  1. Note - the will of the constituents is not always in line with the Constitution. Furthermore, a person who openly says that he/she will go with the Constitution over their will won't get elected. All the aforementioned has it's place in the rule of law, and in the excecute branch, as well as the legislative. It is not an either or propostion, but rather it demands that both be observed. (constitution taking precedence) unless there is legistalition repealing the amendment in question.
  2. An attempt to harm or kidnap any person should be dealt with with all the force that one can summon. To kidnap a soldier is an act that will result in physical resistance by those personnel, and any other force the military can produce. I never said that the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, or Marines would harm someone without due cause. They are governed by the UCMJ, and will act in accordance. The protesters will not.
  3. You speak untruths, wave a cage? Or show up fully intending on kidnap and imprisonment of US Military personnel... BTW if you think this is all harmless and that it would make the protester a hero, go join them.
  4. You have a very loose interpretation of what a hero is. Thanks, maybe you should call websters and straighten them out.
  5. Is trespassing with criminal intent against the law, and in fact a felony when it is on federal property? Is vandalism of federal property a crime at all in your mind? Is announcing plans to capture, kidnap, and imprison US Military personnel all fun and games to you, or is it a real crime with real consequences.? Is occupying federal property, something all the "cool kids" are doing these days? IS all that OK with you? I bet it is, or you would not have taken a position stating what you have in your last post. Well at least we now know what you consider the moral higher ground.
  6. Pretty lame Bill, did you miss the fact that they announced their plans? Here I will repost it so even you can read it. On Wednesday, March 19, POG will be holding a torch-lit march to a modern day castle of abominations—our local military recruiting station. If the station remains open, we intend to evict it and everything inside of it, occupy the location, and transform it into something useful for the community. We'll also be bringing a movable cage in which to confine military recruiters until they no longer pose a danger to our friends and neighbors.
  7. I see a problem that some self loathing white folks are far too eager to give Obama a pass, and conclude that he is telling the truth that he has never heard his pastor utter racist remarks. Hmmm.....never heard them but yet that pastor has been doing exactly that for over 20yrs. Obama says he embraces that pastor, attends that church, and continues to worship there. How about another quote from the Pastor? "Hillary never had a cab whizz past her and not pick her up because her skin was the wrong color. Hillary never had to worry about being pulled over in her car as a black man driving in the wrong… I am sick of Negroes who just do not get it! Hillary was not a black boy raised in a single-parent home. Barack was! Barack knows what it means to be a black man livin’ in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people! Hillary can never know that!" Yep Barak Obamas poor single mom had to raise him with his POS father who skipped out on him. That has to be the fault of white america, because they forced Baraks dad to flee hi parental obligations. The problem is that Baraks mom is white, so who left here struggling with a son as a single parent without any support? His father!!! I will say it again in case it does not sink in His Dad, a black man skipped out on him, and yet it is white americas fault???
  8. If victory means having your face smashed, teeth kicked out, eyes gouged, throat ripped out, and guts repeatedly kicked, THAT MUST BE A VICTORY!
  9. We are listening very intensely. BRB
  10. It seems that the justices have a pretty firm handle on the argument. Justice Bader is pretty obvious in her disdain for firearms, but yet seems to understand that the right shall not be infringed. Chief Justice Roberts and Associate Justive Scalia have pretty much nailed it on the head. They also seem to understand that given the militia clause of the second, machine gus are of common use, and therefore reasonable as are pistol, and shotguns. I think DC has had ther "collective" asses handed to them and will be very suprised if the opinion rendered is that which will uphold the ban, and uphold restriction on forearms in contravenence to the U.S. Constitution. What is also amazing is how knowledgeable of firearms justice Scalia is, somehow I get the idea he is an active firearms enthusiast, or had been.
  11. Have you ever seen the rubber ball version of a claymore? Yikes!!!!

  14. How do you get the smell of patchoulli and sweaty stinky hippy off of combat boots????
  15. http://thelawdogfiles.blogspot.com/2008/03/oh-really.html "In related news, a bunch of moonbats calling themselves the Pittsburgh Organizing Group are planning a protest against a recruiting station. I absolutely refuse to pollute my blog with a direct link to these idiots (you can do a search on the organization name if you wish), but here's what they say in their announcement: On Wednesday, March 19, POG will be holding a torch-lit march to a modern day castle of abominations—our local military recruiting station. If the station remains open, we intend to evict it and everything inside of it, occupy the location, and transform it into something useful for the community. We'll also be bringing a movable cage in which to confine military recruiters until they no longer pose a danger to our friends and neighbors. I'd like to thank these whackos for telling us ahead of time what they're planning. May I suggest to any veterans in the Pittsburgh area who are reading this that the time has come for action? We can't ask our servicemen and -women to act, as they'd doubtless get into some sort of trouble with their Commanding Officers for not acting in the spirit of political correctness: but I suspect that we veterans are less bothered by that little fact. I'd love to see a group of suitably prepared veterans standing by near each and every recruiting center in the Pittsburgh area next Wednesday, ready for action. If the Pittsburgh Organizing Group should show up . . . well, guys and gals, let's show them how much veterans appreciate their attitudes and actions. I hereby undertake to fly up to Pittsburgh myself, at my own expense, to join the fun and games if such a group can be organized, and I invite other veteran readers to do likewise. While we're at it, why not show recruiters in that city how we feel about them with suitable gifts? I suggest chocolates, donuts and similar edibles might go down well - and in order to prove to them that we're not the opposition (and that the food's not poisoned) we could take coffee along and eat and drink with the guys and girls inside. That would put us in a very convenient position to deal with "intruders in the wire", so to speak. Peter * The term 'dontopedalogy' is derived from the Greek 'donto', meaning 'mouth', and 'pedal', meaning 'feet'. Basically, it means that every time a person opens his mouth he puts his foot in that orifice."
  16. I am in complete disagreement with McCain on a great many issues. I think that Hagee is scum, and to accept his endorsement is equally scummy. Hildebeast is nothing to be proud of either, and that is a HUGE understatement. The next POTUS will be one that I will not want, or be rather proud of. Our political process is one that excludes those that truly represent the people, and those most qualified in that respect. Thompson was far from perfect, he would readily admit it. But the fact stands that he was a far better choice than those campaigning, unless you only believe what the media spews in the propaganda that you are made to believe. We as a country are so lazy that we collectively will not research candidates voting records to find the answer, but rather merely listen to the shit that rolls out of their mouths. Soundbites are greater than substance Obama spews great rhetoric, but he will not be the great leader people dream he will be. Hillary we know about, as we do McCain. So tell me what would you rather have, someone that votes the constituents will, upholds the constitution, keeps their word, or someone that just tells you what you want to hear, and keeps telling us that they voted their conscience, when their conscience seems to allow a great many crimes or injustices?
  17. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright was an early concern, Obama aide admits After he moved to Chicago in the mid-1980s to work as a community organizer, Barack Obama forged close ties with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- joining the pastor’s Trinity United Church of Christ in 1988 and using the topic of a Wright sermon, "the audacity of hope," as the title of his most recent best-selling book. But more than a year ago -- long before some of Wright’s more incendiary sermons became hot-button videos on YouTube, forcing Obama to publicly renounce his pastor last week -- the Obama campaign had a sense that Wright's sharp tongue might spell trouble for the Illinois senator. (For a sermon sample, click on the Read more line below.) That was the word anyway Sunday from Obama’s chief strategist, David Axelrod, who acknowledged during a conference call with reporters that Wright was disinvited ... from Obama's official candidacy announcement on Feb. 10, 2007, in the shadow of the Old State Capitol in Springfield, Ill. Wright had been expected to lead an invocation of some kind, but never appeared. “There was no doubt that there was controversy surrounding him,” Axelrod said Sunday. “And we didn’t want to expose him … [or] make him the target and a distraction on a day when Sen. Obama was going to announce his candidacy.” So if the savvy Obama campaign knew Wright was a problem a year ago, why did the Illinois senator, a parish member for two decades, wait until last week to disassociate and denounce the minister's inflammatory statements? The topic is clearly uncomfortable for Obama and his aides, personally and politically. Axelrod's comments came only after prodding from a reporter and after he had initially suggested that Wright’s absence that day was due merely to the fact that the temperature was in the single digits. And even as Obama has condemned some of Wright’s rhetoric and distanced himself from his longtime spiritual advisor, doing so has not been easy. Wright remained on an African American religious advisory committee for the campaign until Friday. “Rev. Wright married him, introduced him, as he said, to the church, brought him into the church, into Christianity, baptized his children,” Axelrod said. “So this is a painful thing for him because he condemns the things Rev. Wright said, but he also knows him as a person.” Wright has proven controversial in the past because of his association with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has made anti-Semitic remarks. But the controversy has grown in recent weeks with the spread of videos from Wright sermons where he condemns the United States for its foreign policy and treatment of blacks and takes on Obama’s rival for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton. As Wright put it, “Hillary ain't never been called a nigger! Hillary has never had her people defined as non-person." On Friday, Obama posted a message at the Huffington Post website, explaining that he had not seen such sermons in person and saying that he disagreed with them. "I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy," he wrote. -- Peter Wallsten http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/03/throughout-his.html
  18. Can you be certain that that particular sermon was never given prior to that? Seems that the preacher in question has been doing sermons along those lines for quite some time. Unless you are willing to believe it only happened once, and that Obama has never heard such a sermon.

  20. Outstanding!!! I will not only watch, but record it on DVR for posterity. Of course we will have to sit through months of the brady bunch, and their minions in the media telling us how our rights need to be restricted for our own good. There is also a move afloat to ban body armor for civilians. [brady bunch-vpc] Nobody has a right to protect themselves from a shooting by wearing body armor, protection of ones self is not an individual right, but rather a collective one[/brady bunch-vpc]
  21. Did you not read the quote taken from his book? He quotes the same sermon that the second link highlights. Not only did he hear that sermon, he quoted from it in his book.
  22. Obama Condemns Pastor's Fiery Remarks WASHINGTON, March 14, 2008 (CBS/AP) Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Friday denounced inflammatory remarks from his pastor, who has railed against the United States and accused its leaders of bringing on the Sept. 11 attacks by spreading terrorism. As video of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright has widely aired on television and the Internet, Obama responded by posting a blog about his relationship with Wright and his church, Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, on the Huffington Post. Obama wrote that he's looked to Wright for spiritual advice, not political guidance, and he's been pained and angered to learn of some of his pastor's comments for which he had not been present. Obama's statement did not say whether Wright would remain on his African American Religious Leadership Committee, and campaign officials wouldn't say either. "I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies," Obama said. "I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it's on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Reverend Wright that are at issue." In a sermon on the Sunday after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, Wright suggested the United States brought on the attacks. "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Wright said. "We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost." In a 2003 sermon, he said blacks should condemn the United States. "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme." He also gave a sermon in December comparing Obama to Jesus, promoting his candidacy and playing down Clinton. Questions about Obama's religious beliefs have dogged him throughout his candidacy. He's had to fight against false Internet rumors suggesting he's really a Muslim intent on destroying the United States, and now his pastor's words uttered nearly seven years ago have become an issue. Obama wrote on the Huffington Post that he never heard Wright say any of the statements that are "so contrary to my own life and beliefs," but they have raised legitimate questions about the nature of his relationship with the pastor and the church. He explained that he joined Wright's church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, nearly 20 years ago. Wright officiated at Obama's wedding and the baptism of his children, reports CBS News correspondent Dean Reynolds. Obama said he knew Wright as a former Marine and respected biblical scholar who lectured at seminaries across the country. "Reverend Wright preached the gospel of Jesus, a gospel on which I base my life," he wrote. "... And the sermons I heard him preach always related to our obligation to love God and one another, to work on behalf of the poor, and to seek justice at every turn." He said Wright's controversial statements first came to his attention at the beginning of his presidential campaign last year, and he condemned them. Because of his ties to the 6,000-member church, Obama decided not to leave the congregation. Obama also has credited Wright with delivering a sermon that he adopted as the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope." "With Reverend Wright's retirement and the ascension of my new pastor, Rev. Otis Moss, III, Michelle and I look forward to continuing a relationship with a church that has done so much good," he wrote. Also Friday, the United Church of Christ issued a 1,400-word statement defending Wright and his "flagship" congregation. John H. Thomas, United Church of Christ's president, lauded Wright's church for its community service and work to nurture youth. Other church leaders praised Wright for speaking out against homophobia and sexism in the black community. "It's time for all of us to say no to these attacks and to declare that we will not allow anyone to undermine or destroy the ministries of any of our congregations in order to serve their own narrow political or ideological ends," Thomas said in the statement. ©MMVIII, CBS Interactive Inc. 23. That makes anyone else that is corrupt ok huh?
  24. Try: Washington Post CBS News Fox News Yahoo Herald I guess those are not mainstream enough for you to have heard his disavowment? You could even type "Obama Disavows Pastor's Remarks" into a search engine of your choice. So far we have him saying that he was suprised and shocked that Tony Rezko was doing something illegal, of course that started off with him saying that he did not believe it (Rezko was Obama's biggest fund raiser, and the largest fundraiser for our corrupt Gov. Blojobabitch) It seems that we once again have someone corrupt running for POTUS, ad nobody seems to mind.
