  1. Just saw "Grosse Pointe Blank" again (haven't seen it in years) and was still really impressed. Story, music, performances, social criticism.....it's all there. BTW, Is John Cusack EVER less than stelllar? And Alan Arkin was a hoot. That whol;e bit about him being the shrink and having an anxiety attack about treating a hit man. great stuff.....
  2. I despise celery. Quote *exhales* phew....I am relieved. Celery is truly disgusting. More importantly, now I can go back to holding up the blown up copy of your latest avatar with one hand. *snicker* *in my best frankenstein voice* "back GOOD, celery BAD"
  3. wait, I just want to get this straight. You picked off the sundrieds and red peppers?! I mean, if this is your "back beautifying diet", I am all for it. That said, from your description, it sounds liked you 86-ed the best part of the pizza. You must not be from california
  4. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeej----Happy B-Day, ya sick freak!

  7. Truth be told, I like it when my partner makes her hand blur just before I LET IT FLY. What can I say, I like the way it makes the pressure build. sheesh, I hope no relatives start reading DZ.com

  10. Can not get excited about Halle Berry ever since she hit that woman and took off. I know, she is drop dead gorgeous, and yeah, she was probably scared; blah, blah, blah. I just can't get past it. now.....different women strike my depending on my mood M-O-N-I-C-A B-E-L-L-U-C-I morning, noon, and night, and 4 times on sunday meg tilly sienna miller (can you say LAYER CAKE?) Sigourney Weaver (fearless actress; check out Death and the Maiden) (nice call) and finally...Gong Li. her more modern roles have left me week in the knees when I leave a movie. Check out "EROS' a trilogy of films by Wong-Kar Wai, Steven Soderbergh, and Michael Antonioni. Wong's is the strongest, most interesting, erotic,m and relevant. (Antonioni has obviously either not recovered from his stroke or is having a laugh at our expense)
  11. 2 : 0 : 0 what else is one to do when it is so cold and rainy?
  12. nice rig, especially the ring covers. well done. (i love seeing the way people PERSONALIZE their rigs since they all look so similar)
  13. Quoteis smokkkkiiiiin! Lesley you are so cruel but I love it! Quote Yeah, definitely "dirty pool" for a back lovin guy like myself. *wipes brow*
  14. C-O-N-G-R-A-T-S! (and well done)
  15. Wasn't there a review of this canopy in AUG issue of Skydiving? (don't quote me on the EXACT issue, but I know it is there somewhere late summer)
  16. Thanks El Sid....I am a fan as well and I have to remind myself that it's out there. (weekdays are hard and the weekends are....well, you know) I have always been a fan, but when he adapted The Naked Lunch and made an unadaptable novel work, well that is just damn impressive.
  17. Funny that you mentioned that. I went to that video too and am so depressed seeing her sell out. (not because of the dress, but the song and stageyness of it)
  18. If you do the research you will find that Edison was a prick.. and almost single handedly set the film industry back about 10 years in the late 1800s. Which could have been critical. ok, ok, I never said I wasn't a dork when it comes to some stuff....so sue me.
  19. well if that's the case then you should take Point Break off the list because it only had that one scene at the end. it was a kickass scene, but the rest of the movie was about surfing and robbing banks. er, uh, there were TWO skydiving scenes in PB.
  20. "Hronia Polla!" may you live many years (in greek)
  21. Finally saw it last night and laughed my ass off; which was a good thing because I really needed it. Anyway, everybody knows that Stewie rules and this just affirms what we already know. I loved all the references to pop culture. Part homage, part skewering of everything you can think of. Oh, and I LOVED the tribute to Ferris Beuller's Day Off. If you are around Seth Mcfarlanes age and or know the 80's forget about drinking anything during the movie because you will end up wearing it.
  22. People like Toim Cruise don't live in the real world. Nobody says "no" to him AND he can create his own reality. That kind of reality, lifestyle, and money doesn't make for much of a grounded life. I think that is part of the reason drugs, religion, and obsessive pursuit of hobbies are so huge in that industry. I think people who are into scietology are so adrift spiritually that they WANT to be told what to do on a certain level. That whole psychiatry/drug thing was the last straw with me. He has totally derailed.
  23. Didn't stop Jimmy Stewart in Hitchcock's VERTIGO.
  24. Cherry Bomb cherry vodka and red bull. Not bad.
  25. The first rig I bought for myself was a Talon and I loved everything about it; comfort, looks, and how innovative (at the time) it was. While I jump a vector now, I will more than likely go to a Voodoo when skyhook is licensed and I downsize. BTW, I never had a malfunction with that rig (over 300 jumps during my previous jump life in the 90s) and I think that is pretty cool.
