  1. Sure, if Maggie Cheung is playing the skin flute (mine). Crass, I know....but so is a 425$ for a concert. FWIW, I saw Maggie Cheung at the Toronto Film Festival when she was promoting IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE and everybody was astonished (males and females) by how she was even more beautiful in person than she was in that movie. p.s. Add Michelle Reis to that list (see avatar) duh. Finally, the Stones of Today are NOT the Stones of old. nough said...
  2. must have fan on as well. hate little noises. the worse kind is when door isn't closed all the way (u know, till it CLICKS) and the wind keeps moving it that 1/2 inch back and forth. have to sleep in the raw, even in coldest winter. I slept under a ton of down stuff last year it was so cold. likey snuggling in morning, but definitely not at night. a little after doing the "shalanky-danky-do" and we are talking, but when it is sleepty-time, spread out. oh yeah, when the phone rings really late, I think it is that guy from the movie "when a stranger calls", which is really messed up.
  3. Now THAT is the kind of courage and self-knowledge I can respect and get excited about. Nice smile too.
  4. Got Hercules Boogie newsletter today and found out that 2006 boogie is cancelled. Bummer. I know I will be in europe and was hoping to just MAKE IT HAPPEN. Anybody ever been? Fun factor? Do enough people speak english to feel comfortable and safe? And finally, is the C-130 the bomb, or what?
  5. QuoteDoes this mean you're finally going to stop whining? Whew!Quote True. That said, it's hard to fault with anybody waiting for their very first rig.
  6. *in my best "Begbie" accent* "For fucks sake, man!"
  7. exactly....I feel like I am eating someone's half eaten lunch his work is so derivative....IMHO
  8. .. lots better than that OFFICE show.. I JUST DON'T GET THAT ONE!!! Don't feel bad, it's NOT you. If you have watched the original office on the BBC, it is unwatchable. It is not in the league of the original.....not funny, no comment on corporate culture, no pathos, etc etc.
  9. I get it. You are off your meds, right?
  10. and he showed me a good technique for getting my new SabreII in the bag.
  11. maybe, but for some ppl, myself included, it might be nice to know more specifically. For instance, my first rig was a brick because I wanted to have the smallest container possible. UGH! (this was when I was in the sport years before with jumps not listed here, and well, you know, god forbid I should 1 centimeter of my gear hitting air) I know of a few harness container manufacturers that not only list canopies but FIT of those canopies, esp. as they relate to comfort. ***#3) Have you bothered to send an e-mail to Aubry, or Bushman at Aerodyne? I think he is referring to the fact that even though their website is so specific and detail oriented, he is not that impressed with the thought put into sizing and compatibility cross-referenced with experience and real world choices. (at least that is what I got)
  12. Yarrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!! Hoist him from the yard ar, so he can watch his mate walk the plank!!!! Aaaaaarrrrr!
  13. Be careful. Officially, USPA membership is not accepted in France, and you may have to join the FFP (about 90€, and the need for a doctor's certificate stating you are apt to practice freefall). Some DZs may look the other way, but not all do. Frenchy, do you know what the policy is at Gap? I will be going and if that is the case, I will be bummed, big time.
  14. Go to Skyline. Order a "3-way". Enjoy. =) *** You tryin to say that Skyline Chili os the only place to get a "3-way" in cinci? Whoa!
  15. Is anybody familiar with the "air-o-space 5 in 1 bed" by the Thane company? Can you imagine yourself having this handy-dandy thingamadjig in your trunk or backpack. Whether you are on the boogie curcuit or makin the rounds seeing dz commers, this may be just the ticket. http://thane.com/html/products/kbh/airospace/sofa.html
  16. Rambo 2. Lets keep that our little secret that I even know that, ok?
  17. QuoteIn the early 80's, when USPA Nationals and the corresponding boogie were held in Muskogee Oklahoma, I got to jump the normally Florida based DC-3, 'Mr. Douglas'... not soon after boarding, they fired up the massive sound system, and me and 40 of my 'new' closest friends got to rock to Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Free Bird'. It was memorable. I didn't want to age myself BUT, I busted my cherry on Douglas listening to "UP All Night" by the Talking Heads. It was so much rockin fun I seriously considered not going home, like my friend Theresa, who didn't.
  18. okay........SERIOUSLY My One and Only Love sung by Sting (Leaving Las Vegas soundtrack) Friends got married in europe and took this song with them and they still thank me. can't go wrong with Unforgettable. That said said, it has been done, ad infinitum. check it out
  19. Actually, in upscale restaurants, most servers not only have a high school diploma but also college degrees. *** To say nothing of the fact that it is hard demanding work when done right. The best training I had for both academia and real estate was waiting tables at a great restaurant. (aside from intense study of area-specific discourse)
  20. QuoteWhile I was in Z-hills a few years back, *** Just before my first trip to z-hills, everybody at my dz used to fuck with me about the "swamps and gators" and to "watch out for bad spots" bastards....... btw, that alligator fut the fear of god back in to me.
  21. mini-hijack those damn avatar's are so damn cute, i'm hypnotized. and in the words of anti-hero george costanza "I say this after years of confirmed heterosexuality".
