Nice choice! But a little aggresive for a first bike. The Katanas are still a little much for a first bike but would be a better choice than the gxer's. The comparison would be like going from a 190 main to a 135 main after your first jump not a real wise decision. You definatly picked a kick ass bike though. Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!!

I currently have 1983 FXR harley davidson 1996 1200 custom sportster 1991 CR 250 sold my GXR 750 a couple years ago Buying the new BMW when it comes out!!!! If this was your first bike a smaller one would be a better fit for you. Be carefull out there I see new riders in the Emergency room all the time! Mostly guys thinking they are better riders then they actualy are but I have seen a couple girls in there as well. Be safe have fun!!! Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!!

Why do girls get so embarrased? Nips are fucking fantastic I love them! Big boobies or little boobies if the nips stick out then they are ten time better. Drinking while skydiving is a very bad mix in my opinion. Most places ,from what I have seen, will not let people drink until everyone is done jumping and the plane is put away. So water is a good way to go! I cant wait to see your post when you make your first AFF jump. SO Keep us posted and tell your DZ owners to pay the weather bill so you have nothing but blue skies!! Have fun be safe and skydive clothed if you want. Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!!

For sport parachutes, now, its Spectra. Yes, hard opening can be caused by a poor pack job, bad pody position, or a lot of other factors. That being said, what would have a been a hard opening under spectra could end up being quite mild with Dacron. Thanks for clearing that up. Spectra is less forgiving if you cause a hard opening but they do not cause the hard opening. Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!! -
Your exactly right!! Your instructors can give you way more insight and anything you learn in here you should check with your instructors first. You are getting ready for the time of your life, have fun, be safe and skydive naked!! Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!!

Obivously I know very little about micro lines and the thicker Dacron lines, be gentle. In fact until I searched the forums I called them the fat and skinny lines. What is better?? What is the differnce in the differnt sized canopy lines. What is the service needed to keep lines in good shape?? Probable dumb question for you up jumpers but I always say if you dont know ask. -
