Cassius Clay is definately not a patriot. Doing something such as dodging the draft and missing a few fights while in jail was definately not patriotic. Yeah he was soooo opressed, being wealthy and using race as an excuse to not serve when called was disgraceful to all americans, and all american soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines, and a huge insult to all of those who served, and were black. A Tuskeegee Aiman, he was not. I guess some people thought Eddie Slovak was a Patriot as well. In fact, Slovak may have been a braver man.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank freethefly and anyone else who has served this country. We may have our differences, but I will be the first to admit, that at least he did serve. Now on to calling me a coward, or an armchair commando. Does anyone really think that of me and if so what are those ideas based upon? What would I have to do for an encore to prove my devotion to my country, and to my fellow countrymen? Should I have died from the injuries I incurred while serving? Would that have been enough? It's probably a more effective letter when you actually refer to the proper name of the bill, being the "NICS Improvement Amendments Act of 2007," and then go on to say what you think it is meant to do. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov asked the Kremlin to dissolve his government, Russian news agencies reported, with less than three months remaining before parliamentary elections.
