  1. Oh hell I wasn't talking about a autopilot for your main. If you need your AAD then either you are unconsious or you're a dumbass. __________________ BOOM Headshot
  2. The equipment evolution is incredibly interesting, was listening to skydive radio with bill booth on the other day and it was awesome to learn of how certain things (3 ring for example) came about. I think with GPS getting cheaper and cheaper, it's only a matter of time before they encoporate that into an alti. Then who knows guided aad that flies and steers for you? You may laugh but it's possible. __________________ BOOM Headshot

  6. Low jump numbers so take my advice with a pinch of salt. I recently did AFF and was wondering if tunnel time before jumping was a good idea. Most people here said it was a great idea. I did 20 minutes and it was hugely helpful, really gave me a lot of skills that would have been much harder to aquire at 13000 feet (for me at least). A friend that I did AFF with also did tunnel time, and neither of us failed a level. __________________ BOOM Headshot
  7. So far have only had half a line twist (that cleared itself as it was opening). Maybe I am lucky or maybe its my excellent body position, ok I am lucky
  8. Yeah, if I was asleep, my boss would complain __________________ BOOM Headshot
  9. Or if you like you could dive straight into a training program. Most people start out doing tandem as AFF (a training program where you jump with your own parachute but with 2 instructors) is a lot to deal with on the first jump. Still a lot of fun and gets you started on progression towards being a licenced skydiver. Just something to think about. __________________ BOOM Headshot

  16. Honestly I think you are getting a mile ahead of yourself. Take AFF, see how you get on with that first. Have fun jumping. You will probably love skydiving (hell I know its got me hooked), but you might not. You might find you don't want to jump camera, maybe you want to become a TI etc etc. Basically my point is that you need to learn to skydive well first. Personally I did AFF in the USA and loved every single second of it (I am from UK too). __________________ BOOM Headshot
  17. Friend of mine said that it shook the buildings around him, nothing special until you consider that he was 35 miles away
  18. www=WORLD WIDE web That's not rocket science, it means it can be read world wide by anyone. They either need to learn to keep their mouths shut, or blog anonymously. __________________ BOOM Headshot
  19. I haven't been around the skydiving scene to know the real truth behind how much smoking goes on. Hopefully I just haven't found it yet
  20. Friend of mine is going back to Z-Hills for the new year, unfortunately my funds are a little low, so its probably just gonna be some tunnel time to keep me happy. __________________ BOOM Headshot
  21. It depends very much on weight, if this person is 100lbs dripping wet, then a 170 is no problem at all. I am probably 220 out of the door and that 210 you are flying would be a little small for me. Personally I am gonna get at least 50 jumps on rental gear and find out what is suitable first. As always speak to your instructors __________________ BOOM Headshot
  22. A load I was on there was 1 person doing a 5k hopnpop out of an otter, just slid the door up, moved his feet out the door and kinda slipped out. To which the TM shouted "HOLY SHIT HE GOT SUCKED OUT", maybe you had to be there but I was laughing. __________________ BOOM Headshot
