Are they our media? Or are they a water company
SkyDekker replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Seriously, your country is in shambles...and this is your issue? People fuck up, it happens. I am sure we have all said stupid stuff before, or wished we could take something back. Getting an historical fact wrong to me is not as big as getting WMD wrong, or predicting mushroom clouds based on nothing, or fuelling hatred by calling for a crusade. YMMV. -
Ohh, I think the plan is bullshit. I also think that the plan will be a failure. I agree that it is a re-election ploy. I also think that if the Republican controlled congress allows it to happen, they are just as culpable.
-
I take it you ran out of soundbites?
-
Really you think having a larger public sector will solve the current economic problems and associated debt?
-
But your standpoint is that the Republican members of Congress will allow this bill to pass, because they want to protect their own political future? You don't think they would do what would be best for the country?
-
If the majority of Americans are either stupid or insane, democracy cannot work. Maybe there should be a dictator for a little while then? Or at least suspend democracy for a bit, since obviously Americans do not know what is best for themselves?

Walgreens Employee Fired for Use of Concealed Weapon
SkyDekker replied to nbblood's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup, it is. -
How is that? Senate and House just rubberstamping institutions?
-
So, the American people would be stupid or insane for not recognizing this?
-
Doesn't this bill have to go through a Republican controlled Congress? Following your logic, can we then assume that if this bill passes, Republican senators and representatives have proven themselves stupid or insane?

The Obama Definition of Civility Is Now Very Apparent

And now we have arrived at the actual reason for you posting it. -
Fairly confident is the right term with vasectomies at 99.8% effective. There are cases of them growing back together. There are also cases of sperm finding another route.

Uhmm no, I made a tongue in cheek, generalized comment. You were just the last person in the thread when I hit reply. For those who are giving in to the marketing fad of barefoot shoes (that doesn't mean that is what you did Butters, the part of the post which specifically addresses you is now over), I highly recommend you take it very very slow and start with wearing them while walking, before even attempting running. Serious damage to the achillis (among many other things) can occur. Further, don't buy this stupid story about Kenyans being good cause they run to school barefoot. Ezekiel Kemboi lived next to his school, nor did he do any running during his school age years.

I hope he is not your urologist.

pfff, all somebody has to do is tell her the war is over....
-
Just don't be a pussy and take it slow and easy in those minimalist shoes (or even better barefoot). It is a lot more natural, so go hard and far.

Gov. Brown vetoes bill to restrict military funeral pickets.

Because the only important thing in the constitution, and the only untouchable item, is the right to guns. The rest really is open to debate. Just peruse the threads here in SC. -

Indeed correct. And useless. -
Ramifications of USPS going out of business

If you look at it from the other side, you will find that alot of that is driven by consumer's demand for cheap value propositions. -
The Obama Definition of Civility Is Now Very Apparent
SkyDekker replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes it is, there is a hypocritical double standard in everything in life. I am sure you have a couple as well. We know Fox has it. We know several Family Value Republicans have it. We know Democrats have it. Everybody has it. In other earth shattering news, on a cloudless sunny day, the sky was observed to be blue. -
Walgreens Employee Fired for Use of Concealed Weapon
SkyDekker replied to nbblood's topic in Speakers Corner
I wonder if the only evidence of there being an armed robbery in progress comes from the fired (no pun intended) employee. Remember he does claim he pulled his weapon while the robber had already jumped over the counter and was pointing the gun at him. -
I fear you are incorrect twice. Rational fear too....
-
Some would call it pandering.

Ramifications of USPS going out of business

What about remote areas? The idea of a national postal system is to allow for relatively low rates throughout the country. Sending a letter/small package weighing 250 grams from Toronto to Resolute Bay is $70.40 with Fedex and $3.22 with Canada Post. I agree that the postal services around the world are due for some major changes. However, I do see some merit in a national mail delivery system that maintains a managable cost for all Canadians. -
I agree. This irrational fear of getting mugged, shot at, raped, assualted wherever you go. You must have some european ancestors.
