Does anyone know if a normal hardware store would carry the screws that hold the battery cover on the ProTrack? Mine look like they are almost stripped out so I was going to replace them when I change the battery next time, but didn't know if I needed to order them from the dealer or if I could get them at a hardware store. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Ward from Mirage has decided to kick in two certificates that we will be giving away to people who donate. This will be done by a drawing, not a raffle but a drawing. Ward has donated one coupon for 35% off a Mirage container with 15% off the options. He's also donated a 2nd certificate for 40% off a Mirage container with 15% off the options. Thanks Ward. Trunk at GetHypoxic.com

What great customer service!! My HyPeye was having some issues where the blue light would be on, but then when I would start recording the light would stay blue. If I jiggled the LED a little it would then switch to the correct color. The opposite would happen when I would stop recording. I thought, oh well time to buy a new one. I call up Trunk and order one. I then tell him about the problem with my current HyPeye (it's about 8 months old). He then said send it back in and it'll be covered under warranty. He even did one better and said he'd mail me a new one today and that I could send in the old one when i received the new one. That way I'll have a working HyPeye by this weekend. It's a great product backed by great customer service. Thanks Trunk. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. This is being posted here with permission from Sangiro. Hi everyone I'm taking part in a charity event to raise awareness and funds for sexual and domestic violence. If you'd be interested in donating that'd be great. I've attached an article that was written for the event. In short though you can go to here for more information. Thanks a lot everyone. DROP ABUSE: Skydivers Get a Jump on Domestic Violence Skydive Kansas and the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence have teamed up together to promote an event to be held on June 14, 2007 at Skydive Kansas. Each day 53 acts of sexual or domestic violence are committed against women and children in Kansas alone. This is roughly one incident every 27 minutes. This statistic only deals with reported incidents, and as many occurrences go unreported, the actual number is much higher. In an effort to bring awareness to these tragic events Skydive Kansas’ Jeremy Struemph will be doing 53 jumps in a day, one for each reported incident. Through this event Skydive Kansas is hoping to raise money and/or supplies for the Kansas Coalition to help them in their work. The mission of the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, KCSDV, is as follows: The Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (KCSDV) is a network of programs reaching across the state, helping us unify on a state level and to end battering and sexual assault wherever it occurs. Our primary focus is on providing support and safety to the victims of these crimes through the direct services of our member programs. The major work of the Coalition is to support this network of services by increasing public awareness through education and advocacy, exploring new options for services and funding, and by working for social change. “It seems to me that the majority of time when we see skydiving in the news it’s when something bad has happened. This is an opportunity for us as a community (skydivers) to be shown in a positive light. We are overall a giving and caring group of people and this event allows us to showcase that. We’ve been fortunate enough to have television, radio, and newspapers in Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City inquire about the jumps and are planning on covering the event. This is a win-win situation for everyone. “The support for this event so far has been tremendous. Cory, Stump, and Dave offered their assistance at Skydive Radio. Sangiro offered his assistance in spreading the word at www.dropzone.com. Local skydivers have offered their rigs for free as well as offered to pack. The pilots are donating their time. Jen Sharp, DZO of Skydive Kansas, has donated use of her plane. The fuel is being contributed by Jen Sharp, Nick Bennett and Eric Kerns. Jay Stokes has also been very helpful with the logistics. I’m just really impressed with the showing of support for this charity. It’s nice to know that people are willing to pull together for good things.” Jeremy Struemph There are several ways you can contribute to this event and all of them are appreciated. If you’d like to donate funds there are two ways: 1. You can fill out a pledge form located here and mail it in. 2. You can also hop online and make an online donation here Any amount ($1-$1000) is greatly appreciated. Every little bit counts. However if giving money isn’t really something you like to do, we are accepting items for the group as well. These range from diapers to trash bags. For a full list please visit the “How Can I Help” section located at www.skydivekansas.com/dropabuse or print out our list at http://skydivekansas.com/dropabuse/list.html Also feel free to drop off items at Skydive Kansas’ hangar in Osage City up through the day of the event. We will deliver them on your behalf You can also listen to Skydive Radio’s show #84 for an interview with Jeremy about the event. At the conclusion of the event we’ll be having a drawing for those who donated, if you donated $1 or $100 you’ll be entered in the drawing. We’re contacting sponsors to get more items. So far Art from Skydive Store is kicking in as well as Ward from

"We will be kicking off the boogie Friday, June 8th in the afternoon around 3pm. - Jumping Saturday will start at 800am - registration fee will be $15 dollars (remember, this goes towards a good cause!!) - Registration includes dinner Friday and all meals Saturday (Sunday we eat leftovers) - All booze is BYOB, so bring lots! (not tequila, Justin will bring more then enough) - Extra plane (widebody 182) will show up around 1030 on Saturday and stay until Sunday night. - T-Shirts will be sold for $10 dollars (also put towards the scholarship) - You can camp for free, as always... and if you're sneaky may even be able to steal a couch in the hanger. (sleeping on water bottles is allowed, but looked down upon) - Jimmy the legend will be there, doing a little bit of freefly organizing (when requested) - Students may only jump on Saturday if they are on 45s delays and can pack for themselves. Any student can jump on Friday and Sunday." "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. IAF is Instructor Assisted Freefall. It's a different progression scheme then straight AFF. I did it and enjoyed it. We do three tandems and then start student jumps with one AFF instructor instead of two. There is a ground school in between the tandems prior to the first solo. I liked it a lot and we did a lot of work under canopy while on the tandem jumps. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Drive it until it breaks I say. My Nissan Sentra (92) purchased new, had over 280K miles on it (that's when the odometer stopped). I drove it for several more months. I had to replace the fuel pump once, ok my dad did I watched, and the alternator once. If it weren't for a flood the car would still be running today. My current car Toyota Camry (2000) purchased new has over 170K miles on it, no problems. I do regular oil changes and don't drive it like a bat out of hell, that's what the motos for. Sorry to hear about your father. When did he pass again? In one thread you said 2006, in another thread you said 10 years ago and then in another thread you said 11 years ago. Sorry if I come off as a little skeptical, but just wondering. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Jack are you talking about the Hillbilly Boogie? I'm trying to see if I can make it down and if I do I'll bring my wingsuit. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Actually if you look at specifications sheet it has CD write speeds as well as DVD write speed. The sony guy when i called the company also confirmed that it did write on either CD or DVD. I may reconsider my previous choice and pick this one up. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Well I need to go buy a burner today for this weekend. I've done some reading but it's hard to get a real feel. The Aleratec I can get local for $199. The Micro Solutions I can get local for $299 The old model PnP is an order at $129 + shipping The new model PnP in an order at $226 + shipping I'd prefer to buy local but if the Aleratec of Micro Solutions aren't good products then I'll order online. Thanks for any help. Edited to add: This is to dump pictures from my CF card to a CD without a computer. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The game she is referring to is Guitar Hero. It's like crack. I started playing and it's a lot of fun. It's even more fun to play against friends especially after a few drinks. I can spend hours on it. It's easy to pick up and has a lot of different levels as well as difficulty. I have no prior guitar knowledge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVUgd8ot6BE "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Well true it does state: Equally sad is the fact that some unscrupulously thirsty jumpers will shamelessly try to "weasel" a case of beer out of a jumper for an inauspicious event. However it also states: This list is not to be construed as exhaustive. So I think that's beer Nice video by the way. Is that Ben Harper on the 1st song, I can't quite get it. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Since you said the magic word that'd be beer. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

What is your definition for a ton of money? My first road bike was right at $1000 which is really cheap compared to what some of my friends were riding at the time $3000-$5000 bikes. Is it going to be purely a road bike or are you planning on taking it on a few light trails or are you wanting something that can go on heavy rocky trails. The biggest thing (IMHO) is getting good components (shifters, cranks, and derailers). Shimano are hard to beat Shimano 105s are a good component. They are about mid-level in the Shimano hierarchy, but if you go lower (Tiagra) than that you really can notice the difference. If you go higher in the hierarchy (Dura-Ace) you are mainly paying a lot of money to cut off weight and see minimal performance enhancements. Has anyone purchased from them? I'm having a heck of a time finding an EZPnP. I've located one on amazon.com that's sold from Ace Digital Club. Does anyone have any good/bad news about this group? If someone can suggest another place for me to go by all means throw it out. B&H didn't have them at least from what I could find. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Nope Billy. Here's another one from the movie. "You guys think you're so fucking cool, it makes me sick! "Let's go make fun of the vegans and their crazy lifestyle!" We're not hurting anyone! Go eat a hamburger and choke on a cow dick!" And no this isn't from a porn movie either. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Backflying with tandems (Was Rocky Point injury)
WatchYourStep replied to davepend's topic in Safety and Training
Again guys if you have that much of an issue with it (and rightfully so) call the DZ and ask the DZO. If the DZO allows it, start leaving comments about it on the rating tool on dz.com. Norm Kent could get on here and PJ would say he was right and Norm was wrong and old. It's not hard to figure out where his videos are shot at least the one in question. If you don't know just ask. Either way be safe PJ. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out." -

If people are really concerned about it then call his home DZ up and ask why they allow it. Edited to add: Based off his videos it isn't hard to figure out where he did the tandem videos he shot. Thanks. That makes sense. So where did you get your burner at? Thanks for helping a newb out.
