You can customize the hell out of that saiga, go for the 18"bbl, and have the muzzle threaded for a FS/Brake. You are correct, one of the best AK style rifles made was the Hungarian MAC 90, it has the ability to use AK mags, and the thumbhole stock was actually nice, it was ergonomically correct for most americans as the stock was thick at the grip, which works best with larger hands. Stay away from rifles where the people were of smaller stature, unles you have girly hands. I sold mine, but not because it wasn't an excellent rendition of a Kalashnikov, but rather that I did not shoot it often. I put the money towards a Benelli M1 Tactical, with surefire, and a rifled slug bbl. In actuality I would not mind purchasing it back as I sold it for only $450.00 including a scope mount and 18 magazines. But it is in good hands as it stayed with "The family" Let's face it, it isn't like I don't have a "few rifles"
