If yer gonna bring a "Gun", bring a .45. If yer gonna bring a 9mm, bring two. If yer gonna bring a .22, you might be better off to stay in bed and let them rob you.

If you were going to be in Florida and had time to jump one day which would you choose? I'm thinking the views at Space Center might be incredible. Any recommendations?
-
ok, now that looks like a siamese twin. So whose in charge of flying it, the guy on the left or the guy on the right?

I was a single parent with a "crumb snacher" of my own. He lives with me full time. I actually found it much easier to date women who had children of their own. There is a whole different set of responsibilities and circumstances that come with custodial single parenthood that may be understood by non-parents, but never fully appreciated. If a single guy wants to run simply because you have children then let him go, it wouldn't have been worth the trouble anyhow and he's probably mature enough to recognize that he's not ready to have kiddo's in his life. Sooner or later you'll run across somebody who truly understands the challenges you have raising children, and the hurdles they can bring to an adult relationship. When you do, it will be worth the wait. Good Luck ma'am

yeah, what he said. you'll need a "blank adapter" or something similar to hold enough barrel pressure for the action to cycle and force the bolt back. Otherwise yer stuck with a single shot blank firing uzi.

I think BIGUN nailed it. If yer're not stomping on it or burning it, then you need to be showing your respect for it. There shouldn't be any middle ground here.

Peek revisits the Kruger balloon suit, 20 years later
point_code replied to peek's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have an "X" suit made years ago. The sleves look just like the ones in this pic and they do have swoop cords. I've never been able to inflate the arms on it, but I do know that if you arch hard right off the step the relative wind will cause you to do a back flip. The legs have HUGE bell bottoms but do not close around my ankles so I couldn't imagine that the legs would fill with air. Has anyone heard of this suit? -
Fuck 'em! I fly a 210 too and when people ask me when I'm going to downsize I just tell them that I'm not in any hurry to get to the ground. I paid for a parachute ride so why should I be in a hurry to get it over with? Truth is, if I ever buy a new canopy, I'll probably upsize a bit.

does anybody have a pic of a slider with a pocket?
-
Sure! Grab a bottle of your favorite beer(un opened of course). Stick it in your microwave. Turn it to it's highest setting. And wait. You might grab a pair of safety glasses just in case.
-
Ok, I just have to ask. Why on earth would you take a welder to Baja Mexico? Seems to me that if you left the welder in your garage you'd have room for another 5 or 6 cases of beer.

My lines are certainly out of trim. Had them checked at last repack and some of the outside ones are as much as 4 inches shorter than spec. Needless to say, it's headed in for a re-line

Gee I remember the Nav opening pretty nice back in my student days (not all that long ago). But then again I fly a Sabre I now...........
-
ok, next question.... Does anyone have a slider 26"X31" that they want to sell?
-
Aww you don't look that bad. After all, I thought you were Chip Foose when I first saw ya.
-
makes perfect sense........ Let's buy some $10,000.00 monkey wrenches, toss them out of the space shuttle, then invest another million or two to track their orbit so we'll know if they are about to collide with a rogue camera mount.
-
yeah, what's up with that?? We can get a ticket and hefty fine for throwing a harmless candybar wrapper out the car window, But the Government can jettison potentially deadly garbage into space? Anybody remember the "Skylab"?
-
holy shit ya'll are lucky. Hell I've had 3 tickets in as many years for going less than 10 over. I'm nice and polite when getting pulled over and I drive a little white Nissan Sentra. Some people get all the luck and others are cop magnets I guess.
-
Oh, yeah! http://www.pcprg.com/hardop.htm Excelent article! Thanks for sharing. I loved the video of a soft opening. The slider came down nice and slow, mine zings down at the speed of light.
-
Pd said it would slow down and soften the openings in theory. In reality they said it seems to be a crapshoot. I've heard some people say it will and others say it may not. Just seemed like a good subject for conversation given the amount of experience here. I guess I was really hoping that a dozen or so Sabre I owners would say that it worked for them and would surely reduce my somewhat regular ass kickings. I dont get mega slammed all that often, the openings are just brisk and considerably more uncomfortable than other canopies I've tried. Other than that, I really like my Sabre and would rather solve my issue instead of replacing it.

I have a slider on my original Sabre 210 that is 28"X23". PD recommends 31"X26". Can a bigger slider soften my openings?
