Yep. Downloaded the sucker back in '86 off a BBS in Chicago. Always wanted to try the soap + gasoline version of napalm. Hmm, wonder how many FBI Carnivore alarms we set off with the above statements?
-
No way. We don't even have flying cars yet. I mean, c'mon. Flying cars for Christs sake! We're practically livin in the stone age here.

The sad thing is that it's probably easier for kids to get drugs than it is to get cigs or booze.

I think if they're really concerned about it, why don't they at least post the rigs that have this "problem" so better testing/information can be distributed?
-
So you're talking about packing this into a skydiving rig and deploying once you left the plane at altitude? I guess the only big concern with that is that on base/bridge deploy you're going out at a low speed vs skydiving you're exiting the plane already pretty fast. Maybe if you deployed it on the hill at the right moment, but I'd hate to whip one of those out at terminal. --> Usual disclaimers apply: I don't know Jack, I know less than Clay(and he don't know Shit), seek help from a professional counsellor/priest/sex therapist/whatever before doing anything, anywhere, anytime

Hmmm, I dunno, what are you wearing?
-
Well, I wouldn't be jumping a Xaos 98 for a start

(is the usual day behind everything) A couple cool birds are moving from Texas down to my home DZ? Bitchen

Hell, get ahold of Carrie and you can coord her, you guys and skymamma down at DeLand.
-
Your exit weight / canopy size. Exit weight being your naked weight plus about 20-30 lbs.

I have a Triathalon 160 loaded at 1.1 and a Swift 175 loaded at 1.0, haven't jumped either and won't be able to until I graduate down to the 160 and get a new container. I bought the Tri because I heard they had really soft openings, were easy to pack for a ZP canopy, and were pretty docile.

Alright, can someone clue in this noob on the difference between freestyle and freeflying?
-
And let me guess, sometimes you can see what the guy next to you ate for breakfast.

Yeah, I'm with Aggie on that one. Once I'm in the plane I've already practiced what I'm gonna do, I'll either do it or screw it up, no amount of thinking about it in the plane is gonna help. On the plane ride I'm just focusing on keeping my nerves down to a good level. Playing a song in my head, looking out the window, taunting the other students are all good ways to relieve stress. Other options: Forget skydiving and take up base jumping(hey, no plane!) Take flying lessons. You're afraid of unknowns not knowns.

Shit girl, I'd be too hung over to manage all of that. How about they just pop open the door at altitude and point to where the airport is?
-
LOL. But dude, you need a USPA coach to supervise if you've never done a Hop and Pop before...
-
"manifest proceedures (different @ diff places)" Oh yeah, forgot about that one. At my current DZ I walked up to manifest last weekend, asked about getting on a load and was looked at like a moron "you gotta talk to your instructor about that". Geez. At my old DZ any damn fool could throw a student out of a plane on its way to altitude.... you just manifested up.
-
Find the DZ's areal photo, scope out the landing area, learn where the nearby powerlines are, other hazards, etc. Then on the ride up I look out the window and compare what I see then to what I saw and planned around earlier.

See a doctor, they'll make sure it's nothing other than your diet and can refer you to a specialist who can suit your diet to your needs.

I've seen a picture of a helmet visor with a bird stuck halfway through it from a skydiver hitting it in freefall. The diver came away with a black eye. Would've been worse without the visor.

Is 1990 not too old for a reserve? I have a swift 175 that was made in '92 I'd love to keep(I weigh 150/155 without gear). It has about 20 repacks on it and no jumps. What's a perosity test and how do you go about getting one done?
-
Just a guess, but the concern was probably an unstable reserve deployment from being thrown laterally from a highly spinning main. Not having a RSL meant that would've been less a concern because you could focus on getting more stable before deploying. Dunno why you couldn't just disconnect the RSL before messing with the main though.

Homer, an agent from the Federal Witness Protection program will be in contact with you shortly to hide you from this woman. While they typically only deal with hiding people from the murders and cut throats of the Mafia, Yakuza, or Russian Mob they still might be able to protect you.

Hmm, 12 total, 11 more to go, 2 of which I'll love. Says I need to be careful because I'm easily hurt.
