  1. If it puts billions into their tax revenue (and housing values, and available jobs) it may well be worth it to the town. You must be pretty upset San Diego didn't use tax payer dollars to build the Chargers a stadium then?
  2. Ladies and gentleman, the Attorney general of the United States of America: https://www.syracuse.com/us-news/index.ssf/2018/11/matt_whitaker_bigfoot_toilet_time_travel.html What a Banana Republic.
  3. I think nothing says American capitalism more than tax payers giving $billions to a guy who makes more than $100,000 per second. Somehow that is "success".
  4. McConnel will go down in history as a person who has done more damage to US democracy than any other politician.
  5. This is quite the conundrum for the NRA. The "good guy with a gun" was black. That doesn't fit their narrative. Wonder if they will start advocating gun control again, like they did when it came to The Black Panthers.
  6. There's a difference between "in fear of your life" and intimidation. But an armed society is a polite society. Why would anybody feel intimidated when they have the great equalizer on their side? The presence of armed people is supposed to stop violence, can't feel intimidated if violence is already being stopped. Now you're being silly. For someone who professes to know so much about our country and its laws - or how we should be changing our gun laws... I'll try again - There's a difference between "in fear of your life" and intimidation. If you'd like me to drill it down for you; I'm happy to do it. Or, you can just keep squawking, "Banana Republic, Banana Republic," in every post. I hear your president doesn't like recounts. At least he has been vocal about them, saying it is voter fraud. Of course, where there might be some voter fraud, Georgia, he is completely silent. What a Banana Republic. Thank you captain obvious. Been saying for a while that the reasoning of the pro-gun side and internet Rambos is about as stupid as it gets.
  7. President calls wanting to count all votes "big election fraud". What a Banana Republic.
  8. The president threatened to withdraw press credentials from other journalists who don't show him "respect". What a Banana Republic.

  10. Tucker Carlson is a but gun supporter Safe to assume Tucker Carlson owns guns. Gun supporters always state how a person with a gun can easily neutralize any threat. Why would Tucker Carlson be scared or feel terrorized?
  11. I have not heard this. Citation? That's an easy Google Search. The key portion of his post is "ALL". Yes , Avenetti and Swetnick were referred to DOJ to be investigated. Neither Ford or Ramirez have recanted or been referred to DOJ for investigation However, you CAN find that Trump has falsely stated that Ford has recanted A leader who lies to undermine regular citizens. What a Banana Republic.
  12. This, the evidence is pretty clear. the White House released a doctored video to silence a member of the press. It is exactly what would happen in a Banana Republic. Combine that with the installation of a religious zealot as Attorney General and you have the start of a fine shit show.
  13. The global eradication of smallpox was certified, based on intense verification activities in countries, by a commission of eminent scientists on 9 December 1979 and subsequently endorsed by the World Health Assembly on 8 May 1980. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smallpox#Eradication Don't need no scientist, schmientist, we all know smallpox is a Chinese Hoax.
  14. Mods should move this to the Banana Republic thread where it belongs. I was debating that when I posted. But didn't think there were Muslim Banana Republics.....
  15. Really the only difference between this and sharia is the religion. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/nov/08/matthew-whitaker-acting-attorney-general-judges-christian?CMP=twt_gu&__twitter_impression=true
  16. Boy, sure got quiet around this whole caravan and "invasion".....
  17. I find it sad that as a society the US is OK with this level of violence and not willing to even start down a path of trying to fix this. This number of deaths has become acceptable for "freedom".
  18. Yesterday the White House released a doctored video to "justify" barring a member of the press who has not been kind to the president. What a Banana Republic.
  19. He was the campaign manager for one of Mueller's Grand Jury Witnesses. How is that a joke? I believe temporary appointments are exempt from Senate Approval for 220 days.
  20. Of course the acting AG has already been proven to have ties to a Mueller Grand Jury witness. https://twitter.com/KenDilanianNBC/status/1060284515992641544 What a Banana Republic.
  21. Speaking of, I think Bannon should be on the shortlist as well.
  22. Giuliani is fresh back from a trip to Georgia and Armenia, as a private citizen of course....wink, wink. He should be well rested for this nomination.
  23. Like I said earlier: Banana Republic. https://i.imgur.com/ufzTDfH.gifv
  24. I remember you, welcome back. I haven't spent too much time contemplating death, other than the financial side of it for my children mostly. Like you, the obligations of children have caused me to stop jumping. I am fine with that. I am sure the fear of the unknown, which death mostly is, is pretty common and might just be a part of changes in life and circumstances. For many people starting a new decade can come with a lot of reflection. I am sure that will pass.
