I get it your liberal mind can't grasp anything but cops bad...guns bad...fear every cop contact as they are all mad lunatics ready to shoot every person who steps out of line. Funny that last part has been said by you many times. Others however can be subjective and see different sides to each incident and take into account the variables and human aspects to what was going on. In your mind every shooting was a cop putting a paper bag over someone's head and point blank executing them. Something to do with your mindset is all. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. I am not missing the point sure shit can happen, Murphy's law. I was correct. You can't bring yourself to acknowledge that one of the two situations has extenuating circumstances where it would be viewed differently than the first even if they are both human errors in judgement. Both of you can't admit that The situations are different where: -A cop shoots someone over mis-identification in a case of a scratched vehicle. And one where someone is shot over mis-identification while -in a multi-agency -multi-state -multi-murder -manhunt for an ex-military ex-cop Who already killed one cop and stated "I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty. I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I'm terminating yours." http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/07/us/lapd-attacks/ I shared my story his argument was the latter. He brought it up not me. You both lost on that one. I have a feeling you both know it but are too proud to admit. Back to the OP topic. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Bammp! Context from my arguement. Someone gets shot over a case of a scratched vehicle Context from your arguement Someone gets shot in a multi state manhunt for a guy who murdered multiple people and vowed to continue on a murder spree. If you can't see the difference in the two atmospheres that lead to the second shooting it says a lot about yourself and your openness to discussion. back to the original topic now. Yes and his argument comparing someone getting shot at because of mis-identity in a vehicle scratch case v.s. mistaken identity in a multi-murder-multi state manhunt case is the same right. Look I get the fact that cops should not shoot until the last resort to save a life or their own after exhausting all other options including not putting yourself in a corner to begin with. As long as others acknowledge the fact that; Cops are human Humans occasionally make mistakes You cant realistically change either of the above. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Ahh yea your talking about the three unfortunate non fatal injuries cops did in fact do while they were on a manhunt for a guy who killed 4 and injured 3 others including a cops daughter. Yeah that is a totally different context than me getting shot after being misidentified as the persons who scratched a vehicle..... That's why you did not mention it in the first place. Let me break it down for you. A womans car gets the shit scratched out of it at a walmart parkinglot after an altercation she gets the vehicle description and plate and calls it in telling them what happened and that the vehicle drove away. I am driving around and get pulled over out of the blue into said parkinglot. He pulls me over and immediately reads me my rights and starts questioning me. He states that I was the one who did this because of the plates and vehicle match the witness description. He then issues me a misdemeanor summons and has me put my thumb print on the paper. The whole time I continue to tell him it was not me. His supervisor pulls up and starts asking questions and finally figures out the name on the plates does not match my name.... Come to find out some guy in another parish(for reasons I was never told) had switched the plates on my and his vehicle, and after reviewing the walmart footage it clearly shows it was him and not me, and they sent the LPSO to go over to his house and figure out what was going on. So I was detained, and charged for a crime that I did not even commit because the deputy that pulled me over wasnt professional enough to look at the name on the plate, registration, and insurance and realize that it was not the same person OR VIN number. Before they tore the summons up the supervisor dismissed the deputy from the scene and apologized about the confusion. I can assure you he was having a bad day after that. I did not personally know anyone of them so I wasn't getting any preferential treatment. I patiently await the next strawman of me being white is why this went down the way it did, or some other ignorant excuse. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Bammmp. I have been pulled over and had my rights read to me over fitting another vehicle description. He pulled me over infront of my towns largest restataunt on a Sunday while basically everyone who is anyone was eating to see. I did what he said, and when it was all well and done I went on my way because I wasn't drinking, did not have a suspended license or try to drive away. Funny how that works isn't it. You leave out the enormous fees charged to hunters which go directly back to making sure the hunting grounds remain with animals for further hunts. It is in the best interests of the people to make SURE that they dont over hunt the areas or their gold mine will dry up. The millions spent in the hunt areas are funneled back into conservation and promoting breeding and healthy stock. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Cincinnati cop faces murder charge in driver's killing
Anvilbrother replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
Not if there was no reason to believe he was a kidnapper. Just in case though, you'd better shoot the next few people you see driving and check their trunks. Better safe than sorry. Yea right the headline would read "officer under investigation for failing to thoroughly investigate a traffic stop that lead to the death of XXX" Ever heard of cops letting people go for a DUI then have them end up killing someone in a crash? How did the public treat them for that mistake? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along, -
How many other more serious and important things have gone on this week that did not get a peep of media or people's thoughts while they were focusing and crying about this stupid dentist. ooh one thing CISPA is back with a new name. I wish people would get half as fired up about that as this lion. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

I don't wish our governemnt to go around charging people for little bs things. I know I have been impacted twice by the government for little petty licensing hassles that were life altering encounters over stupid bureaucracy. But if you act like a little bitch and cause some company to give up probably tens of thousands of dollars because you don't like their legal enterprise you probably deserve a little touch of the cost too. Cincinnati cop faces murder charge in driver's killing

Where did I say he was being dragged? I was making a point about some departments policies, and state laws allow what happened here to be justified. I never said he did, or they do, only that it isn't out of the realm of possibilities that somewhere this would be legal, and has been deemed legal many times before by LAW. If there had been a female duct taped in the trunk and the cop let him run and get away it would be a completely oposite dialog coming from some here. Also some departments are allowed lethal force towards a moving vehicle if they or another's life is in danger. As for being in danger it's the cops job to apprehend and stop criminals and criminal activities. Driving away and disobeying a cop is a criminal activity. A cop getting hung up in a door and having the driver not respond to commands of that vehicle could meet those use of force rules. Doubt the department had that rule as it is getting rarer, but people need to know pulling a weapon on someone who is fleeing or dragging a cop isn't out of the ordinary and justified in many places by LAW cops don't make law. I am wondering why they were not charged with something. Obstruction of a highway of commerce seems like a good charge to start with. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
