The elastic has worn out and broken and now the fabric covering the elastic is stretched and breaking. I have already tied it twice. It is now to the point where the draw string lock thing wont hold draw string in place. I'm forced to tie it in a knot after putting helmet on. The problem is the elastic is too worn out to do that the entire draw string needs to be replaced. To replace it the stitching of the neck liner needs to be pulled and opened up. At the front of the neck the draw string is stitched in place so running a wire through and pulling a new elastic band through wont work. The only way is to remove the stitchings and opening up the neck liner. I don't have the ability to resow the liner once I have replaced the bad. I just don't want to remove the neck liners stitchings if I can't sow it back together. I don't think my rigger can sow it on a machine unless the liner is removed from the helmet. Which would require hot gluing and I haven't had a problem with the liner pulling apart yet unlike a lot of others who have. Back to my question has anyone had to replace there elastic draw band and if so how did they do it. CSA #699 Muff #3804

My draw string on my Z1 is just about to break on me again and it needs replacing. Does anyone know how I could do it myself or would it be best to send it back to Para-sport and let them do it. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Here is an email address crwdogs@boxofclue.com it is a group mailing list of CRW dogs all over the US. I'm sure there are a few on the list who will be there and can help you with what ever information you need. Safe Docks, Scott CSA #699 Muff #3804

Only well enough that you could find a picture to make anyone laugh. Knowing you it would have been a baby chimp with a big Cheech & Chong joint and a bottle of old english. CSA #699 Muff #3804

These aren't of any storm but are some great photos of clouds non the less. Personally I think some of them look more computer generated than actual photos. http://www.hprcc.unl.edu/nebraska/june2004hastings-mammatus.html CSA #699 Muff #3804

From what I have learned in my short time doing CRW a weekend CRW jump or two you can use any mix of the CRW specific canopies. Different types of canopies fly differently, for example, a Lightning has a steeper glide verses the flatter flying Triathalon and Eagle. So, mixing the different types of canopies for fun jumps is just that fun but a bit more work. You say your interested in forming a team I suggest you both get the same type of canopy. I have a lightning myself as it seams to be what most CRW dogs are using these days. The wing loading is important as well so you both want to get canopies that will give you the same or close to the same wing loading. I know PD will make custom sized Lightning upon request. I can't help you on specifics with sequential as I'm limited to having only done rotations and interested in Big way formations. CSA #699 Muff #3804

We pay $22 to about 11K to 11.5K. We have a C206 that usually crawls to altitude and a Twin Bonanza if we can get enough jumper who want to pay the high prices. CSA #699 Muff #3804

If you had bigger boobs you would have been the perfect Byotch on our exit yesterday. Its always a laugh when you rear float a free launch exit and you decide to turn it into a rodeo without telling the other three on the dive. What was it you said on the ground again? CSA #699 Muff #3804

I actually had a wrap on my last CRW jump. SORRY, no video. I was on my hornet 170 and he was on a velocity 103. He sat on the left side of my canopy and coLlapsed it then decided to get an ankle wrapPed around an A-line. After clearing he ended up with a line over and was forced to chop when it started to spin. I thought it was it was one hell of an adrenaline rush. GODDA LOVE THE DARK SIDE

I'm jealous you did a downplane on your first CRW jump. I have 15 most of which was 3-way rotation and still have not done a downplane. In time I will when the moment is right. Welcome to the dark side. CSA #699 Muff #3804

I'll be in the Tacoma, WA area next weekend Fri 9 Sept.- Sun 11 Sept. and looking for a little CRW coaching. I will probably be jumping at Kapowsin on those days. Background info- 12 Lightning jumps & 3 non-CRW canopy jumps = 15 total 10 jumps of which were 3-way rotation Have only made 1 CRW non-CRW canopy jump in last 3 months. I have my own Lightning 160 now

As you requested Mar I'm whoreing your post just for you. The calendars are great I have already received my two and believe me if you haven't seen them Mary did a great job of putting the calendar together. As I told Mary after getting mine she did a great job of selecting the DICK tease pictures. The women are beautiful and its for a good cause she is supporting. The photographers are some lucky guys and gal. Being a cancer survivor myself it's a trerrible disease that needs all our support to help find a cure. If given the choice to buy a jump ticket or calendar to save a BOOBIE I'll save a boob. Plus the woman are HOT HOT HOT. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Anyone have an idea when the new IQD (Iraqi Dinar) will hit the world market. I'm thinking sometime next year after the new constitution takes effect and they become totally self governing without US and UN input. Just wondering as I have invested in some while I was there. As for the new and revised version its not all that bad. It sure sounds like we helped to cross the T's and dot the I's. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Very nice pics. Now if you melt the images and it would look like something Salvador Dali would do. I like surrealism and Dali is one of my favorite even though he is a goofy looking Bastard. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Not sure how cold it really gets there in TX but here in WA we jump with snow on the ground. Just wear some longjohns and gloves if it gets that cold. Here it usually is around 0 F at altitude and I wear my thermals along with other worm clothes. It helps to put hand warmers under your gloves on the back of your hands to help keep them worm. Oh, a full face helmets makes the wind chill a bit more bearable. If you really want to start your training do it now don't let a little cold weather stop you. CSA #699 Muff #3804

whats the average and highest exit altitude you get AGL?
homer replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My home DZ anywhere from 10.2K to 11.5K AGL depending on how hot it is and how many people are on the load (C206). The highest AGL I've been would be 15K and that was a 13 way linked to a Tandem. The highest I've ever been would be 17.5k ASL or 14K AGL and that was the sunset X-country load at Lost Prairie this year (C207). Edit to add- We pay $22 a jump thats supposed to go to 11K so when we only get 10.2K it sucks. What are you paying? CSA #699 Muff #3804 -
What can we do about Skyride?
homer replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Adding to what you have said Ben & Cary have also been banned for life from USPA for unethical practices and some other stuff. There is an investigation going and all Skyride supporting DZ's that are USPA group members will be having some problems when USPA gets a hold of them. CSA #699 Muff #3804 -

Another friend dead. Can someone help me to understand it.
homer replied to homer's topic in The Bonfire
I have heard this statement before from others and NO, I never have blamed myself for any of there deaths because I have done nothing to drive them to do what they did. Depression is a dark lonely hole, I agree with you. I battle it myself and even more so since returning from Iraq. I'm here today by the graces of GOD because I believe things happen for a reason and he has a plan for me, however I still try to deal with my survivors guilt. I talk about my issues with others and when there is nobody to talk to I use alcohol or (self medication) as I like to refer to it. I have learned from my short time in this sport that there are many wonderful people who in a time of need you can always turn to. Whether it be a local DZ jumper or someone you have never met willing to lend a helping hand or ear. I know this from the most thoughtful PM's I have received the last couple of days from jumpers who just wanted to listen. I thank you all for your kind words. CSA #699 Muff #3804
