How in the heck do you get a concussion in rowing? I've only been in the sport for 10 years. I've seen a lot of things but never a concussion. Either way do what you want to do. My thought though is you can always skydive but the the amount of time you'll physically be able to be a competitive rower is fairly small. Bitch, bitch, whine, whine. I don't feel bad for you at all after you got 30+ jumps while you visited Obviously just kidding, that blows or sucks depending on how you look at it and what you are into. WatchYourStep replied to Unstable's topic in General Skydiving Discussions

I'm going to be taking a trip this summer for about a month. I'm either going to do the backpacking thing for a month in Europe. Staying in hostels mainly and yes I've seen the movie I may go to Australia (could I find stuff to do for a month?) If you pick other please make your suggestions. I don't think I can swing both because I believe airfare would be fairly high. Thanks Edited to add: I've only been to Jamaica and Canada so I don't care which place I visit really. I'll ask there. Thanks. How do I do a capture screen on a Mac? I'll post a picture of what I'm seeing. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out." -

Sorry for the delay. Still not working. I've retyped the issue maybe I didn't make full sense. This is iMovie8 by the way. The first time I imported several clips with no problem. I sliced and edited everything accordingly. Then I shut down iMovie when I opened it back up all the clips where still there but instead of seeing the pictures in each clip they were just gray. After clicking on a few of them iMovie shut down. I'd start it again and it would shut down again. I deleted all the clips imported them again and bam same thing happened. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks a lot. PS: I'm running an iMac with a 2.8 Ghz and 2gig of ram. New Mac owner here so I'm still learning. I can get my video onto the computer, no problem. But when it shows up in iMovie instead of seeing images of all segments after a while some of them will go grey. I'll start to play the video and then iMovie totally shuts down. Any suggestions/ideas? I have a new Mac: 2.8 GhZ 2 gig of Ram 500 gig hard drive Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Have you asked to speak to a supervisor? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

It just depends on what you are looking for I guess. I have an old school iPod, I think 1st or 2nd generation and it's been great. Never had any problems with it. Thing works like a champ and is a total workhorse. I don't use it for anything other than in my car or at work, so I don't ever care about the battery life because it's always plugged in. Good luck. Well got it in the mail today. I followed the directions as far as plugging things in the correct order. Turn on the computer and nothing :( My iPod is charging off the docking station so it's getting juice but the computer doesn't pick it up. Any suggestions? Happy Holidays. Dang!!! Maybe just a day or two then at the DZ. I'm looking at coming over either 5/14-6/14 or 6/1-7/1. I won't know until around March which is when I find out more job information. My neighbor has one. I think it would be awesome to go over unplug it and move it to my yard. I wonder how long I could get away with doing this before they said something. Well... after about 200 jumps on demo canopies I went with a Sabre2 135. It'll allow me a lot of room to grow in and continue working on things that I started on under the 170. Part of the reason also that I went with PD is due to Kim Pothuisje she was a great help. Chris have a good holiday season man... So I thought I'd brag a bit.... - My new computer gets here today. Mac has excellent customer service. It's coming a day earlier than expected. - I woke up this morning after a tough workout yesterday and feel great. - I picked up Flight of the Conchords on DVD! If you haven't seen this show it's funny if you enjoy a certain type of humor. - Also I have a wrestling dual tonight. One of the wrestlers is Atticus Disney he's ranked 5th or 6th in the nation at heavyweight. He's a two time state champ and is going to Minnesota on a full ride. The team he's wrestling against is bumping up their 215lbs (also a defending state champ). It should be an awesome match and I get to officiate it! - I also just purchased a new canopy!!! Hope your day/week is going as well as mine... "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. I may be taking a trip and doing some backpacking in Germany for a month. Since I'll be bouncing from hostel to hostel I'm not going to bring my rig. Do any of the DZs in Germany offer rental gear and how are the prices compared to here in the states for jump tickets? Looking forward to a month of traveling but would still like to spend 3 or 4 days doing nothing but jumping. Can anybody suggest DZs? I'm heading over with no plan other than just traveling so I'm open. Thanks PS: This all pends on a new job I'm applying for. If I get it I'm certainly going, if I don't I'm probably still going to go. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Xbox360: Kansas Crew (don't forget the space) If you add me tell me you are from dz.com or I won't accept the friend invite. I play Halo 3 mainly, but occasionally hop online for some Madden. Your canopy choices and downsize history
WatchYourStep replied to frost's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I've been a slow goer to downsize compared to the norm I think... 0-25: Nav260 and Sabre2 230...I think 25-50: Sabre2 190 WL@.95 50-450: Sabre2 170 & Nitron170 WL@1.05 450-525: Katanna150/Sabre2 150 WL@1.20 550-600: Sabre2 135 @1.33 Jumps 450-600 were all on demo gear. I'm going to order a Sabre2 135 but until then I'm back on my 170. I'll get a demo 150 to jump for a few weeks before I make the plunge back down to the 135. This is in the course of 2 years. I'm in no hurry. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
