  4. I see your point. I've been reading "intent to assault" as menacing behavior. IMO, menacing behavior extends beyond verbal threats. It becomes a judgment call. We are all engines of karma
  5. Let's make a distinction between assault and battery. Uttering verbal threats is defined as assault in New York state. Physically striking someone is battery. We are all engines of karma
  6. v. men·aced, men·ac·ing, men·ac·es v.tr. 1. To utter threats against. 2. To constitute a threat to; endanger. Clearly, it's a judgment call on the part of the individual. We are all engines of karma
  7. Here's an article from SHEIKH ALI GOMAA, Grand Mufti of Egypt. from the WSJ today. It's an interesting read. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703298004574457452301729982.html Couldn't agree more. I think he could be a little clearer here as to the source of this violence. I'm guessing he's defining Palestine in such a way that it also covers Israel. Has Palestine, Iraq or Afghanistan every given their people full sovereignty and independence? Has any Muslim-theocratic country ever done so? Comments, thoughts from anyone else here? 8. We'll have to agree to disagree on this point. I sure you're familiar with the phrase "civil society". We are all engines of karma
  9. Assault does not mean you've already been physically attacked. I think that's the point some are making here. In New York state, assault is defined as any verbal statement that threatens another person. We are all engines of karma
  10. Everyone I personally know who knows about carrying says weapons retention is a really big deal. If you already have someone on top of you, it's a little late to be pulling your gun out. We are all engines of karma
  11. That seems to be the question here that hasn't been answered. I haven't seen the study, but that's the impression I'm getting. Sounds to me like a bunch of guys in the 'hood were the basis for the study. We are all engines of karma
  12. My understanding is the Pentagon has requested money to modify B2s to accept this bomb. We are all engines of karma
  13. Or, at least some place where people actually know how a gun works. We are all engines of karma

  16. How Israel Was Disarmed http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703298004574454782341597654.html I find this shocking. Nothing good is going to come out of this. Obama is proving to be a truly dangerous person. We are all engines of karma
  17. I disagree. Obama is a community organizer from Chicago. We are all engines of karma
  18. Dude, how did you reach that conclusion? Have you been drinking? We are all engines of karma
  19. Our President should be a strong person. Whom above all else, is dedicated to our Constitution. And, our country's values, not his personal values. Obama continues to be a disaster. The whole world is making a mockery of him. And, he wants to casually increase our national debt by $9T. We are all engines of karma
  20. You have that little confidence in warpedskydiver's considered opinion? We are all engines of karma
