  1. How convenient to play the victim when denying that atrocities committed by Muslims against non-Muslims (or other Muslims) has the slightest thing to do with Islam. Victim, again. And "bigots" -- wow. Never mind the fact that Germany alone has taken in over 800k this year. Instead let's all be reminded about what victims Muslims are at the hands of those western countries doing what countries should do -- screening those who enter. Objectivity is not your forte -- at least on the subject of adherents of your religion. This won't turn out much differently than a discussion with RonD about his religion. 2. IIRC he works in the fossil fuels industry -- that's how it takes more money out of "our" pockets. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  3. Sehr interessant. Vielen dank. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  4. If he has heard this before, he willingly chose not to realize it. Because he just knows you're so very wrong and going to hell for it. awesome. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  5. You've got to give it to him, he really knows how to say what a lot of people want to hear. I like the sound of this one, for sure. It would be fun to see him nominated and then pummeled by whoever he runs against in the general election
  6. Facts and republicans really don't mix. It's pathetic that your party and its followers willfully live in a world of bullshit. That bullshit -- not "liberals" -- is what's eating the country from inside. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  7. Better than Jeb Bush, that's all I can say. Even the Clinton family is less "stale" than that one. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  8. Don't forget the Democrats also lack the chickenshit war dodgers who waste trillions on needless wars for profit, while belittling those who actually showed up on the battlefield. I disagree -- it's both the politicians and their supporters. Mean-spirited, childish and willfully detached from reality, the whole lot of em. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  9. Uh, no. Not in the least. Why feel bad for a bunch of mean-spirited hypocrites who spend millions of tax dollars on what is obviously a political charade. If they're down, fuck 'em. I hope they lose big this time next year. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  10. How many times does a president and many members of his cabinet have to be clearly warned about an impending attack from the CIA and FBI before he can be faulted for it? It was communicated to him and various others in no uncertain terms that a big attack was imminent...and in the mayhem and bullshit that ensued, the administration's irresponsibility was swept under the rug. For this reason I'm glad it's being brought back up -- even if a turd like Trump is forcing the discussion for his own expedient reasons. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  11. I believe hell is freezing over -- second time in a week I agree with this wanker. It's about time someone said it, and I hope the topic gets more attention. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/10/did-george-w-bush-do-all-he-could-to-prevent-911/411175/ Well worth reading in its entirety. 12. They also said last month they've taken in 2.5 million over the course of this conflict. Which then begs the question: why would 2.4 million Arabic-speaking refugees leave such a wealthy Arabic-speaking state after being granted freedom of movement, residency and health care? I find this difficult to believe. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  13. It would be nice if that were in fact true -- where did you get that figure? I ask because I found no reports of this after doing a few searches. Thanks. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  14. I would never vote for this shitbag but for once I agree with him. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  15. A fine read: http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/the-evil-empire-of-saudi-arabia-is-the-west-s-real-enemy-a6669531.html Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  16. C'mon, he said the month of September some real tribulation is going to start. There are still a couple of hours left, have faith -- his prayers for destruction and mayhem might still come true. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  17. I'll bet Merkel has a very broad definition of what constitutes a "hate" post. I think it would apply to something as mild as "perhaps this is too many people, a bit too soon?" 18. If that's really what my name makes you feel like doing, then there's no disputing this -- as puzzling as it may be. The massive shit I can understand; it's the Miami part that I find perplexing. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  19. The way Boehner is written in German is Böhner -- the spelling with the oe is the de-Germanized version. The pronunciation of ö/oe is an o that approaches the sound of a "u," and doesn't resemble ay, ei or ey. His pronunciation of his name is a clear attempt to avoid the correct pronunciation -- which sounds like boner. Not taking a juvenile cheap shot, just stating a fact. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  20. Now that was not fair; you're German. Hmmm, Sabine; hmmmmm??????? Jerry Baumchen PS) I have always been told that the 'chen' was the diminutive, that is why it is 'little.' Yeah it means little tree, that's a pretty cool name. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  21. That's setting the bar fairly low. Then again, this is the modern condition of US politics...I guess that's a realistic starting point. On another note, I never understood why they pronounce his name "bayner" when it should clearly be pronounced "boner." There is no "ay" in "oe." Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  22. It's Germany that's stuck with this mass now, and Merkel is trying to impose it on the rest of Europe. I'm sure she'll start threatening less funds to force the issue. Anyhow, good luck with your wish to send them to the US -- probably won't happen for any more than 20-30 thousand. For the near future, this is largely Germany's problem...created by Germany. Egypt has taken in over 100,000. It's the wealthy Gulf states that are taking in next to none. However, Saudi Arabia have made a generous offer to build 200 mosques in Germany. German society is definitely going to change; this is indeed history in the making. I agree -- a good portion of this immigrating population will be extremely difficult to integrate, and it's not unreasonable or paranoid to assume there may be some ISIS/Al Qaeda element in this crowd as well. After all, most are coming from Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq. To quote Richard Dawkins: "Islamists ban music, dancing, women's faces, alcohol, women's legs, kite flying, women's arms. Why would they NOT try to ban Oktoberfest?" I think it's only a matter of time now. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  23. Back on topic... So nice to see Saudia Arabia helping out how they like. Careful what you wish for there, Merkel. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  24. I think they are completely overwhelmed with the situation. I also think that Merkels politics is generally reactionary and opportunistic. At the moment the Germans are feeling really welcommy towards all the refugees and without the major help of all the volunteers the whole thing would look way worse than it is. Merkel is using this for popularity. Now the powers that be are very scared that at a certain point the majority population will turn against the refugees and Merkel wants to on the one hand stop that from happening and on the other stop the really pissed off people from running to right wing partys. And you are completely right, the way the current refugee system is set up, it cannot handle that many people by a long shot. This will also lead to big conflicts within our society when integration fails miserably again. Thanks for the insight that we English speakers don't often get in our media. That's a point of view I haven't heard, and I've been reading a lot on the topic. Northern European countries tend to get a lot of things right -- but I don't think it will be long before Germans and Swedes regret being so welcoming. I mean, 1 MILLION refugees, and that's just the estimate for this year. This figure goes way beyond what the 1951 UN Refugee Convention intended to address. I see this situation as a deeply problematic one, on many levels. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  25. Maybe so, but this is a piss-poor way to get it done. No country is built to handle this many people coming in such a short time. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
