I go to THE University of Michigan. I am a senior (and soon to be 5th year) in Aerospace Engineering with a Math and Spanish double minor. I' was always really into space when I was a kid. I was meant to be an engineer. My ultimate goal is to become an astronaut and right now I am .5" under the height maximum, which is good.... I think they'd have to be kind of far apart. The wake vortex coming off of that 777 would be massive off of both engines. The wake behind usually ends up flowing down behind the flight path of the airline and can be as long as 300 yards or more long depending on wind, type of plane and air density/pressure. If that DHL were flying that close underneath the heavy, it would be directly in the wake of it and that basically means that it has the possibility of ripping a piece of that plane apart....wake vorticies are not cool and have been known to cause a few crashes..... So, I'm a little freaked out by this dream, not gonna lie. Basically, I was at my house in pennsylvania (I guess home from break) and we were all outside with my family and we happen to look up and see skydivers. So we all gather together and watch and I, of course, start talking about what they're doing. (we could see the skydivers like free flying and stuff) So we're watching and they go to pull and there were 3 total. 2 of them open, one of them ends up with a pilot chute in tow and goes to his reserve and then that malfunctions and all of a sudden hes in a really fast spin that he can't stop. The other two guys are trying to get to him but cant. They're getting closer to my house as we watch and then all of a sudden they are right over us and the guy spinning lands in the yard face down. The other two guys swoop the street and come running over. I go sprinting over to help him and he turns over and is ok, but broke his arm. We start to help him and call 911, but thats when my alarm went off and I woke up breathing hard and sweaty. Yeah it scared the shit out of me....just seemed randome to have this kind of dream, especially since I havent jumped in almost 4 months.... I just thought I'd share....not reading into it all, but it still scared the crap out of me because it was so real... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

My longest trip was 2 years ago. Me and 20 of my fraternity brothers in 2 minivans drove from michigan to kansas city to pick up another guy and then onward to Pasadena California to see Michigan in the Rose Bowl against USC. I used to work at Cedar Point and we would ride it in the mornings. We were on it when it would rollback, its really awesome! You just get back in position and get ready to do it again....its definately fun. IF you ever want to be on a rollback, be on the first train out after it rains, 9/10 the train won't make it the first time and you'll rollback....i guarantee it. Wow, first, thanks to EVERYONE who's offered some kind of suggestions for helping me. Yes I have contacted Eloy and they said I could do my checkout there for a price of $150. I would be able to jump there, but they said I can't rent from Square-2 without a license, but I could rent the student gear. So i guess thats a plus.....kind of? I definately would like to just be off student status before then, but thats definately an option of just sacking up and finishing out there. To those who have offered suggestions, I am also looking into those too! Thanks everyone for the encouragement though also!!
