  1. In fact, non-stealth helicopters are illegal in Italy. golf clap
  2. This has been fun, time to end it. DaVince said: Hence, you cannot support the banning of guns from mental patients. In your own words, it would be illogical. Your turn. Where did I make the comment about guns and airplanes you attribute to me?
  3. I provided my reasoning, you just don't agree with it. But, that is a different thread. I am asking you a question in this thread. Which you are complete ignoring. Doesn't surprise me though.
  4. I do, specially when combined with Obama's comments during the announcement.
  5. It is a hypocrasy in your own mind though. It appears you have made up your mind that such "shoot to kill" orders were given and have deemed all to agree with such. This is simply not the case. Probably also not the right time to have this discussion if you want it had with level heads. Too many emotions in play right now.
  6. I think the reverse needs to be asked as well: If we don't agree with a decisions, can we acknowledge it might be for the greater good, or are only those things we agree with considered to be part of the greater good?
  7. [reply For the most part I hope the Conservatives concentrate on economic issues and leave the "scary" social issues on the back burner. They were elected because they were perceived to do the least damage to the economy and social issues like abortion and gay marriage should NOT be touched with a 10 foot pole. If the Conservatives do change them, they themselves will be destroyed in the next election. But there are a few non economic issues that will likely be addressed: 1) End to the Long Gun Registry (stop punishing hunters). 2) End to political subsides. 3) Tougher crime bills (this will be controversial to some, but accepted by many). 4) Put an end to human smuggling (hard to imagine anyone opposing this, but there are some who will). I fully agree with your assessment.
  8. Three time incumbent Mark Holland was defeated by Chris Alexander, a former diplomat and ambassador to Afghanistan. Rush, this should be the end of the long gun registry.
  9. A cynic would argue that keeping OBL alive would be good for both the Oil Industry and for the Defence Industry. Bush and Rumsfeld have been known to be rather in favour of those industries making a lot of money.
  10. BlindBrick's explanation was dead on, he just doesn't have the blind hatred you have for Quade.
  11. Didn't hear anybody on the left complaining about that that when their party won majorities with those numbers. These arguments from the left would carry a lot more weight if they were thrown out when their party was winning. Bob Rae said the same thing on a Toronto Talkshow, how we needed proportional representation. He shut up pretty quickly when he was reminded he would neverhave been premier of Ontario with that voting system. Happy to see we have elected a Conservative Majority and happy to see my local Conservative candidate won, upseating the incumbent Liberal.
  12. So you got nothing, got it. You must really look up to me if you use me as the baseline for your standards
  13. Prove it. Show me where I said that, or admit you are a liar. Indeed.
  14. Ah yes, the old, I know what you are, but what am I retort. But, you have yet to provide proof of my double standard, or admit you are a liar. Your imaginary attribution of positions reminds me of watching my daughter play with barbies. But then, she too sometimes uses the, I know what you are but what am I line of logic.
  15. If you can't trust soldiers with guns, why would you trust the general public with it?
  16. Uhmm, never said that. Now, let's see if I can do my version of a "DaVinci": Provide some proof that I said that, or admit you are nothing but a liar and made it all up. Your tendency to make things up has been called. Yup, that sounds like you.
  17. Uhmm, not quite. If you were to attempt to shoot the internet, then I would wonder why a mental patient.... Try and quote all relevant parts. Anyways, I am done with this thread.
  18. It really is hard to tell from video. But, the closed fist strike while his partner is holding the girl doesn't look so good.
  19. Ok, I'll rephrase, why aren't soldiers in a country at war armed with loaded weapons?
  20. Finally you are agreeing with me, see that wasn't so difficult for you [/laugh] Not really, I would wonder why a mental patient had legal access to guns, which is what the original question was.
  21. Lol, except, don't think I was part of that discussion. I think you guys should be able to own, carry and shoot whatever the hell you want. Was just pointing out the stupidity of the plane semantics question posed. Now I am just waiting for DaVinci to let me know what he thinks my double standard is. (In this case anyways, as a father of two boys and 1 girl I have a significant amount of double standards)
  22. LOL and exactly what is my double standard?
  23. Right, it's a standard PR move for elected positions. Look at all the good things I am trying to do for you people who vote for me. But, the Man is keeping me down. Vote for me and I will continue to fight the Man.
  24. it would be if he was speaking. However, his typing is sometimes so bad you cannot be quite sure what he is trying to convey.
  25. You have stated quite clearly that mental patient having access to legal guns is not the issue. Since guns are just a tool. According to you the real issue is why a mental patient would have murderous tendencies and until that riddle has been solved, gun control is useless. Deflecting is a sure sign of losing. I have answered your question. Why are you so scared to answer the question I asked? If it all gets too much, you could always just shoot the Internet.
