  1. I am aware you keep saying this. And, still, until you are able to provide a single shred of something resembling supporting evidence, I will continue to call BS. Don't get me wrong, I am not claiming that no danger is posed to the US by any Muslim male. What I am saying is that there has not been evidence presented to support your assertions that: 1. Male Muslims pose the greatest threat to America, even in airports. And 2. Using Racial profiling will not decrease effectiveness of security measures already in place.
  2. Good for them. Harnessing 1% of the sunlight that hits the Earth would supply power for the entire world.
  3. Buying an iBook. I haven't had to boot up my Windows machine since, and I actually enjoy being on the computer now, online or off. One of the Mods (Tonto or Tom) said it best: Wireless + Laptop = Life Changing Technology
  4. From page 63: You are right, it is an interesting read, although I admit I have thus far only skimmed it.
  5. If I had wanted or intended to say that I would have. Please don't put words into my mouth, and reply to the comments I have made, instead of the ones you already have preformulated answers for. If you got that from my posts, I have no choice but to infer your reading comprehension skills leave significant room for improvement. I neither said nor implied any inferiority of any race with respect to another. In fact I have implied exactly the opposite. All I ask is for some evidence to support your assumption that middle-eastern men are more likely to pose a danger to citizens than any other group. With that, we could at least debate civil rights vs. safety, but you have yet to even reconcile your argument to show that it would not comprimise safety. Umm. I'm still waiting for you to counter a single point. And waiting. And waiting. You just keep believing that. I bet it is all a big conspiracy to take over the media, isn't it. FOX is the last "fair and balanced" source of news available in the world, right? See how "fair and balanced" this FOX News station was.
  6. Would you be so kind as to provide a link where you showed how the majority of terrorist were Muslim or middle-eastern? I must have missed the support for your argument.
  7. That is pretty old dietary advice (1000+ years), and based in what science now understands as fact. High carb foods and high protein foods are digested using different enzymes, which are counterproductive to one another. Separating your carbs from your proteins allows your body to obtain more energy from less food, by allowing a more complete digestion.
  8. Okay, if you'll try to provide a credible argument based on truth.
  9. You're must be right. Not being allowed to discriminate against minorities because of their race is rascist. You should consider a job with FOX News with that kind of spin ability. ROFLMFAO I'll ask again. Except race and religion, how are they different? The racial profiling proponents merely wish to treat them all as though they are. That is racism, no matter how you look at it. I can't believe there are so many racism apologists in this country. Again, police profiling based on a known description is not racial profiling (or height profiling, in your example). It is competent police work. On the other hand, if it is assumed that the culprit was a short blonde because there was a kidnapping, that would be "height and hair color profiling." Surely you can see the huge, obvious difference. I call it racist because it is. I'm still waiting for the first shred of evidence to support your allegation that middle eastern men pose the greatest threat to Americans. What? You still don't have any? Like I said, provide a tiny bit of evidence to support your argument. Thus far you have provided zero. You asked for some non middle-eastern terrorists, I provided you a short list from many, easily disproving your trolling claims.
  10. Let me add emphasis for you, to make it easier to comprehend. I'm not intentionally tring to confuse you. What is the point of stopping terrorism if not to promote lasting peace and international morality? You do prefer peace over violence, right? I'm still waiting for the first shred of evidence that a terrorist is more likely to be of middle-eastern descent than any other race. The conspicuous lack of facts on the part of the racial profiling proponents is quite telling of their lack of objectivity.
  11. Please read my posts before you respond to them! I never claimed to have a better understanding of racism than Jesse Jackson. Nor did I ever claim I knew anything about his views. "On the question of racial discrimination, the Addis Ababa Conference taught, to those who will learn, this further lesson: That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned: That until there are no longer first-class and second class citizens of any nation; That until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained" -- H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, October 4, 1963, adressing the UN I'm pretty sure He knew as much about racism as Jesse Jackson, and my views on the subject align with His quite well.
  12. Believe it or not, I am not the least bit concerned about Jesse Jackson's opinion of my view of racism. I am curious, however, how you were able to get ahold of him on such short notice to find out whether or not he agrees with me. Was it a phone call, or email? You've certainly surprised me. I had no idea you two were so tight. Now I'm not an FBI agent, but I the way I understood it was that serial killers tend to kill within their own race. So looking for a white guy because you have white victims is not the same as searching for a white guy because he is a serial killer.
  13. Profiling based on race is racism. It matters not who is doing the profiling, nor which is the targeted race. Jesse Jackson is free to disagree with me. I do not take my lead from him. I prefer to gather facts and think for myself.
  14. It is equally difficult to discuss racism with people who are in denial with regards to the definition. Yes. Yes, yes and yes.
  15. Nancy's suits are the highest quality freefly suits I have ever seen (although not the only high quality suit available). Also the most expensive, but you get what you pay for.
  16. At what time were all whites searched before they went into a federal building, as you assert?
  17. Read again. I've only offered one definition of racism in this thread. It did not mention Hispanics, whites or Novas. Please read my posts if you are going to respond. Okay, I'll give you two differences. Race and religion. Which is exactly why profiling for Islamic Middle eastern men is totally and completely absurd. It doesn't catch anyone who does not fit that profile. American terrorists have the potential to be as deadly as Syrian terrorists. Your implication that they somehow pose a smaller threat to us is ludicrous, at best. You, or anyone else, has yet to provide a single shred of evidence that middle-eastern males pose a greter terrorist threat than anyone else. Sure, some have been terrorists, but not as many as the other races. Racist rhetoric is not evidence. First, one is, by definition racist. The other, by definition, is not. They are not the same thing. If you don't like affirmative action, contact your legislators. Second many Americans, such as our forefathers, placed liberty far above safety. It is really sad that anyone be as scared as you appear to be of terrorism, but that is still no justification to suspend the civil rights of others.
  18. I still believe you are trolling, but just in case... Racism n. Discrimination or prejudice based on race. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=racism I'm sorry if you do not like the word. It is simply the most concise synonym for racial profiling I have found. Not a single one of the people I mentioned is of middle eastern descent. They are not even all men. Racial profiling would not have caught any of them. The two that don't have blood on their hands? They were caught before they carried out their plan. But by the size of the various weapons in their cache, they were some pretty serious plans. If carried out they could have been the deadliest ones on the list, except maybe Bosch, with his Presidential pardon. He may have kept his top spot. What became of his champions, you might wonder? Who persuaded George Sr. to pardon him? Well, Jeb Bush is now serving his final term as Florida Governor, and he appointed Raul Cantero III, Bosch's attorney, to the Florida Supreme Court. Of course, we could find many other examples of terrorism by non-middle eastern descent. They're not rare, relatively speaking. Why would I assume an 86 year old poses less of a terrorist threat than a 21 year old? Old does not mean feeble. If she had a beef with someone and was going to resort to violence, I suspect she would be just as capable as a 21 year old, and probably a bit wiser. I wouldn't search her more or less thoroughly than the guy. Why would I? I would be far more concerned with the behavior of a person as they anticipate and/or experience a search than I would be with the color of their skin.
  19. QuoteIt was a bad idea in the '70s for gas, a bad idea in 2000 for CA electricity markets, and it's just as bad an idea today. The choice you will be faced with is not $3.00 gas vs. $2.39 gas, but rather $3.00 gas vs. no gas. Quote I don't think this is the first time Hawaii has done this. I remember reading a newspaper article about it a ways back. If it didn't work out so bad last time, perhaps they know better what they are doing than we mainlanders do. Having spent two years in Hawaii, I would say, state or not, it's a whole different country. (Not a bad thing) Having lived on other islands, as well, I know that things that work on an island won't necessarily work on a large mainland, and vice versa. Things are just, well, different.
  20. He gave the English spelling instead of the American spelling. They are often different.
  21. Okay, can't resist. D.B. Cooper Timothy McVeigh Eric Rudolph Theodore Kaczynski William Krar Judith Bruey Orlando Bosch (pardoned by President Bush, the elder) Just to name a few. You don't really buy into that BS rascist nonsense, do you? You're really just trolling, right?
  22. That is not racial profiling. That is eliminating anyone who does not fit the known description. Now, on the other hand, If the cops say, "we've had a kidnapping. I bet it was a bunch of Hispanics," that would be racial profiling. Or, if the cops say, "we are expecting a possible terrorist attack. Be on the lookout for males of middle eastern descent, age 15-60," that would be racial profiling. Using a description of a known perp that includes race is not racial profiling.
  23. Which do you think is more effective? Banning zippo lighters and nail clippers and searching 80 year old Texan medal of honor winners, or paying a little more attention to people who fit a profile (of which race, nationality, ancestry, religion and other things are a part)? Timothy McVeigh was a white American war hero.
