Wow! I learned how to make a Big Mac, my day is complete.
  2. If you mena up north like in Vancouver, they don't have winter - they have rainy season and rainier season *heh*
  3. No clue, but can someone find me an insurance policy to take out on the individual in question that won't rule jumping under something that small consitutes suicide?
  4. All they had to do was send him some Clearasil, and that would have solved all thier problems.
  5. Define 'slight misflare'. Flare too soon, too late, tried to run off too much forward speed? Been eyeing one of these to try out later in the year, so if it has certain nuances/quirks, better know sooner than later, eh? Mucho Thanx!
  6. Actually ours was, "Don't molest the pilot". She was a rather cute little 20 something with red hair and freckles. Yummy.
  7. Semi-neat freak actually. The benefit of having a mother who was an Armed Forces officer and a father who was an RCMP officer. The old ones are all piled on the kitchen counter, and the newest ones are on my desk here at the office. Hmm, let me see, Parachutist, Panorama, Christophorus, Excellence (car rags), and auto parts catalogues from Tweeks and Performance Products. They're there, just hiding *heh*
  8. Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree it's advanced. But at least from what I understand - it is current production technology that is massively tuned to it's application. And I think that is part of the appeal of the sport - again, from what I understand of the sport - the laws on what can be changed on the car limits the arms race mentality that has gotten a hold of the openwheel racers with regard to such things as engine development and modification. It kind of reminds me of GT class enduro racing.
  9. Gawd, that episode with Ms. Ellen cracked me up to no end.
  10. I dunno, I think the Monster Truck thing is more 'Yank' - especially with those 'Sunday Sunday SUNDAY!' commericals. The whole event is staged around big trucks crushing little cars - there is something quite American about that *heh* Especially if viewed in a geo-political light? Slightly (ok quite) off topic: Though the whole go fast, turn left, go fast turn left thing with NASCAR fails to excite me - I gotta admit they know how to market it and the drivers generally come across as decent people - compared to CART/F1/IRL etc where the drivers seem rather snobbish and unless you have a degree in advanced automotive engineering, the technology they use in the cars comes across as Star Trek technobabble. And someone explain to me the point of NASTRUCK? Just kidding *heh*
  11. I'll check and get back to you after work. Bought it to get mud stains out of the mats in the car (gotta have priorities) , and it dawned on me, if it works on the mud in the rugs - it should work on the dirt in the carpet. Does a pretty decent job, dunno about pet stains, but I'll dig up the name.
  12. Discovered this cleaner like the stuff they use for drycleaning, works wonders on carpets - and you get super stoned too *heh*
  13. Hmm, ok - Criteria for 'looking American' 1) overweight 2) loud 3) obnoxious 4) gun-toting 5) carrying a copy of either a) Penthouse, b) Hustler, or c) Soldier of Fortune. Can do. "Lord loves a hangin'!"
  14. Maybe they should start organizing towel burning demostrations here - like the Middle Eastern nations have flag burning demonstrations?
  15. "...new looking flag for the ceremonies. That shows the rest of the world that the US is back, better then ever and kicking everyones ass! " Let me guess, something along the lines of a booted foot stomping down on an Arab head, perchance?
  16. And remember, nothing beats a good cliff, rubber boats and velcro gloves to keep 'em in just the right spot.
  17. Cannon S110 - one of the guys from the office is a huge photography buff and recently switched to digital - so I got the advice from him on suggested models. Gotta say, he knows how to pic 'em. It's got a partial steel shell for the inevitable drop. Though, as I explained to the guy at BestBuy when he tried to pitch the service plan/rip off - if I drop this, it most likely will be out the door at 13K - ain't no service plan in the world gonna save this puppy if that happens.
  18. Thank you *grin* I had no say in the colours at all - one of the girls in ActiveWear, Kelly (one of our crew from Madison) said, "You will get these colours in this pattern.". Only one comment, with the diamondback fabric - you better be able to consistently standup landings, cause it the goes to crap rather quick if you can't.
  19. Reserve repack is due the beginning of next month. So I will find out just how hard it really is - otherwise, just pawing at it, reviewing an emergency - I can get a rather good death grip on it and peel it away smoothly - feels like they have a metal ring inside the handle to help the fingers snag on something. It uses the same peel and pull motion as the cutaway. I'm ok with it - I know alot of people are not - sort of like RSL/nRSL debate.
