The nice heli I have is a walkera creata 400....I have a double horse 3 volitation 3 channel I've been using to learn on...I finally got the setup right and have been hovering for several minutes at a time in my garage...just taking it slow. I currently have a simulator but it's a total piece of crap. I have been wanting an RC heli for a while and just got around to getting one...(well actually two) I bought a cheap 3 channel to learn on and I have a very nice 6 channel for when I get better and am ready to move up. But it's like owning a wingsuit and you dont have enough jumps...nice to look at but you know youd screw something up if you flew it. So does anyone else fly RC aircraft on this forum?

I agree with you bro completely...but I'm in the same boat as you...not getting impatient...enjoying the ride...but waiting on baited breath until I finally get to jump a wingsuit...but it'll still be there when I'm ready and I'd rather be ready and enjoy it more than to be not ready and to be fighting for my life. A jealous schoolteacher who doctored the parachute of a love rival causing her to plunge to her death was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday. In sentencing Els Clottemans, 26, the judge said the only mitigating circumstance in the 2006 skydive murder was her feeble psychological condition. Clottemans attempted suicide in 2008. She was sentenced a day after she was found guilty of murdering Els Van Doren by sabotaging her parachute so neither it nor a safety chute would open during a Nov. 18, 2006, jump. A jury at a courthouse in the East Belgian town of Tongeren agreed with the prosecution that jealousy motivated Clottemans. She and Van Doren were members of the same parachute club. The killer and her victim were intimately involved with the same a man, a Dutch skydiver, whom Clottemans wanted for herself. The jury said Clottemans acted with premeditation and that, as an accomplished jumper, she knew very well how to disable a parachute. Evidence at the trial showed she sent anonymous letters about Van Doren's love life to mutual friends and that she was psychologically unstable. Clottemans faced a maximum penalty of life in prison. Her trial opened Sept. 24 with the accused sitting nervously near the mud-caked parachute bag and helmet that Van Doren wore on the day she died. The jury saw video footage from a camera mounted on her helmet, that Van Doren had shot during what would be her last jump. She and Clottemans were among the last four jumpers to leave the Cessna plane. The video showed how the victim looked up, yanking at her gear, hoping to see an open canopy above her. Neither parachute opened and she crashed into a garden in the East Belgian town of Opglabbeek and died instantly. Theres going to be a basic canopy course at spaceland in the upcoming months. I will definately plan on being there...In my opinion you can't get enough information about how to safely fly your canopy and land it.

Well on my 50th skydive I was coming in on final and was planning on having my feet skid across the top of the grass and then run out my the rest of my landing like I did on jump #49. Well my left foot hit a small hill or divot...it got tucked under hard and after rolling over once to twice I came to rest and when I stood up I felt like I had pulled a muscle in my left leg. I was able to walk fine...just couldnt go as fast as normal because when I put all the weight on my left leg I had to shorten my stride a bit. So my question is what's the best way to guage the no wind landing...for me I usually look up and down several times to see if I am close to the level of the treeline and start my flair once I am equal to the treeline. I'm not saying this is right or wrong...I just want to know from more experienced people how they judge their flair's on no-wind days. Thanks in advance Paul

well I've had plenty of jobs I hated...luckily I have a job I love now. Best thing to do is prioritize and determine if its the best thing for you...then keep your cool and do a job search in your spare time and take PTO for job interviews to find a gig you like.
