The biggest thing for you will be to buy some real running shoes. Take teh advice from the sales people at a running specialized store. It will pay for itself many times over. 5k is 3.12 miles. I have found that running on the street is easier than running on a treadmill. PLus when runing with a group, you will enjoy the people around you and the running part will be easy. GO FOR IT. Phree should go too

I get the feeling many people here do not understand that skydiving is one of the few sports where you can do everything right and still die. Skydiving is NOT safe. If you want to bullshit yourself, family or loved ones, please do, but it is not safe.

My question is, what do people do during something like the WFFC? I am going this year, but still not quite sure what to do with credit cards etc etc while I am jumping. If people have a good idea, but do not want to post it on a public forum. Please pm me.

True, but you may want to keep in mind that not everybody works in an innovation field.... The IT industry is notorious for having people dress in any way they possibly can. The undertaking business for instance, does like people to dress in a certain fashion. Same goes for those in the medical field. IN the same line many people in a business environment will have to adhere to some sort of dress code. Such is life.

I am pretty sure even I would not be able to clear all skydivers out of Rantoul with my naked body. I think we should dirt dive this jump first

It was suggested I do a naked jump for my 100th, but then I didn't want to scare all the people off the dropzone, so I kept my clothes on.

So, I did jump number 100 last weekend and obviously I got pied and thrown in the pond. I figured there would be some people willing to laugh at me, hence I am attaching some of the pictures. pied = me after the deed in pond = me in the pond Chantal & James = two of the culprits waiting to pie me to pond = en route to the swoop pond, ready to swim. laugh away
