Now you are beginning to show some wisdom. The parents should be involved in the marriage of their daughter regardless of her age.     according to a sun news poll, 50% believe it to be very likely Ford will win another term, and 34% believe it to be likely. Only 7 % write him off. Humanity has a long history of people supporting thugs as leaders as long as they deliver. To the Canadians here: objectively viewed, how well has Rob Ford delivered? He has mostly done what he said he would do during his election campaign.

    Not only that, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a good showing. Our sober political liberal politicians wasted billions of tax dollars on buying votes through cancallation of power plants, ehealth scandal, Ornge, etc. There is still a lot of support for Rob Ford's position, many will forgive his crack smoking for the results. Personally I'll take all the jokes and have Toronto in the shape it is in, over a sober politician and be like Detroit....

    I am sorry? I thought building bombs was just as easy as, or even easier than buying and shooting guns. The bombs not going off is a relatively clear indication that position may not be as strong as you would like.

    Well, if you had a relatively minor understanding of English, you would have understood that when somebody uses words like "it would appear" it is indeed a claim based on speculation. In my case speculation based on living in the country and being exposed to the society in question. It has been funny to have you preach about how one cannot come to a scientific conclusion in such a fashion. The rest of your post is just as much of a joke. When you have to change robbers to muggers to then deride me that I know nothing about criminals, is a relatively sure indication that you are grasping at straws. At least you end it on a highly educated Kindergarden note.

    I am not avoiding any topic. Just stating one factor, which doesn't appear to be hurting. Correct. That's rifles and not hand guns. We also are not free to carry them around loaded etc. So, in one post you deride me for avoiding topics that have influence....and then go on to do the same thing to support your position. Priceless. It could yes. Thought most robbers go for surprise and would like to incapacite before you know what is going on. So quick to anger...good thing you are armed! No wonder you Americans cant keep from shooting yourself and each other.

    I reject this definition of tolerance. Being tolerant simply does not mean you tolerate everything in life. You can have tolerance for some things and be intollerant for others. Tolerance is issue specific and not all encompassing. I tolerate a skydiver yelling "hey asshole", I do not tolerate my 8 year old yelling the same thing at me. With your definition tolerance is an impossible concept. Sure you can....see above.

    Nobody said he was born that way. The show is about a bunch of guys behaving like rednecks. I don't agree with A&E then being upset about one of the characters behaving like a redneck. There was no talk about hating anybody.

    Right, which can all be done rather quickly and easily. More easily than building a bomb with a detonation device etc. For me, there is no doubt that guns make acting on these "impulses" easier. As I have stated many times before, that does not mean I think that banning guns in the US is the solution. I don't think it will resolve anything at this point. These shootings are simply the result of the path the US has chosen. Actions have consequences. Whole different issue, but one I wholeheartedly agree with you on.
