The stickers have nothing to do with support for or against any war, but are just there to support our troops. Secondly, nothing a city councillor is going to do that will make any difference in the war. Hence, I think in the 5th biggest city in north america, they should be doing something better than talking about stickers.

Couple of things: Yes Miller is an idiot, Torontonians are getting what they voted for, a Socialist. Miller did not order the stickers and magnets removed, he is just backing it. I think it is a stupid move, but the city has the right to determine what is put on those vehicles they own. It should be noted that it is highly unusual this was allowed in the first place. from what I can find, only two other major canadian municipalities allow stickers on their vehicles. Halifax and Ottawa. Funny enough, in Ottawa they are support our troops stickers and nobody seems to have an issue with it there. I wish our city councillors would worry about more important things.

Which started with the Toronto Police Sex Crimes Unit Child Eploitation Section discovering the chat room in Spring 2005, it was also a member of that unit that managed to infiltrate the chat room and get himself "promoted" to the only moderator of the group. The same unit that contacted Microsoft directly and had specific software written for them, now in use by 16 forces in Canada, but spearheaded by Toronto Police Service. These boys and girls do an amazing job. I could not imagine having to deal with that filth day in day out.

Did she gag and then say sorry?

I read this morning that he is eligible for a parole hearing in 4.5 years. This was great work by the Toronto Police Service. They are by far the world leaders in combatting online child pornography. Good Job Boys!!!! Can you imagine having to look at that shit for a living?

I think you are very right in that observation. That's why I always get a chuckle out of the male bravado posts that generally end up in threads like these...

I agree. PLus, I would the think the US has much bigger spending and funding worries than a free plane ride from time to time.

Food and basic necessities are not the same. Which would not be taxed?

Ah yes, since everybody obviously wants to be a member of the dz.com clique. Oops, almost forgot [[hugs]] [[vibes]] -
I have increased my base salary by 500% over the last 8 years within the same company and without my job description changing dramastically. (This excludes a 40% bonus introduction and greatly increased benefits and pension contributions in the last 2 years.) My biggest 1 time raise was 100%

it is a bit of a semantics game, since DC has very limited representation with limited voting powers.

Charges against Omar Kadr in Guantanamo dropped

There isn't, when there are more facts available and less is based on speculation. -
They ahve them with a wireless remote control...they can be a lot of fun...or so they say

never mind the lack of historical facts. Your logic doesn't make any sense. because of a mindset of a country today, you claim something else should have been done in the past? You are just not making any sense.

The question is how Omar Khadr came to those viewpoints. Some of that history might deminish some of his guilt, specially at that age. If a child is raised in a cult invironment in which it is constantly told that killing dogs by slitting their throat and let them bleed to death is the right thing to do, it has hard to 100% fault that child at 15 slitting the throat of a dog and watching it bleed to death. You have done well for yourself under difficult circumstances. But even you indicate that you had some help along the way. Now imagine not having any of that help. Can it be done...sure, but the odds deminish pretty fast. -

You completely contradict yourself in this paragraph. First you state that thanks to to a select few relatives you didn't become a street thug. Then you state that people are able to act like adults (assuming you meant responsible adults) at the age of 15. -
Yet another example of the Uk going down the shitter....
SkyDekker replied to MDMA's topic in Speakers Corner
The commonwealth is more to blame for this than Canada by itself. I tend to have little issue with the Chinese, and they are in abundance here in Toronto. They tend to work hard and spend a lot of money. Great for our economy. And as somebody else has already posted. try going to any of the asian countries and see how well westerners who live there have integrated themselves into the asian culture. -

I am. Maybe then parents will finally actually play with their children. spend time raising them, spend time entertaining them, spend time bonding with them, get them active, in stead of putting them in front of a television so the parent is free to do what he or she wants. -
I see that along statistics and logic, history isn't your strong point. You may have forgotten that there was an actual declaration of war. A step I guess not really necessary anymore in this day and age. You are trying to compare apples to oranges.

Congratulations, I wish you both nothing but happiness.
