If this is a slippery slope, I suspect there is a pungi pit at the bottom. -
I was thinking the same

You can customize the hell out of that saiga, go for the 18"bbl, and have the muzzle threaded for a FS/Brake. A picatinny railed dust cover is nice for adding a holosight Look at Tromix.com for ideas, in fact Tony Rumore is quite helpful and forthcoming with tips. He is so busy modifying them he doen't have the time to take too many more orders. Also remember, that being a Texan, you can have a SBS, with select fire capabilty, or any other NFA firearms if you file the paperwork, and pay for the tax stamp. Beware, NFA FA stuff eats alot.

You are correct, one of the best AK style rifles made was the Hungarian MAC 90, it has the ability to use AK mags, and the thumbhole stock was actually nice, it was ergonomically correct for most americans as the stock was thick at the grip, which works best with larger hands. Stay away from rifles where the people were of smaller stature, unles you have girly hands. I sold mine, but not because it wasn't an excellent rendition of a Kalashnikov, but rather that I did not shoot it often. I put the money towards a Benelli M1 Tactical, with surefire, and a rifled slug bbl. In actuality I would not mind purchasing it back as I sold it for only $450.00 including a scope mount and 18 magazines. But it is in good hands as it stayed with "The family" Let's face it, it isn't like I don't have a "few rifles"

Build a Saiga 12ga. instead, they share many of the same features as an AK, and are actually quite nice, if you aren't staring at the wrong end!

Should Europe and the rest of the world disarm the USA

How very uncivil. I did state that those would possibly be the REACTION to the entire world ganging up on us in order to render us defenseless. -
I coined a new word today, it describes those individuals afflicted with a rare personality disorder that forces them to ask for such things as an AR10 Chambered in .308win with a 10"bbl

You are completely WRONG. The premise was that you were in favor of the entire world disarming the USA, so please do tell why you would want that, and what you think might happen as an aftermath if the effort worked. -

Sounds like the decendants of those who chose to appease Hitler are alive and well, they skydive, and now post here on DZ.com Maybe they think somehow they were magically saved by wishing things were different. -

Dark ages lasted from 476 to 1000 AD. Sounds pretty stable eh? Famine was caused by the Roman Empire? Oh and you think the plauges and famine that reduced human population by a third were the result of the Roman empire? How about human civilization, road building, waste eradication, and proper water resource management coming to a screeching halt? Does that seem more like the truth? -

We don't even need to attack, how do you not realize that? Like it or not, your existances are tied to the continued prosperity of the USA. -
We could always tell them to fuck off, just like many other countries do. They call that debt forgiveness when they refuse or cannot pay the USA.

Well, if we suspended all payments of debts, and actually cut off all economic aid, the world would starve, we might not even fire a shot. -

It is not being a bully, just stating what we would be forced to do. And as for things not being the same as WWII, not a great student of history are you? Minor things change, but the scenario remains the same, you would have to come after us. Unless you think you can drag our continent closer. Or that Canada, would decide to oppose us, they might be liberal, but not completely daft.
