Filing a case is not the same as picking or deciding. (never mind that you don't file a case with SCOTUS. And I do think SCOTUS should decide. That is their job.
-
I dont think you are able to see it rushmc, since you probably agree with the statement.
-
I thought an armed society was a polite society? Maybe we just have different ideas about what is polite?
-
SCOTUS. That does happen to be their role. Surprised you didn't know that.

This guy could have stopped this from taking place for sure!!! http://www.thenorthwestern.com/article/20120815/OSH0101/120815024/Moviegoer-shoots-himself-buttocks-apologizes-leaves-theater?nclick_check=1

Leader Of Anti-Semitic Party In Hungary Discovers He's Jewish

And to some if you are black, you are a lazy bastard. -
None to my knowledge, other than what voters will stand. But you want SCOTUS to put those limits in place?
-
To me it comes down to strength of the US Market place. Daimler and Samsung (both highlighted in that article) IMHO just paid the fines to continue to access the US market. Really just a form of extortion.
-
Exactly. It's not unreasonable to view Robert's/SCOTUS's ruling on the ACA that there are effectively no limits on taxation. Whatever gets voted in. Considering the number of people in this country who do not pay Federal tax, it's tantamount to mob rule. That doesn't answer my question. What limits does your Constitution put on Taxation?
-
And there are probably some who think both are equally important.
-
SCOTUS's job is to strike down laws that exceed those powers granted in the Constitution. Excellent, so what are the limits the Constitution states for Taxation levels? And if there are none, why are you blaming the SCOTUS for not upholding it?

Mitt Romney summarizes Health Care Debate in Israel.
SkyDekker replied to ShcShc11's topic in Speakers Corner
Funny. All I have said in this thread is that obesity is a (small) yardstick regarding the effectiveness of Health Care. First you disagreed, now you seem to agree with me. If that is kicking ass....go at it. -
Your logic is failing again. 1. one could move to a different municipality, state, or country. 2. Too high a level of taxation and a politician is not going to get (re)elected.
-
What kind of nonsensical question is that? Why would you think that somebody who does not think taxes are theft is ok with a 100% tax? Look forward to seeing your reasoning.
-
So if they purchased it from their parents at full price, why do you have an issue with the kids "purchasing" it at almost half price? And if they sell it, somebody is most likely financing that purchase at full price. So, my question is, why would a purchasor be able to get a loan to buy the ranch at 100% of market value, but the kids would not be able to get a loan at 55% of the value? Lastly, isn't this just piss poor planning, not as if the Inhertance Tax is a big surprise.

Dude, you make no sense. You asked for any axplanation. I gave it to you. Obesity rates still remain as but a small yard stick in the effectiveness of a health care program. You are trying to make something much bigger out of it for the sake of trying to "win" an internet argument. -
This is starting to look like one of those, everything that's bad for business is Obama's fault and everything that is good is somebody else's accomplishment, type of arguments.

Not quite sure how you figure that. It would appear that those who are most succesfull get the most beneficial treatment as well, specially in the US. Yet we all do it to some extent. We ride the coattail of those who have gone before us and have opened doors. Have developed new tools, new processes, those who have mentored or hired you. Those who were willing to invest in a pipe dream, etc. And that is only if you are equating success and wealth as being identical.

Equality of outcome http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/08/13/obama_a_new_vision_of_an_america_which_prosperity_is_shared.html From the same link, Obama:"I believe we have to keep working to create an America where no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from, no matter what your last name is, no matter who you love, you can make it here if you try." I too believe prosperity should be shared. As in prosperous companies providing jobs within the same country. Companies using profits to invest back into the same country. Banks providing loans to stimulate growth. Hard work that pays off and provides money that doesn't get stored off shore. Throw in some nobless oblige and one is actively sharing prosperity.

Right, but I don't see requesting ID to purchase a firearm as not upholding a right. I reject the idea that all rights granted in the US Constitution have identical impacts with identical practical applications. Hence, I think your "ID for all or ID for none" stance is inane.

How did the parents get the ranch?

Mass shooting @ Sikh temple near Milwaukee
SkyDekker replied to airtwardo's topic in Speakers Corner
Well that depends. He may find himself gravitating to an area in which he didn't have to take those steps. Say Aurora, CO or College Station, Tx. Or during all those added steps they may find some troubling mental health issues. Like I responded to you in a different thread. Things just aren't that black and white. -
So a candidate who is to your liking except for his desire to ban all guns would possibly get your vote?

Unless he buys the guns before he becomes a criminal. Then he will go through all those steps. -
Because things simply aren't black and white.
