Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
SkyDekker replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
And that 5M came out of a transfer of around $55M from Trump Org which the court appointed monitor wasn't told about. The remaining $50M might be tight to an undisclosed loan between Trump and an LLC without any reported value which is probably being used to avoid paying personal taxes. Which would be illegal. I will never understand who Republicans have hitched their wagon to a con artist. -
Thank you for proving Trump is indeed one of the worst leaders one could find.

And for an appeal I am pretty sure he has to put up a bond for the $83.3 million. -
Nothing too fancy; Audi S5, but I like it. Smile on my face every morning. The dog's car is a Honda Fit.
-
Maybe. I love my car, puts a smile on my face every morning when I start it up. So I can understand people wanting to spend money for a car that they enjoy. The dog's car on the other hand is just utilitarian.

Wonder if this is Bill’s?
-
True. However, I also have a feeling Oppenheimer didn't think what he was working on would power a cellphone either. We always seem to think we are at the end of an improvement cycle.

I don't get it, Trump is an expert builder and he was going to build a wall and that was going to stop illegal immigration? If Trump was any good at what he did, how could there be an illegal immigration issue at the Southern border?

He couldn't distinguish between his wife and E Jean Carroll in a picture.... You guys will tell yourself anything instead of recognizing you are supporting a rapist. The women in your life must be so proud of you.
-
Here is another one, or just google Betavolt a Chinese company which claims to have developed a nuclear battery that can power a cellphone for 50 years without charging. https://insideevs.com/news/704871/china-betavolt-atomic-energy-battery/
-
By that time maybe we'll have nuclear batteries that outlast the lifecycle of the car without requiring a charge: https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/business/china-introduces-revolutionary-nuclear-battery-that-lasts-50-years-without-charging/articleshow/106880627.cms?from=mdr

And I didn't expect you to defend a rapist....but here we are.
-
If you're Republican.

And then brought their families in through chain migration.
-
Exactly, why go to the moon when we can't even get to Mars yet.
-
That is because you are sticking your head in the sand and in doing so are condoning sexual assault. Your wife must be so proud of you.
-
Ah yes he was "only" ruled to be liable for sexual abuse. And then the judge had to come out and say that colloquially that is rape. God forbid this happened to your wife, but could you imagine telling her, honey come on now, you weren't raped, you were just fingered against your will? Do better. Trump is a rapist by how the term is generally used.
-
Which compares to an increase of 12.4% total new car sales.
-
Ahhh yes. The issue here might be that your arguments tend to follow this pattern: When I look down the prairies the earth looks flat. (factual) Therefor the earth is flat. (not factual). It is a repeating pattern with you.

You are trying to tie things together, that I don't think have anything to do with each other. I believe Gay should have been fired, or should have resigned a long time ago. I think DEI is good business. Having a diverse workforce is good for business. Having a homogenous workforce is bad for business. Being very anti-DEI can lead to very bad hires. I will paraphrase Mark Cuban here, but one of the most prominent anti-DEI organizations led to the hiring of the following people: Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, John Bolton , John Kelly, Michael Flynn, Rance Preibus, Tom Price, Mark Esper, Anthony Scaramucci, Bill Barr, Mark Milley, Jim Mattis, Mick Mulvaney, Sean Spicer, Dan Coats, Ryan Zinke, David Shulkin, Don McGahn, Scott Pruitt , HR McMaster, Ty Cobb , Paul Manafort, Rudy Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark Many of those hires were so bad they have turned into memes, jokes, criminals or general laughing stock.

Trump has a long history of arguing both sides of an argument, depending on which one benefits him at the time. President being, or not being an officer of the United States is another example of this. -
Pretty sure the information provided at the time was based on a bad source and torture, but they will argue it wasn't knowingly false, even if brought to court. Obama has a DOJ opinion that was documented prior to his decision that calls the strike likely legal. Hard to bring a criminal case under those circumstances. There isn't really a "Pandora's box" that would be opened. While I am not sure what the court will rule, I am pretty sure Trump will lose by 3-0. I think en banc will be denied. I think whether SCOTUS grants cert will really depend on whether there is consensus among the 3 judges.

Rush made a similar comment just after 1998. The result was so embarrassing for him he hasn't been seen since.

I am not sure that showing a graph indicating 2023-2024 is below the 1981-2010 median, below the IQR and at the bottom end of IDR is really supporting your position.

Which is what I said, difference is average Republican voter is stupid. Works pretty well for me.
