I understood that, but outside of this particular incident, I am still wondering about the answer to my question. Anybody know?

With a body like that....beauty is only a light switch away...

Serious question. Up here in Canada, well Ontario anyways, we have to specifically authorize the Police Service to act on our behalf when asking people to leave our property.

Its just business. Nothing more, nothing less.

Proving something is occuring and proving something doens't occur are too different things.... The latter is quite a bit more difficult. With the prior you only have to establigh it happened once, the latter requires many more data points.

Go Sens Go Hope they can keep up the effort they put in yesterday, but they looked better than I have seen them play in years.....

With all the bragging about kids going on, I just had to post a picture of my 1 year old daughter, who I happen to think is the cutest little girl ever.... But, I may be slightly biased...maybe

The pentagon recently found it had too many generals and offered an early retirement bonus. They promised any general who retired straight away, his full annually benefits PLUS $10,000.00 for every inch measured in a straight line along the retiring general's body between two points he chose. (Something Congress came up with!) The first general accepted. He asked the pension man to measure from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. 6 feet. He walked out with a check of $720,000.00. The second general asked them to measure from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. 8 feet. He walked out with a check for $960,000.00. Meantime, the first general had tipped off the third. When he was asked where to measure, he told the pension man. "From the tip of my penis to the tip of my balls." The pension man said that would be fine but he'd better get the Medical Officer to do the measuring. The Medical Officer attended and asked the general to drop 'em. He did. The Medical Officer placed the tape on the tip of the general's penis and began to work back. "My God!" he said, 'where are your balls?" The general replied, "in Vietnam."

Well, that depends, some people prefer blends over single malts. I happen to like both...a lot I prefer the green label over the black label. It happens to be my "house Scotch", after that we can do a sampling of roughly 65 to 70 other single matls and blends. Bush Mills black label is another favourite of mine, though not a Scotch.

She said...If you ever cheated, i would forgive you...
SkyDekker replied to watchdog2's topic in The Bonfire
Acceptance of the incident. If my girlfriend would decide to drive home drunk after a night of partying. I would forgive her for doing that, would accept the incident, but would clearly inicate that it is not acceptable behaviour and would not want to see it repeated. If my son would come home stoned, I would eventually forgive him. Would accept the incident, but clearly indicate it is not acceptable behaviour. For many of us, cheating is not something we can forgive in our partner. However, for some of us it can be forgiven under certain circumstances. -

It absolutely is. Nor am I saying that it should be forgiven. However, forgiving and labelling it acceptable behaviour are not the same thing. I would think that much will depend on how the story will come to light as well. I know quite a few long term relationships, which have turned out to be very strong and loving in which minor and major transgressions have taken place. -

Forgiving some one and accepting the behaviour are not the same thing. -
has it ever occured to you that maybe they don't want to live like you?

Saw the same thing last night. Had to do a double take. But, it was without a doubt a dz.com shirt and I am pretty sure he was on top of a LAV III, which is a Canadian vehicle (which could still make him American, but increases the likelihood of him being Canadian). CBC The National...right?

I agree with you. Though it is unfortunate that it doesn't seem to happen too often. Specially within the same force. I know lots of great police officers, who truly believe in what they do. There are however also quite a few who see their badge as a get out of jail card, a way of being able to break (relatively minor) laws.

Is the British Military Trained by the French?
SkyDekker replied to Duckwater's topic in Speakers Corner
And I am sure that all these things are being reviewed. Kepp in mind though, that it was reported that Iranian ships were very frequently within very close proximity of the allied ships. They got used to eachothers presence and since they are not at war with eachother, an incident like this was not something on the "radar screen" if you will. Now, this is not an excuse for, but rather a possible explanation for why things went the way they did. -
That's always been my thought on the matter.

Is the British Military Trained by the French?
SkyDekker replied to Duckwater's topic in Speakers Corner
Of course you would, specially if they had 20 automatic rifles aimed at you while they were stealing it. You'd just go all Chuck Norris on them.... Always fun to see all the chest beating in threads like this. JR, you did raise some excellent questions. I doubt they will ever truly get answered. -
Don't know about the US, but in Canada that would be against the law. (assuming you witnessed it)

Oh I read the last time you amde that mistake. You were commenting on others who had voted in your poll. I gave you a possibility as to why. Hard to tell what you really mean when you say one thing, but really mean something else. Ahh okay, so the report is right when it agrees with your opinions and wrong when it doesn't agree with your opinions. No assuming that gun-control would reduce the available number of guns for thefts. There is some evidence that happens, as in countries with strict gun control laws tend to have lower crime rates. (and I agree that many more vriables are at play, but in the end the above is true)

Interesting to see that 40% of the cop killers included in this study were trained in the military.
