  3. I had to go with HR because a couple of lawyers i know gave me some free advice when some **** hit and an me off my motorbike (cheers mate) Just do what my staff do - become "cough cough" really ill a couple of days before you are due to go on the holiday you have been denied! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  4. Without reading all the posts again, who said this? The statement that a dog can evolve into a chicken for example is not really understanding how evolution works. They MAY have a common ancestor however, or they may not. Life didn't necessarily evolve all from one single organism, but it may have done. In the same way, noone is saying that we used to be gorillas. The likelihood is that we went through a primate style stage, but that is maybe where the ideas on niche development and speciation start coming in. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  5. I did this too!!! Guess it was probably a different "Dr O" though, and the opium didn't do very much for me! I kitesurfed from 1 island to another in the Phillipines - had dolphins out there with me for part of the way. That was pretty cool
  6. Wow - good pic! "Toto, i don't think we're at the DZ any more...." Never try to eat more than you can lift
  7. Ha ha - thats true actually!!! DO you like creepy crawlies and frogs as well!!?? Bigway - don't let that put you off though.... Never try to eat more than you can lift
  8. Reasonably big DZ, i have only been during boogie time but it seems to have everything you would want! There are a few regular langar jumpers on here so it shouldn't be too long before one chimes in..... Never try to eat more than you can lift
  9. I have to echo everything Marcanadalysse had to say, Japan is an amazing place with so much to offer culturally and in any other way. I have been a couple of times and never cease to be amazed by how clean it is, how friendly the people are and how much of a "service" culture they really have. It amazes me that you can make a statement such as your last one obviously in ignorance without having any knowledge of what a place is really like. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  10. Symbi rock - mine fits like a glove and was done in about 3 weeks (I paid for a rush) You up at the DZ this weekend? I think between us we have got pretty much all the brands, feel free to look mine over. Will be there unless the weather is REALLY bad!! (like last weekend ) Never try to eat more than you can lift
  11. Unfortunately VG jumps in the UK so canopies in that size for that sort of money are a bit like rocking horse poo!! Oh and for information she is 5'10" ish and about 145lbs so she I don't think reach or loading should be a major problem Never try to eat more than you can lift
  12. If it is possible under a skydiving canopy i would envisage a "spin" as the thing i have seendone by top paragliders where the whole caboodle rotates around an axis running through the centre of the canopy and down through the pilot. Thiunk they call it a helicopter or something. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  13. errrrr, i don't get it?! Why is a nikon vs a canon soundbite a martial art?! Never try to eat more than you can lift

    diesel or gas

Dunno about your particular vehicles, but here in the uk (where fuel economy is important!! ) diesels have much better economy although the fuel is a little pricier, and dependingon the type, they can go on for ever. 151k doesn't sound like very much - just check to see what the major service intervals are and if there is a timing belt change coming up (i think thats the expensive thing - any mechanics confirm??) 15. Jack Johnson - Very chilled guitar + vocal type stuff Scissor Sisters - fantastic album but not really sure how to describe it! Never try to eat more than you can lift
  16. I did Aikido very seriously for a few years - throws locks that kind of thing, not the most fitness focussed though but has good principles and can be very effective. Am currently doing some kung fu and that is good for the fitness and flexibility, however for pure fitness and mental toughness, i once did a combination of kickboxing (3 nights a week) and boxing (2 nights a week), and that sounds like it might suit your needs quite well - or something like BJJ as well. For fun, and flexibility and some seriously spectacular moves however, you can't beat capoeira - check it out I have to say though, that the validity and training even in the same style can vary massively from school to school so your best option is to find all the schools in your area and go along to a few trials to see what you think you might enjoy. Good luck Never try to eat more than you can lift
  17. Ooooooooh - any pictures??? I am going to be in the market for a full face come the holiday boogie.... Never try to eat more than you can lift
  18. Man that looks like a lot of weight stuck on your melon!!! As a dumb question - why do you have the 2 vids - i'm guessing 1 is a PC series and the bigger one.... Hi-8? is that for failsafe tandems/4way/movie quality?? Also - what lid is that underneath all the cameras!? Cheers, Dave Never try to eat more than you can lift
  19. I think it will be for both - am not sure that there are enough skydivers in spitting distance to make it a feasible business proposition if it was exclusive. They are fortunate in that it will be sited to some other "extreme experience" type attractions such as an indoor ski-slope, so it will probably appeal to the stag party brigade Never try to eat more than you can lift
  20. Thanks for the pictures Levin - whats the thinking behind the biplane? Is it intended for a purpose or is it just a "curiosity" prototype? Never try to eat more than you can lift
  21. I hardly ever post in here but for once..... ..... I agree with PJ! I don't understand why our government went from being civil servants to civil evil dictators Problem with laser tag, is that a) we might actually enjoy it and b) they can't tax it any more than they already do. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  22. Ninjas and vampires - preferably in the same story!! (Edited to add: Roll on Blade Trinity....) Never try to eat more than you can lift
  23. Yes please - would love one!!! Never try to eat more than you can lift
