    my setup will be NX1000 + 16mm & CX100 + Raynox0.3x Samyang NX 8mm is closest to GoPro set to wide, it also has similar fisheye distortion, but i think this setup will be too wide for tandems or anything outside formation except some very creative shots from very close distance. i would personally use Samsung NX 16mm and GoPro set to narrow (you should have a bit wider picture than these shooting with Canons + kit lens and video should have less distortion) or take Samsung NX 12-24 if you plan to use GoPro with narrow and also middle field of view. my pictures

    do you mean Canon N3 or some other Nikon connector? (N3 is connector for Canon 1D, XD, XXD (except 60D) ranges and is always angled) which camera do you have or how many pins have it's connector? my pictures

    i am making these boxes on demand and can also supply lens adapter. especially for sidemount i can see some issues with handstrap/usb connector and hypeye connector covering door, they would probably need to be removed. i don't see any significant difference between CX-100 -150 and these new cameras*, i wouldn't be afraid to buy used from ebay if there are pictures of actual item posted. * i mean CX-190 -200 -210, CX-250 -260 -270 have progressive scan which is significant difference for me my pictures

    my Odyssey 2002 which seems to have all available options (not ordered by me) has what i believe is called "quilted backpad", it sure adds some comfort... (it is something like parapack with diamond-shaped rip-stop, not that mesh fabric used on spacer foam) my pictures

    one more detail, at least some cameras (CX-100(E), 105(E), 106(E), 120) have PAL/NTSC switch inside, check repair manual page 8 (download here), it is also visible on pic 4, 5, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 27 here. my pictures

    Sony's HDR-CX models with V or no suffix are NTSC models, models ending with E (including VE) are PAL models. (check here in my Sony camcorders overview) for HD cams there is no difference in resolution, only in scanning frequency (60i NTSC / 50i PAL). there is one exception in their 2012 lineup, CX-260V has 60p/i and 24p scanning modes, CX-260E/VE offers only 50p/i (no 24p/25p). my pictures

    Nikon D5100 is 128x97x79 (mm), closest is Canon 1100D (Rebel T3) 130x100x78 or maybe Canon 600D (Rebel T3i) 133x100x80 the rest of canons have shorter grip (65 and less) my pictures

    don't know about new range but there is comparison with sony NEX, panasonic MFT and samsung NX somewhere over internet and they considered NX as worse of them (not saying completely bad or non-usable) i am using EX-F1 "still camera" for video and i personally like it's output (using 1280x720x30p) better than from sony CX-1XX my pictures

    i am only saying experienced cameramen often change their lens to 15mm or 10-22mm and there are some options for MFT Olympus 9-18mm check video here my pictures

    MFT has crop factor 2,0 wouldn't it be a bit too narrow? each mm means a lot on wide and... i am putting my hopes into newest samsung NX cameras: NX 20 NX 210 NX 1000 and their wideangle pancake NX 16mm 2,4 my pictures

    does it lag the same way when you use camera button or only with remote? there is also "active D-lighting" feature on nikon cameras which slows picture processing, check if turning it off will help. my pictures
