Toilet Ice Rips Hole in Couple's Roof Saturday, October 21, 2006 7:57 AM EDT The Associated Press CHINO, Calif. (AP) — An elderly couple believe a chunk of blue ice from the holding tank of an aircraft toilet ripped a hole in their roof and destroyed a bed. William McElroy was watching a movie with his wife, Evelyn, when the ice crashed into the house Wednesday night. It was a huge crash. It shook the whole building, but we thought it was a car," McElroy said. The couple went outside to investigate but found nothing, so they returned to finish watching the movie. They didn't discover the chunk of ice on the bed and the 2-foot-wide hole in the ceiling until Thursday morning. "I think we had somebody extra looking over us," Evelyn McElroy said. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said Thursday if the offending chunk of ice is from an airplane, then it is likely the cause of a leak in a holding tank of the aircraft's bathroom. Blue ice occurs when waste leaks from a plane's bathroom onto the outside of the plane and freezes at high altitudes. The liquid begins to thaw as the plane descends, Gregor said. Food at Starved Rock Lodge isn't bad either and reasonably priced...but for State Parks with good food it is Giant City Lodge hands down...that place has food that makes people drive 2 hrs to have dinner, especially Sunday all you can eat family style chicken...wow is it good and extremely cheap. (Giant City State Park may be the most beautiful place in the entire state.) I wondered if I had left Illinois or something. In Louisville KY go to Lynns Cafe!!! And in Chattanooga go to the Mount Vernon Resturant.....mmmmmm we need a drooling Emote

If anyone is ever near Chicago do not eat in chinatown, go to Yu's Mandarin on golf road in Schaumberg Illinois...the food is way better there and the even critics agree.

The only time I ever had halfway decent curry I went to a restaurant owned by the brother in law of a Gujarati friend of mine. His words in cear english to his brother in law was " Make us some vindaloo and don't fuck it up like you do for everyone else" Still I have no idea why they cook differently here. I was also at a Chinese place in Manchester and the food was good but entirely too sweet and not spicy enough. I asked the owner why there was a difference and he said to suit the local taste. He said if he made it like it should be he would lose business but he could not understand why the Indian takeaways do so well with selling much spicier foods.

I wonder why people feel that they can compel a private business owner to serve anyone. It is a perversion of our constitution to tell us that we cannot choose whom to work for. There is no law in this land that says any business owner has to serve anyone if they choose not to. It is a personal choice and the antidiscrimination suits have failed to prove otherwise in many cases. What do you think of Hooters having gay male servers dressed just like the waitresses? What about a bar owner refusing to serve a person known to be a violent trouble maker? What about a child care center not wanting to serve the needs of a convicted child molester, who wants to have their child served by that establishment?
