    It is DEFINITELY ON. I have procured the use of a new MSR 4 season tent and I fully intend to show people how we party GREEK STYLE! wait...that didn't come out right.

    During a snow day someone (from a neighboring city no less) took my sisters sled and made her cry. I dispensed with him with EXTREME prejudice. I never backed down even in the sixth grade.

    I was sorta goofin about the safety Q. I thought of the passage in Neal Stephenson's novel CRYTONOMICON where a guy's boss is telling him to run for his life if they try to put him on an Airbus while he is on his way to southeast asia.     Flying to Phoenix from midwest. Should I fly Boeing 737 or Airbus A320? roomier? safer? Am I the only one who feels nervous getting on a plane WITHOUT a parachute (or two?)

    had a gf once who would not stop about my eyelashes. obviously, after years of confirmed heterosexuality (not that there's anything WRONG with that), I was a little nervous about this. Then she admitted that because she's asian, her eyelashes were half buried under her lids. poor thing...

    The only other thing is my GF's box wine and there is no way I'm drinkin that! Right there with ya. Even drunk, there are somethings you just shouldn't do. I use Yaeger for when I run out of antibiotics.

    Hair color is like paint, the easiest thing to change. I know what you mean about other names considered, I was excited about Clive Owen. That said, when I gave it serious thought, I didn't really think he was right for the role. In some ways he is too serious and too good an actor, if that makes any sense. Sometimes what an actor brings with them, their cache if you will, can be a detraction.     Besides, if it was a good foreign film, it wouldn't even have English dubbing. Hong Kong filmmaking is all about the export potential. When I watched "Infernal Affairs" (the inspiration for Scorsese's current project "The Departed") in Taiwan, the movie was in Cantonese, with both chinese AND english subtitles.

    This movie RULED!!!!!!!!!!! Great story deeply personal awesome political allegory mocking THE MATRIX was incredible homage to Bruce Lee was amazing and the characters... Chow gets better with every outing. I agree, forget about dubbing. Cantonese is so unique, gutteral (sp?) while managing to be musical. Finally....."Hero" is awesome, but different. Truth be told, they are both great because they were both successful, ya know? Ya gotta give Zhang Yimou credit for reinventing himself and doing justice to any kind of story.
