    But as justification they used UN resolutions. At least at one point that was the reasoning...it has changed so many times since then.... Actually, turns out they were quite effective and right all along....but that is a whole different discussion... If the UN is so ineffective, why does the US continue to veto anything that reflects poorly on Israel?

    Or if you are on the otehr side of the argument, you assume 100% they are hezbolla and none of them are innocent civilians..... As always, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Though, since the Israelis seem to have an ongoing problem with discerning the difference between a UN observation post and an Hezbolla stronghold, I would have to question their identifying abilities....

Since I would hardly describe dz.com bantering as anything approaching formal, I would say that you are both spewing opinions.... You asked him to back up his opinion with proof or a source. I asked you to back up yours likewise. Fair is fair afterall. Looks like both of you can't really do that. and without proof.....it is an opinion....just look at the definition above. You may now want to buy a dictionary and look up the definition of bullshit....you seem to be misusing it as well....

Geez, quite acting all holier than though and post as if the palistinians are the only ones fighting dirty. If you are so fucking big on personal responsibility, start cleaning up your own military and CIA before you start throwing stones at the Palestinians....

    Ohhhwe are. We are losing fine men there on almost a daily basis, fighting your war. We haven't forgotten who the true culprits of 9/11 were. We haven't forgotten who the true terrorists are. We are fighting them while your men are living out the fantasy of a bloodthirsty president....I feel sorry for them and I feel sorry for those blindly following your president...thinking you are fighting a war on terror....

    Since my tax dollars go into keeping embassies and consular offices going. Since our department of Foreign Affairs is specifically there to help Canadians and Canadian companies abroad, it really isn't such a bizarre idea that the government should help out in some form. I do have an issue when it comes to dual citizens who have chosen to reside in another country though.
