I just read the article on the Fox News website. Incredibly it doesn't state that this would amount to obstruction. It doesn't state that it is a crime, it really only reports on what Democrats are saying about it. There is very little explanation about what it all actually means. Incredibly poor journalism.

Now what is indeed the big question. Nobody has been able to verify this yet, but if this report is true there is no doubt that Trump is a criminal. Even Barr will have a hard time arguing around this, since he was specifically asked during his hearing if the president influencing somebody to change their testimony would be obstruction. He confirmed. (the timing of those very specific questions are interesting to me) Switched to Fox News a couple of times yesterday and this morning, they were not discussing this report at all. Even on their website it is not the leading story. The reaction of the GOP is going to be telling today.

Understood and agreed. However, comatosed women generally get their periods. Pregnant women cannot get their period, but can experience vaginal bleeding/spotting. I believe Bill's implication to be that a caregiver should have noticed the lack of period and therefor the indication of a possible pregnancy. My comment was aimed at that. -

I think what you are getting at is that whomever was caring for the comatosed woman should have noticed her not having a period while changing her sanitary napkins. Vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is not unusual. Not sure how much checking of the discharge in a sanitary napkin of a comatosed woman you are advocating for here? Specially keeping in mind that the possibility of pregnancy would likely have never been a consideration. -

That is simply not true. It was investigated and determination flowed from that. This is how it should work. In your case you believe that your side should not be investigated. You have even started to believe in a made up entity, the Deep State, to explain away any negative outcome from that investigation. Yet, somehow I don't think you can "see" the difference.

Because that has nothing to do with the claim that Obama sent money to influence the Israeli election. The report is quite clear that didn't happen. The report does indeed highlight various other problems, but they weren't part of your claim here. (yes I know Hillary sent emails, that too isn't part of your claim)

The rest I will paraphrase: State Department screwed up by not properly reviewing the plan and ensuring grant funds could not be used for political purposes directly or indirectly. No spin required, just reading more than a headline, which I gather can be a bit of a challenge for you.

I purposely stated it in such a way that no spin was involved. The explanation was a pure statement of facts as supported by the reports produced by congress. It is interesting that you see the statement of facts as spin, but not the news article you quoted.

In my opinion more information has lead to people not being able to establish truth from half-truth from pure fiction. The response to that seems to be to revert to seeking out only that "news" that agrees with your already established opinion.

I know nuance is going to be lost on you, so this isn't for you. For those with the ability to see beyond partisan black and white: State Department provided a grant for a different purpose. One Voice then re-purposed those funds after the grant period ended. State Department did not have restrictions in place on the grant money ensuring money would not be diverted. What Rush is claiming is the equivalent of the following: Rush asks me for money because he is trying to help support a sick child. I give him money, but don't stipulate he can only spend it to support that sick child. Rush decides to buy a gun to protect himself from evil libtards. Ron now claims I gave money to arm Republicans.

Indeed. Circulating pictures the first lady posed for and was paid for is very unbecoming. Circulating fake pictures of AOC worthy of a chuckle and indicative of why she is no good for her position.

In my county, if we had any Muslims, the sheriff would be greatly amused. One of his second term election promises was that he would support our Second Amendment rights without compromise. Was the second statement meant to support the first statement? If so, how?
