Mueller investigation - making money for America
SkyDekker replied to billvon's topic in Speakers Corner
Not enough. Maybe Republicans just aren't smart enough. Democrats are better for the economy and get convicted less. But Republicans are against brown people and women, its tough to go against that. -
Mueller investigation - making money for America

What's wrong with just following the law? -
How do you quantify that? Simple, Trump says so, so it is true.
-
Considering both Ron and Rush have to hide behind some grand conspiracy in order to not have to face the stream of lies and deception coming from Trump. To not have to face the multitude of investigations into Trump, etc. I think Bill is generally slightly more reasonable.

Cohen is so stupid he plead guilty to something that isn't a crime?

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

All the best people tell me that. -
What has become abundantly clear is that the single most important thought Trump has in any dealing is: How do I benefit from this. Interestingly enough, that is exactly what the Republicans always accused the Clinton's of. And exactly what they will now try and excuse as much as they can.

That mantra must work, cause the economy and the stock markets keep doing better under Democrats than under Republicans. Maybe the mantra of: we'll squeeze as much out of the poor to give to the rich turns out not being as good for the country. If you want economic prosperity, history says you should vote Democrat. Do you not want economic prosperity for the US? Yes, because as a Republican the fault could certainly not be with anybody else. Republicans clearly have a problem with women and visible minorities in powerful positions. Don't believe me? Just look at facts: take your current cabinet, take the current GOP leadership.

Youngest woman elected to congress. I think she has already done more than most. Again, when Ryan was elected under very similar circumstances, it was lauded as a great accomplishment and a clear sign of his intellect. When a woman repeats this feat, she is ridiculed.

I am pretty sure you don't know what empirical means. Lots of empirical evidence that CO2 emissions are rising sharply due to human activity. Empirical evidence that less CO2 is escaping the atmosphere. Empirical evidence the planet continues to accumulate heat. Put that all together and you have a line of empirical evidence that human CO2 emissions are causing global warming. -
So he said that he would love to be able to restrict fake news, but the constitutions stops him from being able to do that and he thinks overall that is a good thing. Yeah, you are right, most democrats and those here in speakers corner agree with that. Are you really proposing that most republicans object to the free speech protection in the constitution?

Your spin So far from any facts But you are good at accepting and making spin Is that not what he was convicted of? What do you think are the facts?

Process isn't over yet. Basically going to jail for doing what Trump ordered him to do. Meanwhile "Mr. Big" goes free because he is POTUS. Love American justice.
-
Correct, though she said that in what was supposed to be a private meeting.

He was just a coffee boy right?

Pelosi didn't goad him or publicize it. Schumer goaded him. Nobody "publicized" it specifically, it was all on camera. Pelosi actually tried to stop it in the beginning by asking not to have the debate on camera. The video is easily available.

Mainly because she's a woman. Not that that's the primary reason, but that's the easiest avenue for them to take. Note that Iago talked about her like one would talk to a dog. Such minimization and dehumanization will play a big part in the right's attacks on her. She'll be called a clueless girl, compared to a dog, told she can't handle it, told that she is "hysterical" when she disagrees etc. Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) : “You look at this girl, Ocasio-Cortez or whatever she is . . ." I disagree, sort of. She's a lightweight. No degree other that an undergrad from a good school, no real professional chops, just some experience in education and political social justice issues. I do agree that Republicans are going after her because they think she represents all that is wrong with millennials and yes, they're playing up the points you cover. Of course Ryan was called pretty much a genius when he got elected at a young age without any experience.

A passport for what? She won't need a passport. But maybe it will free up their two homes here in Vancouver. They are worth $14,000,000 combined. -
If I were Russia and I am trying to sow discourse in US society, the NRA is a natural target. Americans have shown they are generally unable to keep from shooting each other. Each incident leading to further discourse. Arming as many Americans as possible helps with creating instability. A third of Americans has already indicated they would happily embrace Russia if it means not giving power to a woman or a black person.

How is that any different from the Kennedy's?
-
The Democratic party? Extreme LEFT??? When your starting point is the nazi side of Republican, then the Democrats in the US would indeed look like socialists. Funny enough in Canada the Democrats would probably be considered right of centre.

They have been through untold investigations and nothing ever comes out of it, not even charges. If they are guilty, either the Clintons are incredibly smart and cunning, or everybody else is just incredibly stupid. Which one do you believe? It is not smart or stupid. It is the possession of incredible power. And they just amassed this power by sheer luck? I mean they are nowhere near as rich as Trump, yet it would appear infinitely more powerful. Just luck?

Agreed - but I thought we were discussing Ron's source. If we weren't - I apologise. I thought that was pretty clear as well.
