Shit like this is what turns law-abiding citizens into people who shoot cops. Doubly so in Texas where most people are armed and believe in citizens being armed to protect themselves against government tyranny. Soon Dunking Donuts will become a free-fire zone.

Like a substitute teacher, but at the college level: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professors_in_the_United_States#Adjunct_Professor I'd describe it as a part-time and/or per-course instructor, who is not considered part of the full-time faculty of a college/university, and is hired on a per-semester basis. Not on formal tenure track. I've taught at the college and law school levels as an adjunct: trial advocacy (to law students), business law (to undergrads and paralegal students), constitutional law (to both undergrads and law students), legal research and writing (to law students and paralegal students). A buddy of mine, who was a business major and math minor, and now works in corporate management, also teaches math and business courses to college undergrads.

This is why I avoid divorce law. It's the same reason why I decided not to go into politics, even at the local level: in each case, all too often, Goal Number One is fucking-over the other person, no matter the consequence. No thanks. -

You had a genuine malfunction - broken steering lines - and at 72 jumps it's not unreasonable to prefer deploying and landing a reserve to landing your main with only rear risers. Plus, if the opening was hard enough to snap both steering lines, there might have been (as far as you knew at the moment) other damage to the canopy or effect on its controlability and/or descent rate, that might not have manifested itself until you were too low to cut away. I frankly think it was inappropriate to impliedly criticize the decision of a relatively newer jumper with only 72 jumps to cut away in that scenario.
