Story is absolutely useless without stats or comparisons. For such an incredible science mind like yourself, you sure get easily led around.

Those on the ground? Arent those the same people responsible for training Afghan troops? Sounds like they failed miserably at their jobs. Your assessment is that Biden should have known the US had absolutely failed at their mission to train Afghan troops? And then what? Given them more time? You think 5 months later they would have accomplished what they didn’t in 20 years?
-
Do you think the intel, military and state department advisers told him that the 20 years and trillions of dollars were so poorly spent that the Afghan forces and government would implode almost instantly? I think what the GOP is most concerned with is that this will hamper drumming up voter support for future wars and therefor it will likely impact defense lobby dollars flowing into their coffers.

20 year conflict, but Biden owns it. Buddy, you couldn't be more partisan if you tried. More than enough blame to go around. Trying to pin it all on one person, one president, one decision shows a serious lack of understanding and quite frankly shows a lack of intelligence.

Bach was never paid by Ludwig for the Brandenburg Concertos.

I wonder if you have ever jumped a new exit?

That's easy. Trump would have said that all the best people are saying he is doing a great job, best job possible. Then people like Brent would say: see, all the best people are saying it.

Lots of folks did not think the USA was wrecked. Lots of people certainly thought he had the potential to wreck it.

Is America that fragile?

You are the only person arguing this. It is not a smart move. But there is more than enough evidence to suggest that the consequence of that behaviour is impacted by race.

Ah yes, the if the good blackie just did what he was told he would be fine defense. January 6th is just one example that shows you are wrong.

They are actually more up to date. Your figures are from August 7th. This website manually updates as soon as government announcements come out and are much more current (near real time): https://covid19tracker.ca/vaccinationtracker.html I just mentioned that one dose stats aren't that interesting, since it provides limited protection against the dominant Delta variant. Percentage total population fully vaccinated is most interesting from a "herd immunity" standpoint. The percentage of those fully vaccinated within the eligible (12 years old and over) group is interesting, since that is the only group increased vaccine uptick can come from. Overall Canada is performing well, but still lots to do.

Probably time to increase that general revenue vs GDP ratio, which hasn't really moved since 1947. Specially since the USA has one of the lowest ratios in the OECD to begin with. Of modern President, Bill Clinton performed among the best when it comes to moderate increases of debt to GDP ratio. he did that since he also increased revenue to GDP ratio. American's don't like that, but the fact of the matter is, that if long term financial health of your country is important to you, stop voting Republican.
-
I get a real kick out of the people who are trying to show an equivalence.
-
We are at 72% for at least one dose, but that really isn't the right metric. Fully vaccinated (2 weeks after second dose) is the correct metric to be looking at. 63.7% of the Canadian population is fully vaccinated. (73.2% Canadians 12+)

The argument in favour of the American health care system has generally been that it provides better care and is more available than "socialized" health care systems like for instance in Canada. That you can have two of the following three: Availability, Quality of Care, Cost. Starting to look like that argument isn't really that valid.

There are a lot of "could haves" when it comes to Afghanistan over the last 20 years.

Relapse is a bitch.

No it isn't. The majority of the debt is "owned" by the same people who are repaying the debt. But the interest rate isn't 3%. Sure, you can come up with lots of what-if scenarios, but your OP said you are fucked now, not based on some imaginary what-if scenario. You would think that such an amazing science mind like you would understand that you can't keep moving the goal posts and that when you do have to keep moving goal posts to prove your hypothesis true, it was false all along.
-
Debt service as a percentage of GDP is at an almost historic low (Not in the chart, but it is also at an almost historic low as a percentage of total expenditures): majority of debt is owned by the Public, which also makes Winsor's OP ludicrous.

Rand Paul living the "American Dream". Using his position of power to tell people not to use masks or get vaccinated, while having bought stock in company making COVID treatments. People, people, don't use prophylactics, they are bad for you. Get sick and then use this treatment, so I can make some more money. https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/11/politics/rand-paul-wife-stock-gilead-sciences/index.html

Interesting though how the hospitals are full with unvaccinated COVID patients. Those fuckers don't trust science to try and prevent them from getting sick, but certainly turn to science when it comes time to try and cure them from getting sick. As far as I am concerned, they should be triaged to the back of the bus.
-
Just make them conditional on a mask mandate.
