  1. When you see pollution giving a brownish haze over a large city you are seeing airborne particulates refracting the light of the sun. CO2 is colorless. So are many of the polluting gases.
  2. Just sarcasm. I would wager that there are a few Professor Emeritus(Emeritae?) that are far more qualified than many of their colleagues.
  3. Very nice! The only one to top that was some guy posting here had a Hughes 500 helicopter sitting in his driveway, somewhere in Texas, IIRC. Does it have a GE-134?
  4. I hear UNO's is the shit...in a good way It's ok, believe it or not there is better to be had in Chicago. And Geno's East sucks ass.
  5. Well Bill, maybe you should get Dr. Gray on the phone and straighten him out ASAP. After all he is merely Emeritus, not like the real scientists you believe in (Al Gore)
  6. I think THAT is the point, the Haymarket riot hangings were an anti-worker, anti-union deterrent orchestrated by the city bosses. Any ethnic association was incidental. Oh ok, please tell us all what ethnic backgrounds the men who were executed were from? I will give you a hint, they were not Irish, English, nor Scots. The prevailing forces of that time were only too glad to hang those of Italian and or German decent. Back then being Italian was probably one of the worst offenses one could be accused of. Oh and before Kallend makes a joke of that, please recall who I am, and who my relatives are/were.
  7. Jellified Eel and Mashed. I mean look at the name and tell me you wanna eat that shit. It would be like having Gefilte Fish pudding. I like Eel smoked, but jellfied in aspic?......FUCK NO.
  8. But don't the liberals have control of the education system? Yes, unless you consider men like Professor John Kallend to be conservatives.
  9. He is merely dismissive of the anecdotes due to the identities of the authors.

  11. I was wrong about the date, there were workers protests, and someone threw a bomb, the men who were tried were innocent, but were hung anyways. I will try and find that story. I guess the masses needed to be taught a lesson.
  12. I can tell you that several people from the groups you mentioned were hung in public in Shitcago in the early 1920's Marshall Field made sure of it.
  13. Dan, can I have your ammo? Pretty please? There are a few misc parts I need as well. H2 Buffers, Mags, etc. Hey I have several of Colt's children to feed and clothe
  14. Sounds like a commercial Borat should be narrating.
  15. Douglas, the things yuo mentioned were right on, but would require the OP to read and comprehend.
  16. Nice dodge. Try comprehending a bit more, your former professors deserve a bit more effort. If you care to, I can drive you through the nearby section 8 housing and show you how they live. Expensive SUVs with 10k of add ons, expensive clothing, 200 dollar sneakers, booze bottles strewn across the area, along with burnt spoons and glass pipes. I hope you like what the current welfare system created. When my own mother was diagnosed with a fatal illness in the late 1980's she was turned down for welfare and food stamps, so she got into her used 1976 chevy caprice, and went home. It took her two years of appeals in order to get help, meanwhile every time she went back to the office she was amazed at the new caddillacs and expensive attire of the welfare recipients. The woman who originally denied her benefits, was only too glad to point out to my mom that white ladies don't need help.(take your white ass out of my office, were her words) Take that experience and decide for yourself how great the welfare system is. The people that truly deserve help are the last ones to receive it. I believe some people truly deserve help, and the rest shold be strung up in public for being thieves that would take food, and medicine out of the mouth of those who need it the most.
  17. Well, I guess you and I have a basic disagreement, because I think that caring for its TRULY needy members is a function of the government of a civilized state. We relied on philanthropy during the great depression. Didn't work. I guess you are too young to know. I have paid something like $750,000 (2007 dollars) in federal taxes alone over the last 30 years, and I've not asked anyone to pay for me or my family. I have no problem AT ALL with my taxes going to help the truly needy.Quote John I would say there is a very high probability that most of that $750,000 you paid in taxes was wasted in several way. Graft and inefficiency in government, waste on programs that are just plain stupid or managed so poorly that most all of the programs budget goes to administrative costs instead of reaching the ones it is designed to serve. I would also say the probability is even higher that most social welfare programs are rife with corruption and fraught with welfare cheats who have become very skilled at defrauding the system and in fact they survive in a culture where they coach each other on how do cheat the system most effectively.
  18. Here is a junk email I received, the general idea of this letter has some merit to it. Please read and decide for yourself if some of this isn't true.
  19. why are hotdogs not called lips, asses and ears sausage?
  20. [bob euchre voice] Ouch, that one is gonna hurt tomorrow[/bob euchre voice]
  21. This reminds me of the "Arsenal" a guy in NY was busted with by an assualt on his house. The cops were grandstanding about the bust and it turns out it was all airsoft. And the cops did not even know the difference
  22. if it is "That Eye" someone must be thinking about you. Or you really have to go
