The disenfranchisement of certain groups of voters isn't really hidden. You would have to be pretty blind not to see it. I mean you have heard of gerrymandering right?

You would think that the failure in New York would have led to trying to improve the system. You would think the federal Government would do anything to ensure the States have the resources available to improve their systems in light of COVID. In stead you get this.... Add to that the US Post Master purposely slowing down the mail service. For a democracy you guys certainly try and make it as difficult as possible to actually vote.

Ah yes, the “or else” response. I already outlined how that is kind of shit holey. You know what would happen in a shit hole country too? The postal service would be delayed for political purposes. Even though 330,000 veterans depend on receiving medications through the mail daily. Wonder if that is happening in the US.

Except it isn’t Trump. The President only has the authority to do this for national security reasons. Like last time there will be no questioning of this by the established system. Nor is there a national security reason. Democrats won’t question or investigate, Republicans won’t care.

Want another example: New Trade deal was very recently ratified. Today Trump decided to institute tariffs. I am sure it has nothing to do with Russian Mobster Oleg Diepaksa's Rusal Aluminum plant in Kentucky, for which they announced ground breaking this week.

That is assuming the current state is an abnormality, or a flaw in the system. I don't believe that, I believe it to be the direct result of the design of the system and a complete inability to look beyond: we are the best and everything we do should be emulated by the entire world. There is indeed a long and beneficial relationship. Like when 9/11 happened, Canada and most notably Gander showed up to help. When Canada needed help, Trump ordered 3M not to help. There is no doubt the Canadian Economy is to a large degree tied to the US. The statements alluding to: be nice or else, just further shows shithole...

The underlying point is retarded. Cashing lottery tickets and voting have nothing in common. Shockingly I also like getting blowjobs in person, but that doesn't mean that mail in voting cannot be done successfully. The reason it is being fought against is because it doesn't favour republicans. With a deadly pandemic raging in your country, all effort should be made to make mail in voting successful. But, like republicans you care more about yourself than what is good for the country or others (as you indicated with caring more for cash than the health of a love done). Mail in voting has been around for a long, long time, the basis is there. For the best country in the world, with the best political system, the best people, the best academics, the best everything.....it really shouldn't be that hard to take a process that already works extremely well and scale it up.

Yeah, different in every jurisdiction, but trying to stay anonymous would be my ultimate goal if possible. Murder rates etc are much higher for lottery winners. As one lottery winner once said: I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

Those weren't the only options presented. Wasn't even the original question. The question was if I would use USPS if it was recommended. Assuming there are some provisions in place to account for a missing ticket. Yeah I would, if it was recommended. Now, It would appear Trump is actively working to degrade the service and ability of the USPS.

Maybe, but not by smart people. Smart people would set up a Claiming Trust (As part of a larger trust strategy) and assign their ticket to the Trust. Picking it up in person would be the last thing they want to do.

I indeed do not get a vote in your federal elections. Thank god. You couldn't pay me enough to live in that shit hole country. Yeah? And if you had a decent chance of picking up a highly contagious disease while being there, would you still? What if you lived with a spouse or family member at high risk of dying? What if you didn't have a driver's license? What if you were currently out of country for work, say in Afghanistan?
