I just figured that if you tell other people to stay in their swim lane, you would also stay in your swim lane. I do realize that expecting some intellectual honesty might be a bit much.

My fear with her isn't so much the partisanship, but she is entirely unprepared and unqualified to deal with this case. Hopefully she has some egregious rulings that will allow the prosecution to ask the 11th circuit to have her removed.
-
The judge who (for now) is presiding over this trial has had a grand total of 14 days experience presiding over criminal trials.
-
You just know he is going to respond with a version of: "but I identify as one" snicker, laugh, cough.
-
Then why aren't you staying in your lane, you are neither transgender, nor a female athlete.
-
Thankfully Trump isn't President anymore, he would have moved on her like a bitch.

Under CIPA prosecutors have a right for immediate appeal to 11th Circuit to maintain a speedy trial. CIPA is the law that governs how trial judges are to deal with cases involving classified materials. However, I am not sure of an adverse Corcoran ruling would fall under CIPA. However, the Corcoran issue was already rule don by the 11th Circuit and I am not sure if there is even an ability for AC to rule on it again.

And the majority of them in the south, by white cops who have been involved in multiple shootings.

Good questions. If Trumps get the nomination and is elected he becomes President. Yes it is legal to run. The trial would likely not get delayed while he is President. The DOJ policy is not to indict, but we are passed that stage. What is likely on delay are the state charges. Georgia will likely still indict, but the actual trial will be delayed until the federal trial is completed. It is not clear if a President can pardon himself. If he does, it would in all likelihood end up in front of SCOTUS. What I currently think is the more likely scenario is that Trump will not get the nomination, but that whomever does get the nomination will want his endorsement. His endorsement would obviously only come with a promise of a pardon. I could see a scenario where he would drop out of the nomination, but I really am not sure his ego would allow that.

Means is the only qualifier, which Trump doesn't meet.
-
It isn't. Not all dismissals can be appealed.
-
No guarantees. AC can dismiss the case halfway through trial and Fed would not be able to appeal and Double Jeopardy would prevent Feds from bringing case again.

Are you sure, Secret and Confidential information can be sent via US Postal service: https://www.archives.gov/isoo/faqs#how-does-cnss-end-up-in-private-collections Then there are many, many, many articles outlining how confidential information and documents are generally not tracked: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/13/us/politics/how-classified-information-is-handled.html https://www.npr.org/2023/01/17/1149646374/how-the-government-keeps-track-of-classified-documents
-
Are there though? Nobody knows how many classified documents there are. Other then "code word" classified documents, it is my understanding they do not get tracked. lastly though, if a President says, leave it on my desk...is anybody going to say no?
-
Yup, agreed. Both could have pretty disastrous consequences for the future of the USA as a nation and its place in the world. Neither is good.
-
I know it isn't, because we don't know what the evidence is. What we do know is that the indictments happened. If the evidence is very strong, that is a problem. If the evidence is very flimsy, that is a problem. If AC acts like she did in her earlier rulings, that is a problem for the faith in the judiciary.
-
Sure, but one has to wonder what a bigger problem is: illegally coming to the US to be a productive member of society not returning classified documents to the rightful owner when requested
-
It is mostly Republicans though. Kallend posted the numbers before. The deficits runs by R Presidents absolutely dwarf deficits run by D presidents. If you are really interested in fiscally responsible governing, you would never, ever vote for a Republican president.
-
I have a hard time celebrating a former president of the USA being indicted, specially under espionage statutes. It is a dark day and whatever happens, I don't think the fall out is yet well understood. And if it is true that Aileen Cannon is presiding over this case, that is going to make it even worse.

I think Bill meant as a running mate in the next election.

Trump is only 4 years younger. Do you think that is material?
-
As you should for every VP (candidate). I am sure you loved Palin though.

They are, but you generally only supply the headlines of articles who end up not using, or not understanding the underlying NASA and IPCC data. -
Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
SkyDekker replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
The federal case has always been useless in my opinion. Next Republican president will just issue a pardon. Trump will just want to delay long enough that not too much damning information has come out yet.
