and they were responding to what the war plans were as stated, and we were getting those numbers from the front. Are you saying the leadership of your service was giving bad info back to the planners? What other theaters, Afghanistan? Are there others you are speaking about? I'm getting ready for my third trip. Too bad the generals in charge of the Army aren't giving that feedback to the boss. Two. 8-10 years to get fresh AMMO to the front? Spares for Bradleys and Hummers? Now tanks, I get. Thanks Clinton for that. But if the Army is that hard up, then the Army leadership needs to be sacked. It's up to them to communicate with the boss and make certain he knows the situation is. I've worked in the CAOC, and we aren't hearing any of this stuff (at this magnitude) from anyone, including the Army. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  24. I'm not sure I agree with that, but maybe the people you hang out with are of a different ilk than those I hang out with. Well, oil production isn't a zero sum game. They produce what the market will bear at the price OPEC agrees to. If we stop importing oil say from SA, they won't all the sudden be able to sell it all to Germany and France (who already have agreements with other oil producers). I did hear that China is stock piling oil, but still, they simply can't afford to pick up our slack for very long. Very true, but when you make tough decisions, you must live with the consequences. Personally, unless it's life or death, if I don't like doing business with the "only game in town", I do without. I let my $ talk. If the US were to do that with foreign aid and trade, this country would be in much better financial condition (but be even more vilified in the world as the evil doers that we are.) No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
  25. Same place we get them now. We can survive without their resources much longer than they can survive without our import business. We just don't have the balls to test drive it. For example, we use so much oil that there is no one to jump in and pick up the slack if stop purchasing it say, from Saudi Arabia. Who else would buy if from them? Supply and demand is a self correcting problem in a free world economy. No matter how good she looks, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit!
