    Why should it? Twin bore for rabbits on the farm? Fine. Remington .870 magnum? Sure why not? Air rifle for vermin control? Fine. M16A2 with a nice scope?Very Fine. The problem will always be their misuse. From kids shooting old men playing bowls, to the multi-million dollar arms trade, to gangsta rapper type dickheads, to your next door neighbour who unfortunately went a bit mental and murdered 16 children at the local primary school.

    Clearly you are tryng to foist the blame on Katrina, but (a) the stats are not for 2005, (b) even before Katrina, Houston's homicide rate was higher than Chicago's. I assume you have seen Houston's population in person. Kinda reminds me of Memphis and East St.Louis.

The guy who did that was a warped mean spirited sicko who derived pleasure from hurting an innocent defenceless animal just for amusement. I don't think that doing the same to him could compare on the basis of cruelty, since he would at least be aware of why it was happining ( and if he had a brain he would realise he deserved it). The dog was innocent and did nothing to bring such a horrible attack upon himself. Damn! I Hate when they attribute these things to me. I would never do such a thing. I would however, torture an animal abuser, No Problema.

    Um dude, in war winning IS everything. Unless you are satisfied with the outcome of coming in second. NO, winning by way of paying teh piper later on is a superficial victory. Japan won the South Pacific, but lost the rest. Germany won the invasion of Austria, Poland and others, but lost the grand war. So we win some little invasion, but the world gets sick of us and wipes our asses; did we win? The world cuts us off (embargo), did we win? In order to win, you nust actually win for a while, not just today. We started the atomic/nuclear era, I'll tell you if we won in the future. Oh, gee how quaint.

    It is not a case of knowing what she is talking about...It is about acting Rambo. Also, you don't know my history or my skill sets. So, while I can agree that some action could be required, the "I would flatten the muthafuckas that were trying to shoot at me." Is EXACTLY why this situation turned the way it did. Someone thought they were Rambo and started trying to "flatten" the others. Except the others killed them. Damn I was hoping you would deliver a dissertation to me on the proper use and execution of mobile force protection.

    I'm not saying it a was failure, just could have been handled diffeently. Winninf isn't everything, the way you win is also important.     I have stated what I would do.. that is to put distance using my car or truck in my case to put distance between me and the men with guns who are NOT identified as being police.. Even though I do carry ... AND I do have a CCP.... I would STILL try to put distance between them and me....THat my dear is not being BADDASS. THAT is being prudent in that situation. Now by all means PLEASE enlighten us all to what YOU would do.... DaVinci, please accept that Jean knows what she is talking about in this case. OK?

    Truman was definately a paradox in modern terms of being a politician, he wasn't really one. His foreign policies including blind support of the French goverment, which was becoming more anti american by leaps and bounds. It is almost as if the Vichy won.

    Soldiers know what they are fighting for, and its f**k all to do with politics and everything to do with the man covering your back. Yep Jamille, but they will just never understand us. Maybe they just don't want to. I think most soldiers just don't give a shit if they never do, me included.

    My guess would be he's an attention whore. That was a joke, as in I am faking having joint problems (five surgeries on one knee alone). Honestly I have seen some that seem to be that way but I may be wrong, how can anyone tell what someone else feels? I saw a show once that had a graveyard with a headstone that said " I told you I was sick! ".
