  1. Man, I didn't know bear died! Sorry to hear it bro. Look on the bright side... if there's a doggy heaven, he'll have all the ice cubes he could ever dream of. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  2. Someone mentioned boobies and spankings... I'm in. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  3. And us walking down the street and being shot at is relative to that how? A large majority of the innocents in question are shooting at us in the streets, not their homes. This is long after the initial invasion and we're still being shot at by what shropshire is referring to as "innocents." Pay no mind to the fact that many of those citizens of Iraq that you think despised us cheered us with our removal of a dictator that was willing to kill off thousands of his own countrymen and women. Ignore the fact that those same "innocents" shoot at their own Iraqi military forces. The same forces we trained to assist them in getting them more skilled and able to maintain their own country. I just entered a job field that's sole purpose is to protect life and property, not destroy it. However, we're among the most targeted out there. More info on what I do here... C L I C K Y And the USAs business in Iraq IS? We the fuckin world police? MYOB comes to mind. Something my mother taught me many moons ago. Guard the UDSAs borders if you need something to defend. Actually, in a way, yes, and it started with Theodore Roosevelt. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. 8. I must say... Outstanding job in turning sarcasm into an ignorant comment by taking it out of context. And you're a moderator??? Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  9. banned for being a bible thumping warmonger in the SC? Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  10. If you're interested in learning more about this, go to YouTube and key in a search for "string theory nova." The results will give you a PBS documentary about string theory and M theory...really fascinating stuff. I'll check it out.
  11. This is hilarious. You somehow don't realize that the same exact challenge can be made about the god you believe in, and when atheists/agnostics make that challenge, believers dismiss it. Now you're using it?! Why can you sit back and say that God has always existed, but we can't claim equally that there's no God, and there was no necessity for one to create the universe because the universe has always existed? I didn't say you couldn't. What I'm knocking is that you're so definitively positive that there is no way there is a God. I'm not telling you to change your views. You believe what you want, just as I do. My intent with the original post was to see if there have been any theories that have come about as to how things began. Last input I'd gotten on theories was in high school. You stated that science proves nothing. Ignorance by definition. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. 12. There's an old saying "there are no atheists in Foxholes" Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  13. Is that the one where all the world's problems are solved by the Care-Bear® tummy-beams of ChangeHope? Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  14. Except that we went to war alongside their government and never had any combat with their military because our target was Al Qaeda, not Afghanistan. 15. Because we all know Germany was ultimately behind the attack on Pearl Harbor. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  16. Yeah. Just like Iran and Al Quieda will. Haven't you been listening to Obama's plan? You righties are all the same. Riiiight... because he's got a good head on his shoulders. 17. I really dont get why people struggle to accept that How is it you can believe matter is and has always been, but it's so hard to believe a higher power exists and always has? Empirical evidence, and scientific observation, not all things are explained YET by science but that in noway means that they wont be at some time in the Future. I have no time for a "GOD OF THE GAPS" theory But if you're wrong, you could have an eternity to go, "oops..." Edit to add: Then again, if you're right, I'll never know and won't be able to say, "oh well." But you've got nothing to worry about. That brings up another good question... How many people believe in some kind of God "just in case." Probably quite a few, because they don't want to be someone that says, "there's no God," and then die and go, "ahhh, shit!" Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  18. Right, because if we'd gone up to Saddam and said you should be nice to people, he'd have turned around and said, "Oh, very well. I guess you're right." And I suppose Hitler could've been reasoned with as well. Japan attacked us and we did it on our own because we had the physical strength to manage on our own. Fine and dandy when that strength exists. Germany never attacked us, but we helped out in Europe. Europe needed our help and we aided them. We didn't do it all by ourselves, but it's doubtful that Hitler would've lost without our input. But hey, next time, we'll just let 'em go at it, because, hey, it's not our fight. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

  20. So relating back to your scenario, if your neighbor's wife was being abused and there were no cops in the area, you should say screw it and let her continue to be abused because there aren't any designated authorities to resolve the situation. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  21. So then at what point is it justified to become involved? In that situation, there are police to relsove the situation... by force if needed. So who's job is it to resolve things, by force if needed? Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  22. You are ignoring the fact matter can be converted into energy. Ok, we'll add energy to the list. It, as well, is not created or destroyed, it is transferred. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  23. You call it child foolishness, but say it's a good question to ask where it all comes from. I don't understand. Do you believe in some sort of higher power that created things, but don't believe in the organized religions? Is it that you don't believe in anything other than what science has proven and shown you? Or, are you saying you don't really care and have nothing to add to this thread other than breaking down organized religion to caveman stories? Please elaborate. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  24. When we are attacked is outside of my inquiry. Are you saying that as long as we are not attacked in any way, the rest of the world could go into nuclear war and you wouldn't care because it doesn't involve you? Are you saying that governments could annihilate their own people to maintain power, political views, or financial wellbeing? Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
  25. Of the many people in this world, those that believe in a higher power feel this world was created. Others have the big bang theory, as well as many more thoughts and theories. Regardless of your faith or belief, you probably have some idea as to how it all began. Science has proven long ago that matter cannot be created, nor destroyed. It can be broken apart into the smallest pieces of matter: protons, neutrons and electrons, but it never goes away. Where do you feel it all came from? Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
