  6. What's scary about this is that when you think about it, it means they've created explosives in a purely liquid state - one that you could put in a coffee cup. Otherwise, I doubt they'd be too worried about us bringing our bottle of Pert Plus onto the airplane. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 8. From Continental's site. Good lord - the prospect of six, eight, or more hours without my laptop or something else to amuse the ADD in me actually gives me chills... _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  10. All: Headed out to Eloy tomorrow... should I just say screw it and FedEx my rig? This sucks. Stupid terrorists. Person in England interviewed by AP said it best - "Eight Hours without my iPod? The terrorists really HAVE won." So I'm guessing it's not even worth it to try and carry it on, huh? And no way I'm checking it... That leaves FedEx? There goes my plans for jumping when I arrive tomorrow. :-( _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  12. Friend of mine (6-foot Blonde bombshell of a woman) was stopped doing 110 in Richmond, VA. Officer: Know how fast you were going? Friend: I don't, officer, but I'm guessing too fast? Officer: You were going 110 miles per hour when I stopped you. (2am, btw, red sports car, NY plates.) Friend: Was I? Officer: Ma'am, no one blows through Richmond that fast. Friend (without missing a beat): Well, Grant did. Friend spent the night in jail. But worth it, she says.
  13. I'd fly out and get you a TON of press. If you wanted it. If not, I'd just fly out to be a part of it. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  14. Thanks for the replies, as always! I do loosen my chest strap a lot, that always helps in the way it flies. Will try bringing the slider behind my head, that's a new one. Will be interesting to see. Thanks! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  15. Accuate statement or not? Been playing up high to see what it would do. My general answer that I've found up there when pulling the left or right front riser all the way down for a "carving" (for lack of a better word) turn is "not much." A woman with many more jumps than me (many, many more) said, "yeah, don't even bother with a canopy that big." I'm just under 1 to 1, having lost a few more pounds. So is that accurate? It's not even worth it to try? My Alti tells me I don't lose anywhere near anything that would qualify as a "carve" of a turn. Bummer. Thoughts? -Peter, avoiding finishing a client press release by surfing DZ. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  16. One time I thought I was living in a Tee-pee. Then I thought I was living in a Wig-wam. Then I thought I WAS a tee-pee, then I thought I WAS a wig-wam. Doctor told me I was just two tents. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
