  1. I agree, we should hold the general public to a much higher standard than Presidential candidates.
  2. Why? Do you immigrate to the US or to a state? Can the state grant residency? Green Card? Visa? Seems pretty clear it is a federal issue.
  3. Wrong. It s not her skin color that I don't trust. It is her attitude and we choices as a human. Sure, sure, whatever helps you sleep at night.
  4. TRIGGER WARNING in the title please.
  5. And in the mean time they are getting deported at record numbers. And you want more government involved, since you believe more government involvement will help the process?
  6. But you only think that because she is black. They are inherently shifty.
  7. You mean like - Oh - Idunno - refusing to prosecute and uphold immigration law? OK, enough about G.W. Bush. thank you for reinforcing the point. It's been going on so long that even the "blame bush" crowd think it's normal and ok. "bush did it, so it's ok for obama to do it too" More illegals were deported in Obama's first term alone than in BOTH of GWB's terms in office. And Reagan is the only president to have signed an act giving amnesty to illegals. Clearly turtlespeed was referring to Republican presidents. OK - just so we are clear. You think it's OK to not do the job as long as it involves the party you agree with, but then if it's not the party you agree with, you rage against the injustice. If illegals are being deported in record numbers, why are you whining about people not doing their job relating to illegal immigration?
  8. Not sure what business you work in, but where I work "that's not how we used to do it" is not a valid objection.
  9. You can't use logic. It simply doesn't matter to them. Yes, I agree. Thanks to fracking is correct. One day that source will be obsolesced as well. The Sun provides more than enough energy to meed our needs every day. Eventually we will develop means to store and harness it so we no longer need to rely on digging up geologically stored reserves. Agreed! So can we now stop wasting resources on wind and solar until that time comes sometime in the next century? It might even work by then. Generally you want to try and get the new resource lined up before the old one ends. Since it is impossible to get an exact date when it ends, you would want to start developing new resource possibilities now
  10. His supporters probably see that as confirmation of being right all along. Here is this rich, successful business man who used to think talk like a Liberal and now he thinks talks like "one of us". I have a hard time with the concept that there is a lot of thinking involved one way or another. Good correction, I agree.
  11. What a load of crap. Nobody here at least is "calling for blood", it is just further indication what a farce the Trump campaign is. I haven't seen any liberal on here say they considered the charges as "trumped up". Do you feel that the little black girl should be charged? I think like a good American somebody should have shot her and claimed standing their ground.
  12. Other than a US businessman who liked to travel to Russia to have sex with underage orphans. He was a client from jail.

  15. Correct, it is a team thing. And as a Canadian I understand not everybody should be, or wants to be on the same team. Maybe when the US figures out that concept they will stop murdering people around the world in their misguided effort to make everybody be on their team. Or at least stop battering female journalists of their own mouthpiece. Nice straw man - Evan has a toupe'. It was about the team trump has - not the US foreign policy. . . . But you knew that. Right and the Campaign Manager plays no active role in the team charged with the physical security of Trump. But you knew that.

  17. Yup, house of Saud is pretty awful, even when the president holds their hand when on leisure walk. Or lets them fly their private jets over the US when all other GA traffic has been grounded. This has all been known for quite some time and with various presidents in office both R and D. The house of Saud has the US by the balls, getting distance in between both parties would be very painful.
  18. If you had understood what I wrote, you wouldn't be asking that question.
  19. I have heard a lot of discussion on Trumps comments and what you post. I have no idea I have not heard anyone who has an idea I do not even know where to go in the discussion with this... what about you? I don't think it should be illegal first of all. If it were to hypothetically be illegal, I would want it structures as providing the service being illegal, but undergoing or requesting the procedure not to be illegal. However in my opinion it never should be illegal.
  20. Assault is saying "I'm going to punch you in the nose" and shaking your fist. Battery is punching in the nose. You can have assault without battery and vice versa (e.g., a sucker punch). If someone is responsible for security for a public official, and a citizen puts their hands on said public official, pulling the citizen away can be deemed justifiable. It's the old 'first blood' thing (in a bloodless kind of way). Generally, the rule of thumb is that if someone assaults and is within range to cause damage (arm's reach for a fist, effective range for a firearm, etc.), battery in response is justified. You don't have to let them throw the first punch or fire the first shot. The most effective approach is, of course, to stay out of range in the first place. BSBD, Winsor Of course that whole point is moot if that person (Trump in this case) voluntarily walks into the group. Secondly the campaign manager is not personally responsible for the security of Trump. The secret service detail is.
  21. So you clearly agree that women should be punished for having an abortion if abortions were illegal. What should the punishment be in your opinion? I simply agree that women should be held accountable IF abortions become illegal and the woman is convicted in a court of law. I simply agree that a person caught breaking and entering should be charged and convicted, if they are guilty. I simply agree that A drunk driver should pay for his crimes if caught breaking the law. Why don't you want people to follow the law? Wanting people to follow the law and punishing people for not following the law are two separate concepts. I don't want people to kill the person who molested their child, I would want them to follow the law. However, however if they did decide to, I wouldn't want that person to be punished too harshly, if at all (depending on all kinds of circumstances). See, the two concepts are separate. So, back to my original question. What should the punishment be for a woman getting an abortion? (assuming it is illegal)

  23. There is absolutely no surprise you would think that. A presidential candidate and his campaign manager consistently denying what is evident on a video is exactly the same as an idiot student doing something stupid. Takes Trumpian logic to get there, but then you have fully bought in.
