Ok, I did get it right *yay* Just givin' ya a hard time about the beer..considering we had more beer than people to drink it - frightening, no? It would have gone to waste. I landed out on Load 3 actually - was the only flat flier - funny thing was, I was hanging out the door to confirm the spot - wow, did I ever drift, gotta do a bit more spotting practice with crankin' uppers for 16K+ exits. Me? Umm, seems everyone thinks I'm someone else - 6'1, dark hair, ~185, runs around in that piece of junk kraut ragtop - we were talking about you wanting to get your 'B' before the start of the 'official' season and the style set requirement. The guys definitely brought new meaning to fire as art. Tom, as in tall Tom with goatee, who runs around with one of his jumpsuits the same colour as monster puke? *heh* Or a different Tom?

Umm, let me peer into the crystal ball - glasses, looking for a 'B', and showed up with only 1 case to the Saturday inferno (man was that a serious inferno they had goin' on)? So who picked ya up afterwards? - I ended up over there next to the highway on load 3 after b-tchin' line twists kept me busy down to 2K. A jumper from SDC by the name of Marv, I think, that lives next to the field I landed in, came and fetched me. It would be funny if he spent the weekend collecting people. Be careful on the east side of that river, the a few of the locals are like extras from 'Deliverance' and might be itchin to try thier rendition of 'Squeal like a pig boy!'.

"Maybe I should keep the 109...I just know this is the year I'll finally get down to 100 pounds and look just like Ally McBeal...bwahahaha!" -Like a skeleton with hair?

"Are you mocking me? I am the Great Cornhollio." Just couldn't resist! :)

Anybody else check out tonights Temptation Island 2? *heh* Where else could one find 20-something exotic dancer chicks who fold themselves into a pretzel while wearing a thong and like to jump out of aircraft. Sign me up!

Gotta do the obligitory yearly 'spend a week visiting the g/f's family' in Febuary, again - since her folks only speak Spanish and Mandarin, and I can only cover English and French - it usually doesn't take long before g/f and I are off travelling the country. Anybody know of any DZ(s) that might be down there, there appears to be nothing listed here nor with the USPA. Or is it just a matter of getting a pilot drunk on enough hooch, and pray he doesn't mess your directions up so bad that he puts you out over a 1,000 acre croc preserve?

The Frozen Cheddar Curtain now. Watched a Domino's pizza delivery boy slide his heap right into the rear of another car last night - he actually called up the pizza joint to have some one picked up the pies to make sure they made it on time (the backup delivery guy made it there before the police), gotta say I was impressed. *heh*

Maybe the bandwidth nazi's/propellarheads at his place of work tracked him down and asked him to explain the $10,000+ T1 bill they got this month based on his 'alternate use of internet privedges' to dz.com? "So Mr. Anderson..."

Its days like this that I wonder why I didn't get a form of transportation that was more winter friendly - then again, the thought of pitching a tent in this weather ain't all that enticing. Hmm decisions, decisions - hitch hike and freeze to death under a piece of nylon tarp, or sit home, warm and looking at the sky, going - why the heck am I stuck down here?

One thing I noticed with my Jav Oddsy was that the soft reserve pad differs from the cut away handle - the cutaway is a thicker, 'squishy' pad whereas the reserve handle is thinner and more 'rigid'. I think the thick cutaway handle would be much easier to grip (easier to dig the fingers into) than the reserve handle - So my question to Javelin - why the different soft handles for cutaway and reserve?

Be careful though - especially with programming positions, if the interview is a phone one, you can more or less get away with fudging, but if in person - that could kill your chances - I got stuck with interviewing college interms once, one of whom claimed he knew the Windriver Tornado IDE to the ends of the earth and back and worked with it for some time (any college kid who claims to know Tornado and VxWorks always gets a raised eyebrow from me) - so I tossed him in my office and asked him to start it up and generate a simple Hello World, project and all, add it to the workspace and have it piggy back off the vxWorks image already downloaded to the board - from scratch (fairly trivial, especially if you don't have to include a BSP into the project). Let us just say he might have stood a chance if he simply said he didn't have experience with Tornado. Some interviewers are jerks, especially when that money earmarked for a new hire could also be used for raises at the end of the year if no suitable hire is found ;) I remember the good old days, I doubt you even needed a pulse back in '97 and Nortel would have taken you with no questions asked. :)

I like da way U think, yup, uh huh, sure do :)

Yeah, like in those new Lexus Commericals.. Where can I get parents like that, what's the exchange policy on my folks?

Another news article mentioned the sedatives were stored on the plane, I guess they are standard issue in First Aid kits on International flights? But g/f once ripped into one once out of curiousity and didn't find anything other than the normal, asprin, bandages, etc. *shrug*

Tell me about it - this is the second weekend in a row the weather has been utter crap around around here. :(
-
Hell, I'd be willing to do that for them, and charge only $10 a ride ;) (Sorry it was just asking to be said).

Had this one called 'Imperial' from Costa Rica, not all that bad - reminded me somewhat of Canadian Beer - prob explains why all the Canucks flock there in the winter.
-
Do they serve it any other way? Oh yeah, that's right, Yanks and cold beer, I forgot ;)

I saw a few folk drinking those a Pat McCurdy Show (it's a Mid-West thing) with Pat on stage. Somehow it just doesn't seem quite right. Not much of a whiskey person, now Screech mind you, different story (it's a Newfoundland dark rum, almost as dark as Guinness) *heh*
-
Wow. Now I feel h'edumacated!
-
You must have drank a serious load of it then? ;) Since it's only like 4% alchohol - it's one of the lowest calorie non-light beers you can get - ironicly, Corona is one of the highest (useless info). Went through 3 pitchers of Guinness one night and managed to make into work shortly after noontime the next day (certainly didn't look nor feel too purty though). I just hate seeing people water it down with some other 'lighter' swill, just defeats the purpose. *heh*
-
And who plays the 'Gimp'?
-
Isn't Black and Tan sumthin' drank by people who don't have the stomach for real Guinness? I don't see why anyone would want to water down a fine Irish strout :)
-
Guess it all depends on who is in office over those next 10 years? *heh*
