    (1) As to power, they can stop state-sponsoring terrorism, and then maybe they can be trusted to not develop nukes for OFFENSIVE purposes, or (almost as bad) to shield themselves from other states containing their state-sponsored terrorism and wholesale destruction of other countries, like Lebanon. Until then, they can go fuck themselves. (2) As to your second premise, the foundation is fallacious, and based on mainly on your gut, punctuated by facts more twisted and spun-up than the lines on a badly-deployed Stiletto. Sure, I could explain at length, but the burden is not on me to educate you in detail; it's on you to hit the (e-)books and do the serious research yourself. I have a cold; I'm going to bed.

Are you suggesting he'd impose martial law to extend his reign beyond the next election? I mean, he can barely use the military the right way; I sure as hell don't worry about him using it the wrong way.

Do you not have the remotest idea of the link between Iran and international terrorism/middle east conflict over the past 30 years? Have you never heard of Hezbollah? Go online, hit the books, whatever, but educate yourself on the subject.

    If, depending on your technical legal status, (etc., blah blah), you were deemed an independent contractor, then you'd be self-emplyed, in which case it wasn't a lie. OTOH, if you did lie on the application, then (a) that itself is probably a criminal offense, and (b) the license was never truly valid; and if you're caught (even if not likely), then any possession will be retroactively illegal, too. Pretty gutsy. But hey, we're all risk-takers, right? I mean, eh?

    Mine does that too. Is yours getting on is age? Mine is 17 and started doing it this year, i think they get disoriented as they get older. Hmm. Ours about 10 yrs old..ish? Doesn't act old at all though, still very athletic (you know, the jumping thing...). Still, didn't do that when younger....hmm.

    You raise a valid point. But fwiw, it's not at all easy, or cheap for a single woman to adopt a child. Otoh, adopting as a single parent does remove the factor of the second parent remaining in the mix. But also: are you holding potential willing single parents to a higher standards than married couples? I've known many women who've deeply desired to bear a child of her own. Should a single have more moral pressure to adopt than a married couple? Couldn't your logic apply equally to every married couple who wants to start a family?

    Not just probably, but almost definitely. The general rule is that parents cannot waive or contract-away legal rights held by their children. Child support is the entitlement of the child, period.
