Yeah, the world's 4th biggest economy doesn't matter...anything for a jab, eh? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

What's this coming economic tsunami that you speak of? Honest question. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

He's just being a typical GOP politician: hating on the left, which is what the GOP does best. No real ideas, nothing innovative...just hate on "liberals" and you gain votes. Sad, really. Oh those evil socialists.... how dare they wish to have a better life for their people. Well.....it's also a very smart way to help their economy recover. You see when you are not worried to death of going hungry or loosing your house odds are you will continue to spend money to keep the economy going. Funny thing, my taxes there were 40% my taxes here in the US? Are about the same. So go figure? Such is life i guess. Seee there ya go... At least there you get something for your 40% Most of the rubes herre have not figured out they are not getting value for all the money they are paying for taxes so they wish to pay less.. until you tell them its going to cut into THEIR favorite way to get money.. Yes they do -- the value for the $$ that the rubes you speak of get is the ability to boast about how they can turn any other country into a parking lot, because we have the biggest and baddest nukes. And the largest number of them that taxpayer dollars can buy. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Thank you for your service, and for your informed response. I hope we bring you home and stop wasting money lining the pockets of the contractors that are overpaid to set up your crappy internet connection. And if you do need to serve again, I hope it's for a just cause that there will be little debate about. What should NOT go on top of a pizza.
masterblaster72 replied to JohnMitchell's topic in The Bonfire
mb, Since you have a boatload of no ways, What is your perfect pizza? Aside from my mother's homemade pizza: Pizza with bresaola (air-dried beef, similar to prosciutto), arugola, shaved parmesan and truffle oil. This is hard to find in the States though. Out of this world, and no tomato sauce or mozzarella needed -

masterblaster72 replied to JohnMitchell's topic in The Bonfire
Here is my pizza "hell no" list: Pineapple Ricotta cheese cheddar cheese anything barbequed chicken bacon ham steak pasta alfredo sauce (or any sauce with heavy cream) greasy, fake "mozzarella" cheese (an ingredient of 95% of American pizzas) onions cherry tomatoes I never heard of green beans (or any kind of beans) on a pizza until I opened this thread -- I'd add that to the list as well. What he said; this thread has made me feel very fortunate in just how nice the vast majority of my family is. I not only still talk to them, I like them. We get together -- and I'm including my in-laws and cousins in there, too, not just the siblings. Wendy P. Consider yourself fortunate then -- most people in this thread don't have that kind of luck. I've completely cut off some cousins and it's certainly for the better, and I keep my pops and sister at a distance and see them when I need to. My mother, on the other hand, is a tremendous person and we talk at least a couple times a week. I'm just wondering if the shoe was on the other foot, and Hollywood was heavily controlled by conservatives and biased against liberals, would all the liberals here still think it's no big deal? "Eh! It's only Hollywood!" What does this have to do with the right to bear arms? Stop beating around the bush and get to the point already. Losing the Jews: Obama dumped by big Dem donor
masterblaster72 replied to dmcoco84's topic in Speakers Corner
Is that what you take from this? I think you're smart enough to know that anyone in the oval office gets there because he has a price tag. And Obama telling Israel to go back to its 1967 borders is not reasonable or even remotely likely to happen. I think he knows that though, and his intention was to try gaining the favor of Muslim countries after taking out Osama in Pakistan. Exactly. The world doesn't revolve around the union jack Stars and bars anymore, and the UK US of A is not nearly as important as the OP anyone thinks it is. I agree with that too. If there's one thing Americans and the English have in common other than the language they speak, it's an unwarranted sense of self-importance. I'm not one of those Americans. Torture did NOT lead to finding Osama bin Laden

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/03/bushs-glib-waterboarding_n_599893.html Can we assume you're taking the "Waterboarding is not torture" stance ? You dont have to assume, I will verify that Unless you think we torture all of our SEALS I find it kind of hard to argue about That is illogical. I'll have you know that logic is every bit as important to rushmc as are spelling and grammar. The Bible and The Koran - ever read either??
masterblaster72 replied to Nataly's topic in Speakers Corner
I agree to a certain extent, though I think the ten commandments is one of the great ethical/philosophical achievements of ancient times. The 10 commandments were mostly ripped off from the Egyptians (Chapter 125 of the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead) and Babylonians. They pre-date the OT. Maybe we should revert to worshipping Ishtar, Tiamat, Apsu, Ra, Isis and Osiris. I google "Egyptian Book of the Dead" and it looks very interesting. I do see a lot of overlap with the commandments...should make for some good reading. Thanks. The Bible and The Koran - ever read either??
masterblaster72 replied to Nataly's topic in Speakers Corner
I've read King James (Christian Bible), Tanakh (Jewish version of Old Testament), and the Koran cover to cover, but a long time ago -- in my teens and in my early 20s. There's plenty of good to be taken from the Bible, depending on the attitude you take when reading it. You can find plenty of good in it, and plenty of bad, contradiction, etc. Some parts are worth reading from a literary perspective (psalms, proverbs, eccleciastes, etc), while some others can spark the imagination (revelation, for instance). I found the Koran very unoriginal and dry, and it was a chore to get through it. I didn't find anything in it that was particularly enlightening that would make it stand apart from Christianity or Judaism. And that's after having read it with an open mind -- no offense to any Muslims here; just my opinion. While I do hope the news is true, I shared the same sentiments when first reading this news. I would demand more proof before putting more credence in this story, and I find it somewhat strange that Bin Laden's body was disposed of at sea so quickly "in accordance with Islamic law." But of course, I do welcome the good news and hope more evidence follows. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Should Iran be Allowed to Produce Nuclear Weapons?
masterblaster72 replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup, I was unaware of this until I opened this thread, and my search turns up some shoddy sources -- nothing like PBS or BBC as you mentioned. Nevertheless, in light of Ahmadinejad's intentions, made known through his very provocative rhetoric over the years, I voted no in the poll.
